I've heard about these about a year ago but finally found my size in a local shop and got a pair in June this year or so. From day 1, I fell in love because of how comfortably it fits, and I couldn't go back to my other shoes. I've never had blisters with these and they really fit like socks - no rubbing, no pressure points.. it's just perfect fit. Maybe it just fits well for my feet shape. Since then I've worn these shoes pretty much everyday for almost everything other than rock climbing (for grades I need rock shoes for) and alpinism. I used them for approaches to climbing routes and walked in them for longer than 2 hours and they were fine. Scrambly terrains were perfect for these shoes thanks to the grippy soles. I could also rock climb easy grades with these thanks to again the soles and also the stiff sole on the toe. They were amazing on multipitch routes where I can squeeze them in my small backpack up the route and I had the luxury of wearing them on descent.

I love that these shoes are sized by foot measurement. I normally wear a size 10 but according to the foot measurement chart, It told me to order a 9.5. I did and they fit great! So happy with this purchase. The fit is great and the sleek style is awesome. I was looking for a more flexible hiking shoe where I could still feel the ground. These are perfect!

I love these shoes more than any shoe i have ever owned. I bought a pair for casual wear because I loved the look of them...I now own 4 pair! I wear them to work most days (standing on hard cement floors) and my feet never feel tired or sore. I do light hikes in them, have bouldered at Joshua Tree national park in them (they are SO grippy). Even though they are not waterproof, they are highly water and stain resistant (mud wipes right off). I love wearing them when I travel, as they are so easy to slide on and off in airport security. I seriously can't say enough good things about these shoes. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me well, because I have narrow feet (and an especially narrow heel)--these fit me perfectly, never any rubbing or blisters. They hold up well (the tread on the first pair I bought is still as good as my newest pair over a year and a half later).

Perfect shoe for many activities. I use mine daily for school run and following spinal fusion find them the most comfortable shoes EVER! I love the outdoors so also great for mountain walks in the French Alps and Scottish mountains. Cannot recommend them enough. I have received so many complimentary comments when wearing them. I have the pale grey and pink shoes. Very tempted to buy another pair.

I was looking for an all purpose, wear everywhere shoe. And I love everything Acteryx. This shoe walks 3 miles to/from work, walks 3 miles to various work meetings/lunch, runs errands on weekends, takes the pups on easy/medium difficult trail hikes, and sightsees in foreign cities. They're wonderfully grippy in the rain. They're great for traveling because you can wear them for everything except a dressy dinner. I did get blisters the first time I wore them (but I always get blisters) but they broke in super fast. They are lightweight and no socks necessary. It's everything an all purpose, wear everywhere shoe should be.

Amazing buy ~ Perfect for my everyday use!! Yes, true to size!! It definitely fits perfect for me but please note that I wear regular/thin socks. It may be different if you wear padded/thicker socks. I'm looking forward to take it with me to the other side of the globe walking thru trade shows this April!! Thanks Arc'teryx!! ^_^

These shoes are super edgy and futuristic looking. At first I was skeptical of the hook and loop, one handed closure but now I'm obsessed. These fit into my footwear quiver for crag days or multi pitch outings with approaches less than two miles. I sized them a half size small and have climbed 5.8 in them comfortably as such.

These are great multipurpose shoes. The soles have outstanding grip on approaches. I use them on easy bouldering routes. They work well for around town and biking too. I haven't had a problem with the buckle or the strap coming loose. The forefoot in the shoes does crease when I walk but I found it's right where it should for me. I needed to replace the insole with a thicker one as the shoe volume seems to be greater than my Acrux Fl's.

I am an engineer and travel a lot for biz purpose and this is a perfect shoes for me, especially when you need work around from country to country, city to city. I particularly love the idea of 'collapsible heel' that makes you be able to free your feet during the air transportation or need to change the suits when getting inside the cleanroom. One thing I would like to address is, when I use the 'collapsible heel' heavily, it seems like there is a de-lamination between the heel portion: there is some glue/adhesive between the heel and bottom layer but looks like the adhesive is broken due to you are bending the heel so much. I am not seeing issue now (only 2 weeks now) but wonder if it will damage the shoes structure eventually.

Really impressed with this shoe...so far, very smart around town. Further out and about its light weight, comfortable and my feet do not over heat. Great product. My only wish is that more women's clothing came in the same color range as menswear - so Patagonia, thank you for trying to make a good range of colors choices that are not boring old blue, cerise pink or purple! Will need to save up to buy more!

I avoided the whole approach shoe thing for a while. It seemed like a specialized piece of footwear was unnecessary when a nice trail shoe was perfectly adequate. I found myself bringing sandals and a pair of trail runners when sport climbing however so I could switch quickly into something for belaying. When I saw these with the collapsible heel I thought they'd bee a nice option (I also wanted to support Arcteryx for advertising in the new Ontario guidebook and supporting the community.) Anyway, these things are super comfortable and breathable. You get a good feel for the ground. I prefer a minimalist shoe, and the sole is just stiff enough to make walking on talus comfortable. Very very grippy. Being able to use it as a shoe or a slipper is fantastic. I haven't had the issue of the buckle coming loose that others have reported.

These shoes are great for just everyday walking around. They are stylish enough to wear with different styles. They are versitile, the heel folds down comfortably and transforms this shoe into a really nice slip on. Plus if I used them for what they were intendid for I would be even more impressed that they can climb too. Easy to keep clean and looking brand new because of the material they are made from. Overall I am now addicted to arctyryx shoes!!! Plus I got free swag in the box when I ordered online!!! Super plus in my books! Thanks!

For cragging, I never really did the approach shoe thing. I hated the idea of moving my foot from my hot, tight climbing shoes to another hot shoe in between climbs (let alone the hassle of having to tie and untie laces). I would always default to sandals instead which weren't without their own short comings: having to shove my more-or-less naked foot into cracks on the scrambling approach, having to fish out rocks that would always make it between the sandal and my foot, and always completing the day with really dirty, dusty feet! As soon as I saw the concept of this shoe I knew my cragging footwear problem was solved. I got my hands on an early proto pair and was thoroughly impressed using them this past summer! They wear nicely as a shoe and have good dexterity for light climbing/scrambling approaches, were easy to slip on and off like a clog in between climbs, and lightweight for clipping to the back of my harness to use for walking off multipitches in comfort! I also found that I never really put them away in the summer months - they always lived by my front door ready to slide on whenever I needed!
