seems to be pretty good coat. it is not as thick as i wanted it to be but it is warm so far. the picture however shows the coat inside it to be a bright blue and its a very light pale blue in it. wish i had spent ab 70 more and gotten a thicker coat. should of went in the store so i could try them on and then pick out according better.

This jacket is great because of its waterproof and light breathable material! My favorite coat ever! Wear this all the time!

I would use this jacket mainly for rainy weather as we are expecting El Nio. I can also layer this jacket. Either way none of it is bulky and it keeps me warm

Got this jacket as a gift from my boyfriend and I love it! I always buy north face for their quality. My last jacket lasted me for years! This jacket is perfect for both cold and mild days! The inside removable jacket is great for a cool day by itself. The outter shell is perfect for rainy days and just on days when a light jacket is all you need. When you put them both together it is warm enough to wear on cold winter days. (So far the coldest day was in the 30s, and I was fine with this jacket on) THE ONLY thing that was almost an issue was the size. I am 4"11 113lbs, the website recommended a small, I got an extra small. The inside part would of been great as a small (the xsm is ok, just not ideal) but the outter shell is perfect as an xsmall. So I guess the inside fleece runs a bit small? Overall love it!

The North Face Triclimate 3-In-1 Jacket's have pretty much the same Outer DryVent™ 2L Exterior Shell/Jacket. The difference in price is the interior "zip-in" jacket. Not all of the "Zip-In" jackets are good stand alone jackets and in recent years really gone down in quality. In this case I did not believe the "zip-out insulator" was something I would want to wear alone or worth the added expense.
The reason for buying a Triclimate 3-In-1 Jacket is the interior zipper. You can zip in many of the other North Face Jackets/Vests in these jackets not just the one which comes with it. The North Face Aconcagua Vest II, The North Face Osito Vest Or Jacket, The North Face Mossbud Insulated Reversible Vest, The North Face Mossbud Swirl Vest, The North Face ThermoBall™ Vest, etc.
If you find a Triclimate 3-In-1 Jacket in a style and color you love just know you can purchase any of the above to zip in side. Solids work best for this.

I bought this because my other triclimate jacket is just a little bit too snug to be comfortable. The quality of this coat is great, but if I don't want to freeze in the current sub-zero temperatures we're having this winter, I have to wear layer upon layer upon layer, which defeats the purpose of the jacket in the first place. This jacket would be better suited for mid-fall when it's in the mid-40s or 50s.

The 2XL is way to big and the XL is a tad smaller then I’d like and leaves very little room for a sweatshirt. I kept the XL so it doesn’t look overly big. It’s also not as warm as I thought it’d be (I’m in MN) but I will say it does look nice and I really like the color.

Really wanted to love this jacket, however after wearing it on the Overland track for 6 days, where it rains quite alot, I can safely say this jacket was not very waterproof at all. We had rain for 3 days straight however by the end of the first day my moiture wicking shirt underneath was soaking wet, and it definitely wasnt from sweat because 1. It was freezing and 2. I dont sweat enough to cause a soaked top. Having said that, this jacket also has poor ventilation.
Was very dissappointed and also quite miserable on the trail as I was expecting to be kept dry in this expensive jacket . My husband has the Apex jacket and he stayed completely dry.

Would love to buy a winter north face coat, a large fits but if you stretch ur arms out it gets tight in armpit area..or ir u reach ur arms up past ur head tight in arpits..xl is to big but fits better in armpits..i have the large soft shell fits perfect..but not warm enough for maine winters so thats why i want 3n1 jacket..

Over all this is a good jacket, but it is extremely large around my waste. In the pictures it looks like it has form, but in person it goes straight down making it look like a men's jacket. It is the correct size because it fits my arms well, but the puckering and empty space around my waste is hard to get past. Strongly considering returning it.

Second jacket I've bought this year. First one in a large was too small, and the xl is huge. Last jacket purchased 4 years ago was great! Now I can't seem to find the right fit. Getting frustrated....

Though it's an attractive jacket, it is just not warm enough when it is truly cold out, 20 degrees or less. I will be returning mine :(

The hood doesn't detach. The inner coat sticks to long sleeves and pulls out at the sleeve when putting on. So that a pain it's easier to wear short sleeves with it. It is warm. Covers ur butt. Wish u had waited for when it went on sale. Paid over 200. Dont think it's worth it. Lands end has much warmer coats

I loved the colors when I purchased this online. When I received it, the colors weren't the same. The inner jacket was a baby blue color instead of what is pictured. Overall I like the jacket and it kept me warm, but I just wish the colors matched.

I bought this jacket in hopes of staying warm and dry in my job that often has me outdoors. It is simply not warm enough, even for a Texas winter. I had a three in one jacket that carried me through 11 Boston winters. This one won't get me through one winter in Texas. It is also stiff and uncomfortable in the neck.

I feel as though since I found this product in the extended size portion of the site, this product should fit as though it is an extended size. I find that many North Face products run smaller than the true size should be. Also, This product was modeled on someone who is 5'10" who wears a medium size. Not ALL humans are a size medium or 5'10". Most of these products are not ones that reach out to people who are a bigger size. I usually wear an xl/xxl and I always have a hard time trying to find someone that is a true size that fits my body type.

The "Warmth" rating is way off on this jacket, I live in Michigan and this isn't warm enough to spend an extended period of time outside in the winter. The fleece liner is thin and again not warm. I ended up having to take out the liner it came with and replace it with an old Columbia fleece I had laying around to make it sufficiently warm enough. Here's my two cents... spend a few more bucks and get the triclimate with the down jacket instead. The fit was perfect I'm 5'3 106lbs and I ordered the small, it's got just enough room for a hoodie or something underneath, if you want to wear it mainly with a thin liner ( like it comes with) and want it to be more form fitting I suggest the XS.
