I was looking for a combo jacket that could withstand some of the elements - namely, drops in temperature, wind and rain - on my trip to Iceland. After using the Watson feature, this jacket appeared to be the best option for my price range. It was excellent at repelling water - I stayed completely dry during a downpour while traveling - but I was somewhat disappointed in its insulation capacity. The inner fleece, while very comfy, wasn't as warm as I wanted and I had to wear a couple of layers underneath this jacket while wandering around. Additionally, the zipper for the outer jacket gets stuck pretty easily. All in all, this is a decent, versatile jacket and I'll be keeping it.

Such a cute jacket! I ordered the quail gray and it's a BEAUTIFUL color!! Can't wait to try it out on our trip to New York! I only rated it a 4 star because I haven't got to try it out yet since I live in Arkansas!

Purchased this in the Quail Grey which I really liked. Coat is very well constructed, fits well as expected, the liner does fit smaller than my current north face coats but not too small, I think if I went up a size the shell would be too large. The liner in the coat is very lightweight, used alone would be good for spring, early fall or cool summer nights. Unfortunately, this coat was too light weight for my needs, with shell and liner together feels like it would be good for late fall/early winter but will not get me through a full Michigan winter so it will be returned.

This jacket is great! It has a warm fleece inside that you can unzip out and then the rain jacket out on the outside! It's very practical when traveling in climates that are cold and wet! My only concern is that it runs a little small. All my other north face jackets I wear a medium, so I got a medium in this one. It's tight in the arms. I would recommend going up a size.

The fit guide was great. I ordered the extra large, and the jacket fits easily over my bulky winter sweaters. I love the detachable rain coat; it keeps me dry and not too hot. Combined with the inner thermal, it is great for snow. I'm very happy with this purchase.

It fits well but I've only had it for a week and have had the zipper get stuck a few times and would enjoy more pockets than just two... Especially in the inside.

Everything is great but the zipper of the outer shell is a little bit wiggling, making it difficult to zip sometimes. However the zipper does travel along its direction and not misplaced. Usable after getting accustomed to this. So I am not returning the jacket for this single reason, maybe this is how it is.

Use it for everyday. I usually take a large, but got XL cause heard they run little small. Sleeve liner always gets caught. Love everything else tho!

Coat is great for the wet/windy weather here. Its very warm and not super bulky! Only thing i will say is the inner coat on the blue is more of an ice blue than a medium but still very pretty.

Great jacket, very cute. I bought it primarily for a ski jacket. Not sure it will be warm enough for bitterly cold days, but perfect for spring skiing. I do wish it had some inside pockets, but overall a great jacket and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Jacket is very warm and stylish, but is too small. I need a large and is unavailable. What I am really bummed about is that all of the products in my size that I like have been gone since before Christmas!

I bought this jacket to replace a rain jacket that needed repairs. North Face doesn't make the jacket I had originally so I purchased this to replace it (love the lifetime warranty! I got a $199 gift card from TNF because my other jacket couldn't be repaired). This is only the second TNF product I have owned. I have never owned a three-in-one jacket before and I was pleasantly surprised with all the options! I can wear the shell when it's warmer and rainy, I can wear the liner with the shell when it's colder (I've also worn the liner with a different jacket because it's been especially cold this winter) and I can just wear the liner as a cute jacket. Not sure if this is just my problem or an issue with the zipper but the zipper on the shell continues to snag the fabric on the inside of the shell. I've made an effort to pul the fabric away from the zipper while zipping and that helps. I ordered a medium because I have a small frame but wider hips and I wanted the jacket to fit over my hips/butt. It does fit there but the sleeves are quite long and the jacket in the trunk and chest area is quite roomy. It's a pro because I can layer the coat with a sweatshirt but a con when I just wear it with the liner, it's kind of baggy. My husband says it looks fine and it really does cut the wind nicely! I'm keeping it because I'm afraid the small would be too tight on on hips. The liner fits great on it's own and is actually my favorite part of the jacket! I would recommend this jacket but I would caution about the bagginess if you are going for a fitted look, this isn't going to work for you. For comparison: I'm 130 pounds, 5' 4" and I wear a small/extra small on top and a size 8 or 10 in jeans. I have a down coat from Lands End that goes down to my knees. It's an extra small and fits me fine but is a bit tight around the hips.

Truthfully, I don't like the green color. Planning to return. That aside, this is a quality made coat. Only issue is the color. If you're sure about the color, I absolutely recommend.

Using this jacket daily. Right now we have really strong winds here, and this jacket really keeps me warm. I made a good choice with choosing that nice casual jacket :-)

I love the look and warmth of this jacket. The inside jacket sleeve fabric sticks to whatever you are wearing and pulls the fabric up to your elbow and the arm sleeve pulls out of the coat. The lining should be made of a smooth material that will not stick. Otherwise, I absolutely love the jacket - the coat with the smooth lining was sold out when I purchased this coat, but I did not think it would be this big a problem.

I read reviews on all the Northface jackets before deciding on this one and I'm so glad I purchased it. In Washington's ever changing climate, it's great to be able to unzip the lining and wear three different varieties of coat depending on temperature and rain. It's lightweight but very warm. I don't think it would be good for long periods of time in freezing temps without movement but I've been wearing it for over s month in 30-50 degree weather, running errands, neighborhood walks, and I am more than warm enough! The hood is great too and I hardly even notice it's there when I don't have it up. I am 5'7", 150lbs and I bought a large so I would have room to layer underneath. It is plenty big without looking baggy and the sleeves come down about 4 inches past my wrists which I like. The only thing that would make this jacket better is inside pockets in the liner.

What I liked about it is the inside jacket is detachable and I can use it at work. I also like the style, I look smart in it. I wish there's more pockets inside the jacket.
