This was, actually, a very soft, very comfortable sandal that I could austensibly wear all day. The look was very casual, and a perfect sandal for peasant skirts, jeans, casual summer dresses worn by free spirited youth.. I, on the other hand, am a sedate senior.

I've been holding off on a quality sandal purchase because I always end up disappointed. I ordered these with my fingers crossed. The moment I slipped them on they were like butter. So comfortable, so cute. They're flattering and earthy without being matronly. The leather is beautiful. The true test was wearing them to my kid's baseball opening day, 9 hours of standing and walking, chasing a 1 year old, and carrying a baby.......my feet did not bother me one bit. Say what?!!! I'm in love and we're in it for the long hall.

This was my first time purchasing OluKai brand shoes and I love them so far! It is hard to find stylish sandals that also provide decent support. These have a great rubber like sole and I look forward to wearing them at the beach and throughout the summer. The leather is quality and I love the gold strap with the brown leather. I am in between a size 10 and 11 and I purchased a 10 for these shoes.

Great arch support considering I have high arches. True to size. And didn't even have to break in. Super comfortable.

Had a hard time deciding between these and the Hi'ona. Both were comfortable and cute. The Hi'ona has a slightly thicker sole and a little more space if you have a wider or thicker foot. Both are a casually dressy sandal option. The Upena fit my foot like a glove, which is why I ended up going with them. I have a similar style Chaco that is more for hiking and water activities that I have always loved. I was in search of a moderately dressy sandal with a heel strap that would be comfortable enough for a couple hours of walking. Taking my young children to Disney World and wanted a sandal that I could wear a little dressed up in the evenings with a sundress for dinners at nicer places, but has a heel strap so that I wouldn't lose on a ride. I have high arches, these don't have especially fantastic arch support but they are comfortable enough without looking like old lady shoes.

These fit me like a glove! I could personally use a little more cushion/heel/arch support, but they are still quite comfortable. The pewter silver was a little dark for my skin tone and what I plan to wear them with. Exchanged for the mustard/champagne and they are great!

So thrilled with these - I bought them off season because I had a coupon and needed comfortable sandals to replace some old, cushion less ones. I ordered these and the Chaco Dorra to compare and it was no contest. These are literally the most comfortable sandals (or shoes!) I've ever put on, they feel amazing on my feet - AND at the same time they have a very cute, simple style that could be worn with a wide variety of clothes and there is nothing orthopedic OR "hiking sandal" looking about them.

Love them! I walked all over India for 10 days wearing only these sandals the entire trip. They are comfortable from the get-go and only get better as you wear them. These are even better than both pairs of Olukai flip flops I own; but only because the heel strap keeps them on my feet better.

one shoe (L) fit larger than the the other (R). The fixed strap running diagonal was very loose. I tried tightening the buckle however, this tightened the other two adjustable straps, not the one needed. I am going to reorder and hopefully this was just an isolated issue.

Needed a comfy sandal for a trip to Japan and Hong Kong, but didn't have time to break something in so I chose these. Awesome decision. The leather straps are soft, the foot bed is flexible yet provides support. Has great traction. Was weary of wearing them on the days it was supposed to rain (due to the leather stretching) but overall a great and very comfortable sandal. The shimmery pewter made these easy to dress up a bit. I didn't have an issue with the toe strap and usually I would.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SHOE! UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE A VERY HIGH INSTEP AND THE STRAP WHICH BUCKLES IS TOO SHORT. I AM AFRAID IT WILL TEAR OVER TIME. ALTHOUGH I AM RETURNING THIS SHOE, I AM ORDERING ANOTHER OLUKAI SANDAL IN WHICH MY INSTEP IS NOT AN ISSUE.

This sandal fits the bill so far for going from casual day to dressy casual night. I don't know if there is enough cushion for me to walk in them for hours, but I doubt I will use them for long standing or touring days. I would prefer a bit more cush, but the comfort of the straps and the style make them my top choice of sandals I have tried. Fabric or stitched leather straps seem to all feel irritating, scratchy or itchy, Teva and Chaco, lately. I expect to get a lot of use from these attractive sandals.

Very cute and with ARCH SUPPORT! As comfortable as my Birks but a little more refined looking. The strap over the pinky toe and the strap around the big toe are a little tight, but they loosen up quickly since they're leather.

I hadn't heard of this brand before, but this is a great, well-made, casual sandal with an impressive molded footbed. (The material and shape feels great.) Similar to Born Rene, but these fit better!

Love these right out of the box. I have worn Birkenstocks but these are so much more comfortable! The footbed of the Birks are just so hard & rough to me. These Olukai's are soft & smooth. I actually walked 4 miles in these (the 2nd time wearing) with total comfort. Stylish & great color too.

Love this sandal. Better than moderate support. Dress up or casual.

I love these shoes. When you first put these sandals on, it feels as if you've already worn them and the foot bed is dented and curved to fit your foot! I mean, not in a bad way, in the "It's already comfy but it's also squeaky new" sort of way. You know what I mean. They're super cute (but I don't need to tell you that) and really comfy.

Super cute sandal, and surprisingly comfortable with low/med arch support. I'm tempted to buy a second pair because I know I will wear them for the entire summer.

Received the OluKai Upena sandal today and immediately put them on and was so happy! The leather is soft so it won't cause blisters, comfortable foot bed, etc. They are like going barefoot! I am going back and ordering another color! If you are on the fence, jump off and call Zappos and order these...you won't be sorry!

It took me 3 tries but I finally found some sandals I love. These OluKai are great. So comfortable yet simple and stylish. Very happy with them.

Great color and super comfortable, even though straps run a bit loose. Wore these many many miles. The fabric piece near the buckle broke after about 2 years of wear, which is disappointing since otherwise the sandals lasted well.

Can ways count on Olukai for exceent fit! I wore them the first time to Auburn game. Several hours on my feet and they never hurt! Very comfortable! My only complaint was the strap across the toe rubbed a little on left foot but again was on my feet several hours. Love these sandals!!

Super cute - not quite as supportive as I would wish for, and yet - I can walk in them for about an hour (with my dog), and it's a-ok. (And I have plantar fasciitis that acts up sometimes, so this is no mean feat.) Adorable.

These are attractive and seem to be of good quality. If not for the toe loop they probably would have been perfect. I think I have pretty average feet, but maybe my big toes are girthier than normal? It felt like the circulation was slowly getting cut off. When I took them off there were red indentations where the straps were digging in. They might get better with some wear, but I'm not willing to take the risk for the price.
