I did a lot of research for the perfect raincoat. I wanted something more feminine and stylish rather than sporty, and wanted a longer length - something that could be dressier but not look out of place for casual wear. This North Face trench fit the bill. I love the style and fit, and always appreciate the North Face quality. This is not an insulated or particularly warm jacket, more for spring/summer rain. It is completely waterproof but does have more of that noisy raincoat material. I found it a little difficult to zip up for some reason. I ordered both the S and XS (I am 5'4", 118 pounds, petite build) and found the S a little bulky. I kept the XS, which I probably wouldn't wear with heavy layering underneath, but fits more like the way it does on the model. If I needed to layer, the S would probably be necessary.

I’ve been looking for a rain coat for many years. This one was practical, kinda flattering but I ultimately returned it because the fabric was too stiff

This coat is lovely but why are the North Face coats so small in the shoulders? It forces you to go up a size or select another brand.

LOVE the length, keeps you thighs and bottom dry. Fabric is a little stiff and heavy the other long jacket was lined so it was too warm for rainy days.

This is my wife's second jacket of this type. She loves it and it looks great on her.

I was looking for rain gear to take on a trip to Scotland, something I could use for layering. Love that this coat is lightweight, will keep more of me dry and is very stylish. I haven't worn it yet so can't vouch for how dry it will keep me but I suspect it will be just fine. It doesn't have all the features as do the jackets but I am not hiking, just perhaps being on tour walking for a good part of the day. I bought the large and not sure how much I will be able to fit under it as it seems to fit just fine.

Love the pockets and the reflective tape on the back of the belt. It is so lightweight that I can easily pack it a carry on.

This is a great rain jacket, and dressy enough for work and all occasions! It fits true to size.

The coat has a nice fit. I like that it shows one's waistline. Casual enough to wear with jeans, but could be a little dressy if need be.

Purchased it for my wife. She loves it.

Perfect weight for Florida rainy season Very stylish and classy looking

I was looking for a raincoat to wear on my commute to work that didn't look too sporty, yet was truly functional. This raincoat definitely fits the bill! It is a real-deal raincoat that has great urban styling. The belt defines your waist and gives great shape to the coat, and the styling gives the appearance of a trench coat. There are a couple of reviews for this coat that were definitely meant for a different product-- there IS a two-way zipper on this coat, and there is NO fleece lining. This is a thin, spring/fall raincoat with no lining, and the interior is not sticky at all like some raincoats. This raincoat has a lot of great features: a pull tab at the back of the hood that helps you adjust it to the right size to keep it on your head, a BIG hood that actually covers my full head and prevents my glasses from getting rained on, an internal media pocket, two snaps on the bottom of the back of the coat to allow for more movement, deep front pockets, a two-way zipper that lets you unzip from the bottom for more movement, and my favorite feature EVER that I didn't see mentioned--a no-show easy access zippered pocket on the end of the right sleeve for your bus/subway pass! I am very pear-shaped--usually a S/M on top and a L/XL on the bottom, and the L coat had plenty of room to layer up top (I can easily fit a fleece or thick sweater), and is snug on the bottom. I see reviews saying to order a size up--I would say only do so if you need more room on the bottom, otherwise order true to size!

I bought this for a month long trip to Europe where rain is predicted. I wanted something non bulky and waterproof. I wish it had a zip out lining and I wish that the hood detached or rolled up into the collar. I love the dark black color, navy would be nice too. I am thankful that it did not have a logo on it, to keep me in a low profile in a non-english speaking country.

This tie-waist jacket makes you look amazing with a shape while braving the wet weather. I am totally excited for it to rain because I won't be hidden beneath a shapeless Goretex mess once it hits. Instead, hit the streets with a cute waist and a big hood. The only thing is sleeves are slightly long. Not a deal breaker.

I like a light coat, this has a fleece lining for colder days and warmer weather can remove the liner. I did have to reorder an extra large. The large felt to tight. Love the new size and coat.

Fit of this coat is great and it is a great alternative to a traditional trench coat. The length of the coat is nice and the hood provides good coverage. It is worth noting that the dot print (I purchased the grey) is much less noticeable than it was in the photo.

Gave this as gift to daughter in law. She loved it! Just what she was looking for.
