I already owned a couple of pairs of OluKai Upena shoes and these lived up to the expectation. I love the arch support, fit and look of these sandals. They are well built and durable.

I normally wear a size 6.5 to 7 shoe, depending on the type and brand. After reading the reviews I ordered both the 6 and the 7. The 7 ended up being a tad bit too long and the 6 fit my foot perfect. I was also afraid the 7’s would stretch out too much and flop around on my feet. I like the fact that these do have some arch support which I need so I can’t wear really flat sandals. Got the golden sand color which is a taupe but love it because its so neutral and can wear with anything.

I returned these so this is only based on trying them on. I normally wear an 8 and the 8 fit me perfectly. I thought they were comfortable - my foot didn't slide around so the straps were tight enough but not so tight that I felt they'd dig in. My only problem, and the reason I returned them, is I thought the sole felt too thin for what I wanted them for -- which is a lot of walking while traveling. I think they're super cute and comfy but I was worried about them on cobblestones or rocky roads, etc. I've never had OluKai's before so maybe they'd do better than I thought. I have a Mortons neuroma so I have to be a little picky about shoes now, sadly. I think I'll stick with my trusty Birks...

The most amazing and comfortable shoes ever. It doesn't even feel like you have anything on. I wear them constantly in the summer without any rubs or blisters, and walk miles and miles without issue. Love these shoes. The only thing I have to say is that I have a narrow heel, so I had to wear them on the tightest fitting, and after being lazy and slipping them on and off over my heel for two summers, I had to get the straps taken in by a cobbler. But I love these shoes enough that it was totally worth it to get them fixed. Otherwise, they show almost no signs of wear after two years.

I absolutely loved these sandals! Unfortunately one of the straps that was near my big toe was rubbing. I tried wearing them around my house for a few days to see if they may stretch or "break in" but it wasn't happening so I returned them.

I love these sandals. I had bought a pair from REI a couple of years back and after wearing them every day for a long time they wore out. I bought my second pair here on Zappos and they still hold up. So comfortable and cute too.

I've been a fan of the Olukai Ohana flip-flops for years, but they're not work-friendly. I've been in search of a shoe or sandal I can comfortably stand at my desk in for long than an hour, and found the Upena sandals. I was so happy when they arrived and look like the other sandals I wear to work, but with the same supportive footbed as the Ohanas. I can stand at my desk for over an hour with no impact on my back of any fatigue.

The best travel sandals! Walked 8 miles daily during our summer trip in France, very comfortable.

I almost didn't keep these. Initially, I thought they felt cheap for the price. But the more I wore them around the house the more I liked them. Comfortable, stylish sandals that are more secure than flip flops. I plan to buy another pair in black next year.

WOW! Are you kidding me? These are the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned! True to size- I always go up in size in sandals for some reason. I put these on right out of the box and left them on for awhile, as they were more comfortable than my bare feet- amazing support and super cute!

These are so cute and comfortable. Great sandal if you need a bit more support than you get from a thong style. Sort of hippie--cute! Super well made and great company philosophy.

These sandals look and feel great. I was thinking about the leather Chaco but am between sizes so gave these a try instead.. I am a true size 6 and that is what I ordered. Fit perfect!! I got the Kona Coffee color and love the color. Exactly as the computer showed it. As always, thanks Zappos!!

Hooray! These are the sandals I've been hunting for--super comfy yet stylish enough to wear to a casual office or out for an evening. Similar to a trendy sport sandal but without the industrial-grade (heavy!) sole. Toe strap and molded footbed make them stable and substantial feeling, quiet underfoot (no flip, flop, or slap) and light and easy to wear all day. They'll pack well, too. I'm a solid size 8.5, so ordered an 8 and a 9, based on other reviews. For me, the 9 is perfect, with the tad bit of extra length evenly split between the front and back of the foot. Looks good, feels good!

The length was a little bit short as I'm usually 8.5 - 9 and I was right up to end of the 9. The footbed is super comfortable and the straps are sturdy but soft. The charcoal color is closer to brown than to black but is a really good neutral color that will go with anything.

Really comfortable, nice looking sandal. Size 6 felt true to size. Dress up or down.

I loved how these looked on and really wanted to keep them. I wish they came in a wide width. I needed these for a walking trip, though, and needed the shoe to be absolutely comfortable. Wearing these around the house I could feel the straps starting to rub. They're leather so maybe they would stretch but I couldn't risk it. I do have a bunion on one foot and these worked OK with that. They were also really uncomfortable when I first put them on, but you can move the straps around and adjust the ankle strap so that they feel completely different. Try messing around with the straps before you return if you have the same trouble I did.

This is the second pair I've owned. I bought them last summer and wore them everyday. Even during a trip to Disneyland (lots of walking and on my feet). They are comfortable with good sole and arch support. They are quality made. I only replaced them this summer because the sole and arch do wear down (natural materials) and the straps became a little loose due to getting wet. Otherwise the sandal is excellent and worth every penny - twice.

These sandals are great! The fit was perfect and the comfort level is out of this world. It's like wearing my comfortable slippers out into the world! A little support, so much better than typical sandals, the foot bed is great. Love, love, love these..

This sandal is very comfortable and I love the look. I have been looking for a pair like these for a long time. Very happy with these shoes!

I never wear out a pair of shoes until now. My pt had a pair of these shoes, found them & wear constantly. I had to have arch supports & these have what I needed. I only hope they are never discontinue!

Very comfortable and light weight. I do find that when I’m very hot, my feet swell and the strap around the toe can get a bit tight. But other than that, super comfy!

Very cute summer sandal but runs small. Straps were very tight across top of the foot and the toe ring.

I've had these sandals for about 3 years now and love them so much. The charcoal/pewter is a nice neutral that goes with everything. I also like the rubber bottom and have been able to use them in the water (on a boat, in the river, at the beach); they rinse off easily and the leather seems to have held up well over time. They're also super comfortable. I'm debating on ordering a new pair just in case they get discontinued.

These are nice sandals. They feel very substantial and flexible, and I think they'd last. Also thought the arch support was good for a sandal. The only thing I didn't like was the strap around my big toe was too tight and uncomfortable. Sadly, returning.

Love these! Very comfortable, good arch support. I am usually a 6.5 but went with a 6 and they fit great
