Unfortunately, the toe loop felt very loose and made my foot unstable. Not the style for me.

The quality of Merrell sandals has declined a great deal. It used to be that you couldn't find a sandal that came close to their quality, now their materials and design quality are awful. This sandal is cute, but was so flimsy and cheaply made. It doesn't even begin to come near the quality of the pair I've worn every summer for many years. I don't know what happened. I've been trying to replace that pair for two years, but their quality just keeps getting worse.

These sandals were very pretty, but the ribbon-like thong was uncomfortable. I am used to wearing thong sandals, but these were particularly uncomfortable. After only moderate wear, one of the straps broke. Not durable or comfortable. Not my usual Merrell experience.

Loved how it looked on my foot unfortunately there was way too much room around the toe and no way to adjust it. I had to send them back.

First off, I love the style of these shoes. I have several other MERRELLS that I absoulutely love for their comfort.
I bought these to do a lot of walking in and still have my feet cool during the hot weather. I typically buy KEENES for lots of walking but they make my feet hot so decided to switch it up.
I wrote another review when I first bought these MERRELLS 3 weeks ago stating how much I like them except for the fact that they were a bit irritating across the inside/top of both feet where the top strap crosses over the ankle bone area. I was thinking this problem would go away once my feet got used to the shoes but it's been 3 full weeks now and the problem has only gotten worse. I'm constantly having to switch out bandaids to keep my feet from bleeding and it's gotten to the point now where the pain they cause is negating any other positive aspects.
I'm now wanting to return them but since I've worn them for 3 weeks now I'm sure it's not possible. --- So, just a heads up to those of you who are thinking about purchasing these to walk a lot in. I'd steer clear!
I'd also recommend:

I wanted to love these but I physically couldn't wear them. The ankle strap was far too long. So long that the Velcro didn't line up and I couldn't even keep them on my feet.

The strap rubs on my bunions. I have worn Merrell Gardinas for years and I'm looking for a replacement that doesn't hurt my bunions. I suffer from Gout and the Gardinas are perfect but I'd like them also with a heel strap.

Wish I had figured out that this style fits so differently than my others of the same size. They are too loose around the toe and too long. Wish I had purchased a different style.

In 2012 I purchased my first pair and LOVED THEM! My podiatrist recommended them. I have bought two more pairs since and found the quality of the newer sandals to be inferior to the older pair. The insole has degraded, there is very little padding in the welt, and the sole is very flexible. More flexible than the first pair I bought!
I hesitate to purchase future Merrell Terran Convertable II as I have noticed that the toe strap appears to be "ribbon" and not the leather I would expect (and be willing to pay for)!
I tried to send a photo but your site stated there was a problem uploading...

I bought these shoes 2 years ago. Within weeks, the inside surface started tearing. Merrell replaced the shoes, and the same thing happened again. They are comfortable but with the inside shredded, they have to be my "at home only, gardening sandals". Can't wear them in public because they look old and terrible

Shoes ran a little wide. Not as well made as Merrill products I have purchased in the past Merrill doesn’t make the quality shoe they used to.

It's unfortunate that I had to return these as they were really nice and would have been perfect for what I wanted. They just weren't wide enough for me. If I could have exchanged it for the same shoe in a wider width I would have.

I purchased these sandals after owning several pairs of Merrell sandals and loving them. The velcro on these sandals is so short that I could barely fasten the strap and when I did manage to get it fastened it was so tight there's no way that I could possibly wear them for any period of time, they're just going to cut into my feet. I'm very disappointed because I've previously been so happy with Merrell sandals. I looked at my older pairs and the velcro on them is far longer allowing for more adjustment. If this is your new design it stinks.

Very unhappy with this sandal. The straps that hold the sandal on do not have enough Velcro to keep the sandal on without flaps of straps sticking out, which makes them come loose while wearing. Very poor design, I was really loving the look but after first wearing these, do not recommend at all.

These shoes are very comfortable. They have good arch support. I can wear them all day long. Cute too!

I loved the older design of these - bought them about 3 years ago - and they are still kicking (although they are starting to show some age), thus the reason for buying the new ones... however, the new design - the one single strap across the foot leaves your foot flopping too much and too exposed. The toe wraps are hard and very uncomfortable.. The soles felt comfortable but not as supportive as previous style. These are definately going back. So disappointed. This is the 3rd pair of Merrells that have been returned in the last few months - the newer designs just aren't what they used to be and I love my Merrells, which makes it even more disappointing...

Important supports in this super soft cushioned sandal. I have a different version in the Terran line, but they all have same insole supports. For those who need a little support in all the right places, this insole is it. It has some solid metatarsal support beneath that soft top cushioning. It really works, but is almost imperceptible. Important for those of us who put our feet through hell in ballet in our youth. It also has some solid arch support on the outside of the foot, back by the heel (I don't know what that outside arch is called), contributing to the subtle but effective heel cup, and making this an excellent stabilizing shoe for those of us who sprained our ankles in the past and are still paying for it. The regular arch is good and solid too. The key thing about these sandals is the combination of a wonderful cushioning over a solid, but not aggressive support (as I don't have super high arches or anything). The design is pretty much missing from the shoe market - except for some of the excellent Taos lines! What I found in this sandal is real solid support, that's somehow also subtle, covered by a layer of cushioning that makes these good to wear all day long. They're cute and feminine and light and make your feet look good. And they make multiple versions of the Terran, so you have style options. Super grateful for this line. I hope they integrate this insole into some closed toe shoe styles, too. (!)
