This shoe is made using 2 different leathers! I found that out by purchasing the caramel color first and it was perfect. I then purchased the black and it was extremely tight. The store manager at the time told me it was a different leather. He ordered the gray color because he said made with same leather as the caramel and it was perfect. People should know this!!! It makes a huge difference in the fit. I read a review from someone who sent it back because too tight and felt narrow. I’m betting it’s the black! Hope this helps because I adore these she’s and will replace caramel soon since I wear it everyday and want a nice pair for good occasions

I have PTTD, Plantars Fasciitis, Bone Spurs, arthritis -- you name it in my feet. I wanted something that I could wear with capris, jeans and these are perfect. They are super comfortable and I can do more then I have ever done. I am a true size 9 normal width and my heal is right at the edge so I wish they were slightly longer but I will get used to it. The back curves up a tiny bit and my heels can feel it - which is weird. But overall great purchase. I usually don't spend this much on shoes but I continue to buy shoes that are not comfortable and they sit in the closet. Over the long run, it will even out.

This style is similar to the "Rome", only on a flat, more stable platform. If it helps anyone, I normally wear a 6 1/2-7M. This normally translates into a 37 in sandals. Well, in this style, a 37 seems to be a true size 6. My foot is in between sizes, which seems to happen a lot lately with Naot. Sad.

I wanted to love these sandals. When I first put them on they felt wonderful then I began to walk and the story changed. The right shoe had a knotted thread that could be felt when you took a step also the removable insole shifted when you walked and both the knot and the inner edge of the shoe rubbed uncomfortably. I ordered a second pair and the same thing happened, way too uncomfortable to wear. It appears the insole was cut too narrowly, I don't know what was going on with the knotted thread. These defects are not expected in a sandalthis expensive or in a brand such as Naot.

I am a dedicated fan of Naot shoes. I own many pairs and they are always my go-to for comfort and great support. But these sandals didn't cut it for me. I liked the overall look of the shoes and they seem like they would work well for summer, the kind of shoes you can quickly slip on with a skirt or sundress. But they are too tight across the top of my foot and they cut in an unflattering way near my ankle. I'm sure the top would stretch a bit and solve the tightness issue, but the cut isn't going to change. Sadly, I am sending them back. For someone with a more slender foot, though, I think these might work well.

I am such a fan of Naot shoes but the pair I was just sent was a disappointment. They did not have the "sawtooth" tread that is shown in the picture. That was the style feature that attracted me to these shoes. The shoes I received had some flat treadless bottom. The feel of these shoes was not typical of the quality I expect from Naot. This pair of shoes looked and felt like something you would find in a discount department store. Definitely not worth $160. I'm really disappointed the picture did not match the shoes I received. I will always be a Naot fan and I am great ful Zappos has such an easy return policy.

The shoe is beautifully made, but runs small. I am very disappointed to return, because I love this brand for support and comfort. This was going to be my one pair to take on a cruise.

I usually wear a 9.5, and I ordered the Ardisia in a 41. They fit perfectly and were comfortable right out of the box. I struggle with foot pain, and am on a constant quest to find supportive shoes that don't look matronly; I'm very pleased with these. In the past I've found Naots to be on the narrow side; these fit more like a medium width. I have a low arch but still need support; the arch in these is a tad bit high for me but not so high that I can't wear them.

I wear custom orthotics in my shoes, and these sandals are perfect for me. I've worn European sizing before, so I know I'm a 40. My orthotic fits perfectly. I bought the tan color leather and I love them. There's one problem: both sandals have a darker tan stripe right across the top of the shoes! It looks deliberate, but there is no such stripe in the photos. I assume that whoever was choosing the leather thought they could just get away with it as long as the two shoes matched. I think it looks bad. So I'm sending these back for an exchange for a pair that do not have this defect.

I really love these sandals! The leather is very soft and they are sooo comfortable.

I must have a dozen pair of this style, or Rome, and they last almost forever! I buy one size down from closed-toe sandals.

Love these, so comfortable right out of the box. I purchased the Latte Brown. The leather is so soft and comfortable I can wear them all day with no problem. I require a nice arch support and this fit the bill.

I love NAOT shoes. They fit my feet so well. Please note that if you wear a ladies size 9, get the NAOT size corresponding to size 10 which is 41. Naot runs small so up your size by a full size and order the corresponding Naot size.

I like the lighter colored foot bed as it looks a little more "summery" and light. Wearing with skorts and shorts mostly, not work clothes (then maybe look at the black foot bed). Foot bed is very supportive in the arch - if you're not used to a supportive foot bed, these will feel weird to you, but I'm flatfooted and appreciate the arch in these. Good for those who roll in like me. Girl doesn't want to wear supportive shoes with orthotic insoles all the time!

Got these in tan and black. Wear them ALL the time, even for marathon walking for shopping and sightseeing. I love it that I never think about me feet when I’m wearing these!!

Love, love, love these! Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Doesn't rub or pinch anywhere. Fits my food securely (doesn't feel like it will slip off like many of my other shoes do), but feels relaxed at the same time.

I love these - they are stylish and so comfortable despite my mild arthritis and foot problems. Please note however that they run narrow and so I sized up half a size from a US 9.5 to a 10 (Euro 41) - the 9.5 was too tight across the foot, the 10 is spot on. They look simple and go with everything, dresses and leggings, shorts, shorter skirts. Very happy, even though my orthotics do not fit them, I will order another pair.

These shoes were incredibly comfortable right out of the box. Well made, with beautifully soft leather. But sizing was off for me. I usually wear a 7.5-8. I really needed a 7.5, but this brand doesn't come in 1/2 sizes. So unfortunately I will be returning them.

I have this sandal in the tan leather. I ordered the grey, but it is longer than my older ones. A little too long, so having to return. Otherwise, my old ones are favorites. The level of the foot is perfect and wonderful for long wear. I highly recommend this sandal.

I love this sandal. Am looking for a comfortable sandal for walking in Ireland. But I must return them because the arch is uncomfortably high for me,

I struggle to find comfortable shoes and these have worked out great. I wore them for the first time and they were comfortable all day. The style is going to work well for my needs!

I typically wear a wide width in Naot and Birkenstock. These tend to run a bit narrow BUT the leather is so very soft - a short term wearing will help the leather mold to your size.....footbed is soft and has a good arch....one or two times wearing these they will be one of your favorites.

i have been on a crusade this summer trying to find a sandal that has support, is comfortable and stylist. Finally, I found them! This is the first time I have purchased Naot and it sure won't be the last. I have a kinda wide foot, and need a little arch support. I put them on, and out of the box I knew my hunt was over. I love the soft leather, and the support for my entire foot. I am so happy.

If you think this is a lot for a pair of sandals, there are good reasons people who own these come back and get more. I'm on my third pair now (have the caramel and the grey) and this is the only sandal I wear all summer. Easy to slip on, but they stay put -- cool and comfortable, but they aren't flimsy -- very nice looking, but still sturdy and durable. I especially like that they are a little bit off the ground so debris doesn't get into them easily, but if it does, the removable foot bed makes it simple to knock it out. If I were of a mind, I could nearly refurbish my oldest pair with a little tan shoe polish. Naot, never stop making these!

I have had a pair of black Naot's in the same style (Rome) since the late 1990's, when my kids were all in college, and they are still in excellent condition. Every once in a while I simply replace the footpad, and they are just like new. I was delighted to find a similar pair in grey. What a great way to go into summer!
