My husband has worn these pants over the years. I never tried a pair, but after purchasing him 2 from North Face for Christmas, I decided to try them myself. I love them. They are lightweight, comfortable and stylish. Great for casual wear and hiking.

Bought these hiking pants because: #1 they are in a petite length. #2 plenty of room to wear a base layer underneath. Can't wait to wear them more in Alaska!

I am 5'7.5" tall weighing 125 lbs. The size 2 long fit me perfectly. These are my go to pants for all things casual or rugged. I wear them hiking or out to a casual restaurant. They wash up beautifully and dry in a flash in the dryer or out on the clothesline. I love them so much I've already bought a second pair and wish they came in many more colors. It seems absurd to me to be wearing dark colors during the summer. Dark colors absorb heat and attract biting insects. Fortunately the insects don't seem able to bite through the fabric so there is no need to wear insect repellent. It would also be nice to offer these in a cargo pants/shorts style for those who would like more or larger pockets.

I have two pair, the tan and grey. These are wonderful. Lightweight and comfortable. Just right for coming out of winter and into spring. Lots of storage, but stylish without being clunky looking cargo pants. Packs le for any outing. I'm definitely getting a couple more!

I had one pair of these pants that I've worn on numerous hiking/camping trips. After trying out a few other brands and being dissatisfied, I ended up buying the exact same pants in another color!

Finally, The North Face has added a dark gray color! Now if these would only come in a dark blue or navy :) For reference I'm 5'3, 110 lbs. and typically wear a 0 Short in these pants, but sized down to a 00 Short after reading reviews. These fit to a tee and are a versatile staple for outdoor recreation.

The pants fit great and were very comfortable to wear on boat fishing for 8 hours a day! If you are not sure about size, I would order a size down. I also loved that you offered the option for short! They were awesome. Perfect for wading, getting soaking wet and drying fast! Loved them!

These pants fit well. I was worried that the zipper would look bulky but it doesn't. They are a little long on me-I'm 5'5.

Used these pants for hiking. Great fit, lightweight. I like that they can be converted to shorts. They also have multiple pockets which is also a pro.

Love it!!! Bought it, and the Adventuress Hike style, for our trip to Iceland and it was perfect! It is lightweight (great on saving room in the suitcase and does not feel bulky when you wear thermals underneath) and water resistant/quick drying (rained most days in Iceland during our stay and pants were dry in no time). Like the fact that you can also wear it as a short. North Face is the brand I usually buy for outdoor activities.

I've used these pants twice this past summer on a 5-day canoe trip and a 3-day backpacking trip. On both trips I wore these pants everyday! On the canoe trip, they got wet a LOT, and they would dry very quickly, even in damp weather. I have large hips and a small waist, so the drawstring waist was AMAZING! I also have short legs, so shorts usually are very long on me, but this length is absolutely amazing. I literally have no complaints and they were worth every penny!

Not only are these pants convertible but also can be rolled up to make capris! I love the quick dry material and the stretch. I tried pants that were sized large but they were too big and the medium was too snug. Being able to order by true size, 12 for me, is wonderful!

I love these pants. This is my second pair, as the first pair i got from a clothing swap and were always too big on me. i never thought i'd be a zip off pants kind of woman but they make so much sense when you are mountaineering and it's sunny out! best venting system. so easy to cool off quickly.

I love the quality and versatility of these pants. The weather here can change so fast, I love that I can have durable pants or shorts in one shot! I'm 5'3" and really needed shorter ones, these are a bit too long for me.

I purchased these to hike Mount sinai in Egypt. I won't know how they held up until November but I can tell they're very durable with plenty of pockets. They're breathable and I loved that they convert into shorts.

Bought these pants for our safari trip. These pants are perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, game drives, etc. I love that you can unzip them to turn them into shorts. Its a great way to save room on a more active vacation where you need to pack light. They're also great if you're planning on being gone all day since you can wear them as pants or shorts. The fabric is comfortable and light. Also love that they come in a short length option.

These pants are great quality. I haven't had a chance to wear them. I bought them for a trip to Colorado, but we had to reschedule. I ordered a size 6 (I'm 5' 5" and 135). I may end up getting the 4. They were a little big.

I have worn these as pants and as shorts. Both fit very well and look nice on. They are light, but don't let wind through like some other light pants. I haven't worn these in very hot weather, so I can't say much for breathability yet, but I can attest that they dry quickly! So far I am very happy with these pants/shorts!
