I live in hawaii and our hiking shoe selection is pretty sad, considering we have some amazing hiking spots. Things have gotten even worse for the athletic people ever since our main sporting goods chain, Sports Authority went out of business. Anyway glad to have found zappos! I love this shoe. I have wider feet, normally wear a 7 or 7.5, bought both sizes, it is quite roomy in the toe area, so i could've done either size, but went with the 7.5 bc i will use it for hiking and will be wearing thicker socks.I got it in the purple and black, very nice! I also liked the AMAZING 2 day delivery to Hawaii. I was a little sad when I first ordered and noticed that they didn't do expedited shipping to Hawaii, but I ordered my shoes on a tuesday and I got my shoes thursday morning! Also the return process was super easy, free return shipping and they processed it very quickly! Thank you zappos.

Very nice shoe, looks good too. They're a full inch shorter than my old Addidas, same size (tho, those are admittedly comfy, they look like boats!), so I can't figure why they feel so fine. Old ladies wear tennies too, sensible, of course, but I'll enjoy having a pair I can wear with nicer clothes.

Love this shoe! I have hard to fit feet and this shoe fits perfectly, looks nice and is super comfy. I wear a size 8 and it is exactly the right size. They are nicely padded around the ankle for comfort. I can wear my insoles if I want since the footpad is removable. I got the gray color and will probably buy a black pair as well.

I really liked these at first, but it's been a handful of trails and two months, and they're already falling apart. The rubber around the toes is completely pulling away from the rest of the shoes. My last pair of Merrells lasted several years. Service from Zappos is always great, but this purchase was a pretty substantial letdown. :-(

I love these shoes! Merrell is always a good brand for me, and the Siren Edge style is perfect for my feet. Felt great for extended walking right out of the box, and the color (purple/black) and style look very cool for day or night. The toe area is slightly rounded, not enough to look dorky but my toes feel and appreciate the extra room. Excellent, serious walking shoes and cute!

I have 2 pairs of the Merrell Siren Edge. I use one exclusively for my gym workouts and the other is my walk around town shoe. I wanted a more stylish look without sacrificing comfort while traveling and exploring in urban/city areas. I wear a 6.5 shoe and the fit was perfect!

These are my 3rd pair of Merrell walking shoes and I keep buying them because they have good arch support (have had problems with plantar fasciitis), they are lightweight for city walking (the entire freedom trail in Boston with no complaints) and for trail walking as swell, and because they come in a 10 1/2. It's a huge peeve of mine that so many shoemakers quit making half sizes after size 10, so thank you for that!

This shoe is very nice looking and it makes my foot look so small it's crazy. I did not buy this shoe for exercise but for casual wear and it works great for that. If you have a narrow foot this shoe will work for you. I had two surgeries on my left foot and have tried many shoes for comfort and this one is a keeper.

Wow! I bought these for an upcoming trip to the Pacific Northwest where I expect to do a lot of hiking. I wanted to try them out beforehand and so we went hiking at a local state park. These were absolutely fantastic -- great traction (even on wet/slick surfaces), very comfortable, lightweight, and breathable. They exceeded my expectations, and I am so glad I bought them for my trip.

Love that this shoe came in size 10 1/2! It was comfortable from day one and very true to size. The best part is that it doesn't make my foot look huge.

I have wide (but not wide enough for wide width shoes), flat feet. My toes are thick and my right foot is usually a half to a whole size larger than my left. Not only that, my right heel supinates--my right foot gives me fits, so I need a shoe with a generous toe box and good ankle support to especially fit that foot. Fortunately, my left foot is very accommodating. These shoes so far are very comfortable and seem to provide the fit and support I need.

I'm in love! My new Siren Edge hikers are not only gorgeous, but fit like a dream. They're very light, have great arch support and feel really well made. My last hikers were also Merrells, and are finally, after 7 years, showing their age. I'd love to have the new ones in another color - see how the stock market does:-)

I got these for hiking at Zion/Bryce and the shoes were great! Very grippy and comfortable. Also wore them for the Narrows hike (which is mostly in water), and they were pretty good - stable and not slick (I did get a small blister on one heel but it was definitely from hours of hiking in a wet shoe/sock so don't let that deter you).

I ordered 5 shoes to chose from and picked these right away! They are very comfortable and light weight with great arch support and heel cushion. Not a great shoe for long distance hiking with weight on your back, but the perfect shoe for shorter day hikes and around town. Also, not heavy on the foot. They are actually kind of nice looking :) Love them!

It's all true; Siren's a very attractive and comfortable shoe for hiking, biking, strolling---right out of the box. The blue with a little lime green accent is very pretty with a dark wash jean skirt; you can look stylish without looking like a jock in a skirt. I might have to budget for the pinkish color as well.

These are a great pair of kicks! Streamlined and light like your favorite Nikes but much more comfortable, with better traction and fit. Wore out of the box and had minimal discomfort. Perfect by Day 2. Highly recommended Merrell's after trying Nike, Adidas, North Face and Reebok. Worth the price.

I've hiked about 15 miles in these shoes so far and I've enjoyed them for the most part. The only complaint I have against them is the back of it rubs against my ankle and that causes for some discomfort but overall very comfortable, needed no break in time, and they grip very well in muddy trail conditions. Would recommend.
