These are so cute and very comfortable, but are unfortunately going back because the strap over the foot is not adjustable and is too big causing my foot to slip around. I have a very slim foot so that is most of the problem. It would be nice to be able to adjust that strap though.

These would have been perfectly OK basic all-purpose sandals but the sizing did not work for me. I am normally a true 8 but the 8 was too big and floppy and the 7 was too tight. If you are able to order a half size down from your normal size you might be in luck. The other thing about them I found slightly problematic is they have no lift whatsoever in the heel; I don't need an actual heel but when the arch of the sandal is actually higher than the back of the heel I feel the look is less flattering and they feel a little like you are sinking backwards. I had some similar Born sandals that were much more attractive and comfortable but tragically that style is discontinued.

I wear a 6.5 and bought the 6 -- it was too small. I wanted to keep them as I liked them so much, but needed to send them back. The 7 was unfortunately not available :(

I love everything about this shoe except the arch support, which runs across the entire width of the shoe. I don't have high arches and found it uncomfortable.

Well, was looking for a sandal that had a good rubber sole but not too trail-looking for semi-casual summer wear. Pros: leather is nice, color is nice (got red in these and the blue in the Around Town Slide). Like the cork as it looks nice and I am hoping won't become discolored with wear and will be easy to clean. I have an old pair of Merrell Palmetto slides with a suede bed that even after using straight bleach and a toothbrush can't get clean. Looks like I've been living in the woods and can't wear in public anymore. The leather still looks great but under my feet looks a bit gross. So that's why I was intrigues by the cork. They fit a little loose but I'm not looking to hike in them. As I'm not used to half sizes I don't think they are that off but just roomy. ONLY REAL ISSUE FOR ME: the heal could be thicker. It feels like I'm wearing earth shoes meaning I feel like I'm standing on an incline...the heals are a bit lower than the front and I find it a little disorienting. The first time I wore them I almost felt drunk and found myself trying to lean forward. I think the Palmetto's had a better arch, these feel a little small but perhaps the cork is not as soft. With size 11 feet I can't just run anywhere and try stuff on so I will keep these but am disappointed.

These sandals are comfortable walking shoes and chic enough for the city streets. I like the two toned matte leather straps and the light weight footbed. Good for wider feet, too!

I wear an 8 M typically- occasionally an 8 W. I read a review so ordered these in a wide width but they were still significantly too small, even with the adjustable strap.

I've owned the black pair for 1 1/2 years now. They hold up really well, but the ONLY reason I gave them less than 5 stars is because they stink. These are the ONLY pair of shoes I own (tennis shoes & other sandals included) that stink. I have to literally scrub the footbed with baking soda - using a toothbrush - about every 2-3 weeks. The cork looking area turns a dark brown/black color after you wear them a while, but the baking soda takes this off - yuk! I've read elsewhere that they aren't actually cork - I just wish they were made of something that didn't make your feet stink! Cleaning them doesn't take long, but it is a hassle. If I didn't love the comfort and look of the shoes, I wouldn't even bother. I guess I should be glad that I can scrub them clean - at least they are still usable... and durable! Even though I have the foot stink problem, I am seriously considering buying the brown ones (I really like the fit and style that much... maybe I'm crazy). I bought the black pair locally, but they no longer carry them, so I'll be getting them from Zappos if I end up getting them. Still thinking about it.

Very Comfortable but not the best wearing Merrill. I've worn Merrell's for years, great comfort and support and last forever. Barely 2 months old and heel is completely worn down, leather very stretched out. Have other sport sandals that are awesome!

I wanted to like these sandals - they might have worked, but the back strap was way too loose.

The bands on this sandal are really wide, and if you have a small foot all you see is shoe. They are light weight and well made but not really stylish. They are not adjustable except at the buckle, and at the end of the day when your foot swells they are too tight. Just not for me.

The leather is beautiful, but the fit is huge! length is fine, but they are very wide overall and the back strap would need another hole to tighten up to the back of the heel. Not impressed with these Merrells. Theyre going back.

I've been wearing Merrell shoes for years and really wanted to have a good black sandal with backstrap but this shoe actually HURT my arch :( The top straps aren't adjustable and were too lose. I'm really disappointed and will be sending the "Around Town" back. Please Merrell, try harder for next summer!

I tried these on; they are comfortable, though I wasn't completely happy with their styling. For one thing, they were a little clunky for my taste. More importantly, the buckle is only a half buckle, so the straps are not as secure as one might wish.

I’m really disappointed because I love the shoe but it is not well made. I wore them for two hours and afterwards they were so badly scuffed in the toe and heel that I sent them back. I did nothing other than walk around at a picnic. Surprising for Merrell.

Disappointed ! looking cheap and low quality ...

Normally I am a big fan of Merrell. I have Merrell hiking boots, walking shoes, sandals. So I was excited to get these new Merrelll sandals. I wore them around the house and they were very comfortable. Unfortunately when I wore them to do some errands around town, I had to come home early as my feet were killing me. I had blisters on the bottom of both feet (how is that possible?) and a blister on the side of my feet. So bummed.
