I am looking for a flip flop to wear as a slipper. I need additional support around the arch. I have a B/C width footprint, but a long low volume foot. The strap around the arch was too big. I could fit three fingers in between the strap and my foot. My foot measures 10.5. I wear 11 or 11.5 (Brooks) with my orthotics. I size down to a 10 in sandals. I ordered a 10 in these. I hope that this info might help someone. Zappos is the best site for buying shoes and getting shoe information from other customers.

I normally wear a size 7 1/2 but this sandal does not have half sizes. Since I have a many years older version of this style Merrell sandal in size 7 that fits perfectly, I ordered a 7. It is too small. I received a size 8 yesterday and it fits just like my old size 7. All's well that ends well.

I gave up flip-flops after a toe trip and stitches a few years ago, but bothersome blisters from all my shoes made it impossible to walk my dog, so I ordered these. The toe "glove" really hold the shoe in place and I feel safe wearing them. I have high arches, so 1/2 size larger might have been better, but I figure the shoe will stretch a bit over time.

I love this brand and buy it regularly. I am a very common, true 7 1/2. I always size up to 8 when shoes only come in whole sizes and they almost always fit. Not with this particular shoe. I ordered the 8 and it felt like a 7. I need to exchange these and size up to the 9.

I had to go down a size because the strap and toe hole was larger than typical sizing. The length was fine though, so if you had wider feet or toes they would fit true to size. They are very comfortable as flip flops go.

Love this sandal, ordered a black pair earlier this summer. The fit is great and I am able to wear them all day without my bunion bothering me. Wanted a pair in a different color, but this brown pair appeared to be a returned pair that had been worn and had spots. So I am returning this order.

I wanted to keep these but I saw them this weekend at Marshalls with a $34 price tag. Ouch! Sorry Zappos but they are coming back to you.

I am keeping them. They are comfortable and that is what I want for a summer sandal. The toe strap is comfortable. I don’t think they are quite as cute as I thought they would be, but that said...the bottom line is I am keeping them and am happy enough. Comfort is my number one criteria and these are!

i like merrell. but i'm not having any luck getting my feet into them without a lot of adjustment. i don't want to fuss with straps and fabric to get into a flip flop; i want to slide in effortlessly. i normally wear an 8.5 but even in a size 9 it was just too much work, and once on they felt tight and couldn't fit get my foot far enough up to reach the toe bed. sorry merrell; not this time.

I normally wear an 8 wide dress shoe and 9 wide athletic sneaker and I bought these last year in the light gray sz 9 and they fit fine. This year, I tried the brown and green and could barely get my foot in.

The sandals are very comfortable. I normally wear between an 8.5 and a 9. The 9 in the sandal is a little large, but I think the 8.5 would be too short. I do not usually wear sandals with thongs, but this pair is comfortable.

Recently I bought Merrill sandals and Clarke flip flops at the same time . I like Clarke sandals better because they felt good in the foot and has very good support in arches. Merrill has more traction than Clarke and less likely to slip.

I prefer the Merrell sandals with a back strap. But both of the sandals I have previously purchased for the last several years and wore until they became my "going out in the yard only" shoes and then were still holding out....have become too wide for my skinny ankles. It was simply not possible to tighten the sandals to accommodate my feet and I had to return both of them. So I bought these as I have another pair in a different color. But I would prefer a well fitting pair of Merrells that can accommodate a more narrow foot as they used to do. Sandals with a back strap give more support.

I wear an 11w and thought these might work but just weren't wide enough, plus could have used 1/2 size longer. Had to send them back. Merrill please offer wide options.

Insole is squishy. I've had many other similar Merrell & Columbia sandals like these. I prefer the insoles which seem more suede-like, as my feet don't slip around as much as when they are a waterproof material. These have that type of insole, but there is more cushion? in the insole, so my feet feel like I'm on a memory foam type material. That sensation makes them feel less secure on my feet. I have bad feet and worsening knees. The change is bothering me. The overall support of the shoe and the way the top part of the shoe holds my foot in snugly against the footbed are still great features. I just am not a fan of the extra cushioning? in the insole.

I really liked that it provides more coverage and support than flip flops, and it covers my bunions. But my pinky stuck out of the footbed. I tried a size larger and still the pinky poked out, so I had to return them.

I was disapointed with the material strap that comes across the foot. Previous shoes like these had a braided strip across which I like much better. I will look again!!!!

These sandals are comfortable and a bit different than a regular flip flop. I am sensitive to a piece between my toes, but these sandals do not bother me. They have moderate arch support and hide my bunions. I would recommend them.

Beware the synthetic footbeds if you like dry feet. Shoe design is great but synthetic footbed material not only makes feet sweat, whether indoors or out, but also causes feet to slide while walking. Slippery and sweaty: bad for feet by any measure. Shoe's overall synthetic material also makes price too high.

These Merrell's have a very nice soft bed, cute colors, much more arch support than most flip flops, but still not as much as Vionics. My family loves Zappos!!!

I was unable to get this shoe halfway on my foot. I prefer to buy a wide width in most shoes because I have a very high instep. Yet I can usually wear most any shoe & get them on my feet at least. His shoe seemed to be a narrow in width & I must return them unfortunately. I own another pair of Merell sandals with Velcro straps & I love them. They look like the sole is too thin until you wear them. The best way to describe it is that they feel like a part of your foot & hug your feet, mold to your feet & that makes them very comfortable. Mine are all terrain & I imagine they are great for trail hiking.
