Returned my first pair because the mesh on the sides of the shoes was pulling apart from the toe area after less than three months of use. Now the replacement pair is exhibiting the same structural failure after lesss than two months. Either I'm wearing these things wrong—too loose, too tight, wrong size?—or there is a flaw in the design. For the premium price I would expect these not to fall apart so quickly.

Great running shoe if you're running in the city or on clean pavement. I live in the country and do a lot of long distance trail running and running on rural roads. My half mile long driveway is gravel, all the road shoulders are gravel and a lot of the trails I run are gravel. I have to consistently stop running to pull out rocks that get stuck in the bottom of my shoes.

Probably the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned but seriously lacking quality. I’ve read a few reviews that have had similar issues. Again, very comfortable shoe but for the price you’d think the material would be a little better. Still gets 4-stars though!

I absolutely loved these shoes. They were one of the most comfortable shoe I've ever had, and were the first shoe I've not had to wear orthodics in for years. Unfortunately, they are not sturdy and broke down almost completely within 3 months of light/moderate use. They have ripped at the forefoot as others have mentioned, as well as had splits along then cuff (?) of the shoe. Additionally at this point the support has gone and I can no longer run in them. Thanks to Zappos wonderful support I returned my first pair due to this, and the now the second has had the same issue 3 months in. For the price, i'm disappointed they didn't last longer and I cannot rationalize spending this kind of money on a 3 month shoe, even if they are/were crazy comfortable.

Aesthetics: It's hard to find a running shoe that's predominantly gray / black, doesn't look like a toy, and also doesn't look like a custodial orthotic. It seems like there's an unwritten rule in the athletic shoe world: "It's impossible to make an all-black athletic shoe that doesn't look like it's part of a work uniform."
Ergonomics: This is what On Running does. It's the only shoe I've ever had that really helps me to run with no or low pain. I've dealt with knee issues, sciatica and low back pain as a result of being desk bound my whole adult life. This shoe helps me to get out and go further.
Durability: Exactly as expected. I bought these in March 2018. My feet tend to wear on most shoes in the same area - just before my small toe begins. This pair did the same, and began to tear the mesh near that area on both sides about on year from purchase. The thing is, On shoes are designed to trade a bit of durability in order to achieve the cushioning and articulation they are famous for. It's one of those things where you can't have all three - at any price. Limitations of present day materials have their effect even on the best of designs.
I'll buy these again if I don't find a more interesting design from On. I've tried a lot of shoes for walking / hiking / running over the years and these are the best in every department. All things considered, the price is totally worth it.

I really like the look of the On brand and wanted to like the shoe but I was disappointed by the lack of support and cushion. In tests jogging they did not provide the bounce as I found in other similar stability shoes.

These shoes are awesome and really comfortable, but they are not very durable. These are my weekend shoes I use for errands and kids stuff. I am extremely gentle (no workouts, sports, etc) and yet they are starting to rip. My 2 other pairs of on cloud (original OC & OC 2.0) shoes that I work out in are fine with zero signs of unusual wear. I'm disappointed with these Cloudflyers given how expensive they are, I would have thought they would have lasted longer.

Shoes are 6 months old and falling apart. I exercise and walk/jog in them. They are not as comfortable as Nike Structure shoes I have owned in past.

I love these shoes! This is the 4th pair I've owned and glad I found them. I originally bought them for work because I'm on my feet all day but now I also wear them for fun and around town, especially when I know I will be walking a lot. I am not a runner but I do walk and these ON shoes are super comfortable. I definitely recommend them!

I run five miles a day and these shoes felt different as in not spongy or any gel feature like some ASICS I have. Shoes are super light rubber felt hard/stiff and I thought these shoes would make my knees/ankles hurt after running in them but it was the exact opposite. These shoes are great for running because the rubber is stiff/hard to help absorb the impact instead of your knees getting the beating. Already bought 3 other pairs of On’s..

Great fit and comfortable all around and for the long run. Lace material helps them stay snug and tied. One of my go-to pairs for running, walking or jogging.
The added bonus, unlike some other running specific shoes I own, is that I'm able to do elliptical and related workouts with them.
Not all, though several, running shoes I own tend to put more stress on calves etc., when training in a manner other than their intended purpose, running and these do not.

I have had these for about 3 weeks. Great support and I love the additional cushion when running. They also look great and I get a lot of questions about what type of shoes they are from those not familiar with On.

I have several on model shoes, the ON flyer works best for me. This the second pair, the first pair lasted about 4 months and the mesh fabric across the toe box has worn thru by the pinkie toe on both shoes? Use them for HIT workouts so cant say what caused the worn area in such a short time. If the second pair has the same issue after 4 months will return the pair to ON so On can figure out if the fabric is defective.
Will update.

My only complaint were the sides of the shoe on this model cut into your ankles. They are well cushioned shoes however.

I have no problem with fit or Size they feel as good as other brands but I did have to get a whole size bigger than I normally do from asics. I run mostly 1/2 marathons and I train mostly on dirt roads but the paved roads I run on aren't much different than dirt roads lol Anyway My complaint is that the middle tread of shoe picks up rocks bad. I will test these out on pavement but expect the same thing, I probably wont but another pair. I wish I could exchange them but I have worn them a week.

I have the same size same model with different color Rust/Stone. It is so comfortable so that I ordered another one. To my surprise, this Grey/Lime model is larger than the Rust/Stone model with the same size. These are looser, taller, and side walls hit my ankles. I lost confidence to On's quality control and will return them.

Wonderful shoe. This is my fourth pair. I have flat feet with a history of plantar fasciitis. My feet also tend to get hot in shoes. I can comfortably wear these shoes all day.

Great sneaker and fit true to size. Very comfortable right out of the box. Looks great and is very light. It is expensive, and for the price, it had better be all of the above!
