I bought the stowe pants first in 2018. And a lot has changed since then. The 2020 pants are nice. But to be honest the pockets are really small. You can't fit an iphone or wallet for example in the upper pockets of the stowe pants. Whereas in the 2018 version, the pockets were very accommodating.

The Stowe pants are a versitile pant that can climb and hike but also be functional for casual wear. I love the fit for a tall athletic build. The leg pockets fit a large smartphone and don't get in the way while wearing a harness. These are my goto pants when I don't know what the weekend holds for me. Only grip is that the snaps on the rear pockets ripped off within a week of simply trying to use them.

Bought them for my last trip to Asia (40 days backpacking). They performed fantastic. Please of room to storage passport, wallet, phone etc and very comfortable. I didn't wash them in the whole trip and they are still on my bag collecting mold (not proud of this), but I am a little afraid to wash them. The fabric is so thin that it seems they will disintegrate after the first wash...we will see. Hopefully Arc'teryx will stand behind their products if this happens.

Great for hiking and rock climbing in. I have my full range of motion and can high step or deep squat easily in these and the material feels good and durable. Deep front pockets keep items from falling out while wide enough for easy access. The down side in my mind is that while the legs are fitted, the waist is quite loose; a belt is a must. The cargo pockets are fairly small and to the front. They may be good for papers or ID but I doubt I will end up using them.

First off, these pants fit like a dream. The colour is awesome, the cargo pockets are useful, they look great on and the gusset in the crotch makes them perfect for movement. My only gripe is that as soon as I put them on and pulled open the back pockets, the teeth that held the snaps together came apart and then the teeth ended up breaking off, making the snap pockets now just flap pockets

I'm pretty sure I have an older model of these pants, but I have not had any issues with them so far. The fit is very comfortable and they are very lightweight, which I love. Like with all of my other Arcteryx clothing, they dry very quickly, which comes in handy when hang-drying and is very appreciable during hiking trips. I also appreciate the fact that all the front pockets are very voluminous, even the zipper pockets. I only wish the back ones were a little deeper. When I wear the pants as casual wear, my wallet always feels a little bulkier in the back pockets. Fortunately, the pocket flaps do their job. Other than that minor issue, there really isn't anything else wrong with the pants. I guess if I had to nitpick, I would say that the contrasting zipper color of the thigh pockets could be done away with, but it's not that big of a deal. I recommend these to anyone looking for a versatile-use pant.

First let me say these are my favorite arc'teryx pants i've ever tried on. My issue has always being in-between sizes in arc'teryx. i'm a 31" waist and 32's were alway to large and the 30's to small. Once I saw the trim fit I had to to give them a try. Went with the 32 first and the waist was too large. On a gamble I thought I'd give the 30's a try. Behold!! Perfect! Just what I was looking for. Wore them traveling this summer, super comfortable. My issue arose after a few washings. The fabric, like new. Color, same. Waist and fit almost flawless. See i started to notice I had lost about an inch of inseam. Now they are a little too short. From my measurements they are at about 31.5". Not a big deal but enough that I probably won't wear them. Again,I love these pants so maybe i'll go with the 32 just for the longer inseam.

Took these out for a bike ride on what was supposed to be a day with light drizzle...ended up being steady rain with multiple full-on splashes from cars driving by/through puddles, etc...these pants held up remarkably well. Even though they weren't made to be a hard-wearing cycling pant, I was impressed with how dry they kept me even after 2 hours of wet weather riding. Great job Arc'teryx, definitely made for life in Van City!

I bought these pants for light hiking and wore them not knowing they were designed more as travel/around town pants. That being said, I spent three days camping in them and hiked 13 miles. They held up great and dry quickly. They are great around camp or for just day to day wear. I wouldn't take rock climbing or hard core hiking, but they are solid pants. They are great for hiking easy trails and super light weight. It's very hot and humid where I hike and these breath well. I am 6.0 ft, 180 lb. and generally wear a 33, but the 32 fits perfectly.

As I said in the summary they key words are "general use". Its great for around town or a stroll in a local park. These pants tear easily if misused. They are not meant for rough hiking or any situation that involves wear and tear. I love them though because they are extremely light, comfy, and wick away sweat easily.

I have six pairs of Stowe pants. They are lightweight (9oz) and great for warm weather travel. The two zippered thigh pockets are great for phone and wallet that need to be secured but still accessible while sitting. These pants can work for almost any activity. So, why only three stars? -The 2019 and before model had a button at the top of the fly. Very secure. -The new 2020 model has a Snap that is NOT secure at all, resulting in wardrobe malfunctions. It is a design flaw. This is a complete deal breaker for me. -The 2020 model has mesh lined pockets, instead of smooth material, that things like car keys and other items will get caught on and snag. This is annoying and frustrating at times -The 2020 model sits a bit more than a half inch higher on the waist than the 2019 model. This is a small deal, but I prefer a below the waist fit. I'm hoping Arcteryx will revert to selling a Stowe pant with 2019 model features again in 2021.

Granted, this pair of pants is not really intended for hardcore outdoor use, but even still I ripped 2 pairs of these paints just doing everyday tasks. The fit was fine, but the material just seems to stick to you if its hot out and causes too much tension on fabric resulting in rips. This is a good pair of pants for lounging around or traveling because it is so lightweight and comfortable, but I would definitely look at other pairs of pants if you want something for outdoor use.

First pair of pants from arcteryx after being a long time supporter of the jackets. I never thought of buying their pants but thought I'd give it a shot with the stowe pants I like the relaxed fit of them. It gives me room to move without being uncomfortable and the fabric really stretches. The zipper pockets really come in handy for smaller things that I don't need quick access to The first issue I have is the colour fading. After about 2 washes, the black has turned grey and looks very faded, especially along the seams. I wash all my black clothes together and many of my other black items don't fade this fast. The second issue I have is the size of the upper front pockets. The pocket is very deep but also narrow which makes it really awkward when putting items in. My phone falls way down to mid thigh when in there and it's a reach just to get it out. Luckily I have smaller hands but I can't imagine someone with bigger hands trying to reach for something at the bottom

Great fitting and looking pants. I love the extruded knees, as it makes for easy bending while hiking. I just feel that these pants are delicate. Color fading and material tearing happened quickly for me.

I want to love these pants. I own three(3) pairs. Black and 2x in Owami (1 for work + 1 for home). I work exclusively outdoors in a fast paced environment where I require pants to be durable, light, flexible/stretch, have access to pockets and have a professional appearance. These pants check all of the boxes for me EXCEPT the crotch/saddle is so, so absurdly small. The zipper/fly is even shorter than any pants I have ever owned. I don't want big, baggy pants which these are not. The pant length works fine as does the waist. The saddle is almost become the difference between wearing or never wearing these pants. As most people can agree, you need space/room in the saddle. I hope this review helps the designers to create more space in this area in the future. This would otherwise be a 5 Star product review. Cheers, to the outdoor community.
