Only wide size clay court shoes I could find. 2E was too narrow. 4E plus 1/2 size fit. I wish the shoes were lighter and more airy for Florida.

The New Balance 786 grey/yellow is a good tennis shoe. These shoes fit very well, perfectly hugging my foot. No slipping or sliding around. Nice stability and comfort. The tongue stays in place too!

Good Fit for 2E. New Balance is one of the few makers that offer wide foot shoes that I could find. However, arch support and cushion in sole are moderate. I would recommend getting a larger size and insert an after market insole.

I wore these shoes for a few days at work before playing in them to break them in. but once on the court they felt great! very stable and have good support for the ankles. the only issue i see with these shoes is the non rubber portion of the out sole may erode quickly. wish more styles came in 4E width

Had a problem with my New Balance shoe (#806) smelling like cat urine after each time worn. Received a $75 coupon towards a different shoe which I purchased (#786). So far they don't smell on cat urine after wearing but they are not as comfortable or fit as well as the other shoes.

For a size 4E, the shoes fit snug around the toes. Need a wider toe box.

I have been wearing 11.5 4E New Balance court shoes for 10 years. This is the first pair of them which have caused toe problems when I add the good NB insoles. I'm not happy with them.

I have never had a situation with an athletic shoe in which the regular D width was too narrow -- until I bought this sneaker. I returned it. Speaking to some of the reviews that mention poor manufacturing, I tried on the same sneaker in a different color scheme from a different vendor and it fit fine. So I bought that one.

I am a big fan of New Balance, but this particular style did not work for me. I felt as if I kept sliding forward in the shoe. As a result, my toes were often smashed into the tip. The width seemed correct, but the shoe was almost too "long" for me.

Seems like a nice tennis shoe, good suppport, nice design, but so narrow I had to return.
I have had a bunch of NB sneakers, and a 12-D always fits perfectly. Not this time. Super narrow and tight.

I've been a loyal NB customer for over 30 years (both tennis and running). Love all NB products...until now. The 786 is the first NB shoe I've ever owned that didn't fit properly. At my name to the 75% who have said the shoe runs small and narrow.

Smaller and narrower than expected. Good arch support, but overall not comfortable for me.

I think this one runs small, we had my son's feet measured and were told an 11 would work. Sending back for a 12.

been wearing NB for decades. sizes were always the same model to model, until now. these shoes are shorter and narrower than the old 786 or 656 or 655.
be careful.

Although the tennis shoes basically fit, usually when I play wear one size larger than my shoe size. With this model it may require two sizes larger as my big toes jam against the front when I run and stop quickly causing me some pain.

Not a bad shoe, I would not think of this as wide though. It was plenty snug on me. There is not much breathability in the design.

I've been wearing New Balance tennis shoes for over 20 years now. I play on clay 5-6 times a week and these shoes have performed very well on this surface. I replaced the insoles with a custom pair that provides a higher arch. Other than a low arch, no complaints. Outsole lasts forever on the clay.

I need a very wide shoe. 4E's normally fit. I could not get this shoe on for anything. Please come up with a shoe for folks with fat feet. Need more room in the toe box.

Wow, I'm so incredibly disappointed in this shoe! I could barely squeeze my foot into it. Overall this shoe is shorter, narrower and shallower than described. I have a high arch and the top of my foot was being squashed. The shoe was also incredibly narrow. I am a female and typically wear men's regular width athletic shoes and this shoe looked cheap and was completely unwearable in terms of everything you judge a shoe on. I specifically bought these shoes for pickleball. Its back to the drawing board trying to find a pair of shoe that fits!

I have a super wide foot, and struggle to find shoes that fit. This 4E is not true to size - If you need real estate for your flippers, this is not your shoe. I now have the NB MC806, and it is true to size.
Nice looking shoe, if it fit you.

I've always been a size 9 4E but found this shoe very uncomfortable and had to return it. It felt very narrow for a 4E. Probably due to the forefoot overlays. Local stores do not have this style so I couldn't go try it on in other sizes. The web-site is out of stock in the more interesting colors and not sure I want to have to order and return several more sizes to try to find a good fit. Overall, very disappointed as it sounded and looks great and otherwise seemed to be up to the usual NB good quality.
