I purchased these while on vacation in CA, looking for a good trail running shoe. I've purchased Merrells before and have been very happy with them. These appeared to fit well in the store. I was excited because they were light-weight, but after running in them while on vacation, my feet and shins hurt terribly. Not enough cushion and support for hard trail running. I think this style might work well as a walking shoe, or for someone working on their feet all day, but definitely not a running shoe. I will be returning these for another pair of Moab's. They are heavier, but they get the job done.

They look cute, but they smell bad, a very strong chemical smell, probably from the dyes used. They seem cheap, and are not as comfortable as I would expect from the Merrell brand.

I ordered these because they looked a lot like my pair of original Sirens which I literally wore out and had to throw away. The original Sirens fit like a glove, had a sleek profile, and a great contoured insole that was cushy enough to be comfortable and supportive.
I was disappointed to find that the new Siren Edge 1) has a much wider toe box, making them clunky-looking; 2) feels a full half-size larger than marked; 3) has a very cheap look and feel -- thin materials, plastic cut-outs are glued onto the shoe where there used to be suede-like panels SEWED into the shoe; 4) and the worst part is that the insole is thin and hard as a rock, providing no contour or cushion under the ball of the foot. I will be returning these shoes for a refund, as the reason I bought Merrell shoes in the first place was because I have foot problems and am very picky about shoes. I don't know why Merrell had to discontinue such a fabulous shoe as the original Siren. It seems all the new models are crap, in one way or another.

I returned these shoes because there was an uncomfortable ridge that ran under the arch of my foot and they had a very hard foot-bed. Normally Merrell’s are my favorite shoes but this model was a torture chamber.

The toe bed is highly uncomfortable. The insole is 1/8 inch with no cushioning. Every rock is felt thru the shoe as the sole of the shoe is also not protective to the foot.

This is my second pair of these. The fit is good. I do add a memory foam inner sole for more shock absorption.

the sneaker was overly rigid, not flexible and the material was very cheap. Poor ventilation.

I love this shoe and this was the 3rd pair I ordered. Unfortunately, it arrived with the left foot being size 7.5 and the right being 8.5. Had to return.

I've owned a number of Siren Merrell shoes, and a few pairs of Merrell boots, this particular model being the only one I found utterly disappointing. It looks and feels cheap, it wore out much faster than the other Siren shoes I've had in the past, the upper part of the shoe ripped in several places, which never happened to the previous models I owned. It's true that they are light, and this is what I love about Merrell shoes in general, but I'm never buying this particular model again, will go back to the more study ones that are reinforced with leather rather than what seems to be some kind of plastic film in this shoe.

I am disappointed with these shoes. They provide poor arch support. Most of my Merrells have decent support, but not these. I would not recommend. I would return, but I wore them outside.

These shoes were too narrow, even for my narrow feet, and they were medium width. Had to send them back.

After my first hike of about 7 miles the decorative fabric on the sides started to peel off and the shoes had a horrible squeak. I contacted customer support regarding the squeak and with their guidance I was able to fix it by inserting a dryer sheet between the insole and the bottom of the shoe. Two hikes later and more of the decorative fabric has come off and now the shoe is separating from the sole. Really disappointed in this shoe from Merrell.

After one year, the fabric is all riped. The shoe sole is beginnig to tear appart from the fabric. The price of the shoe is very high, compare to the quality. I had for the last years other Merrell shoes and they all last at least 3 years for the same utilisation. I am a guide in a wildlife refuge, so I walk a lot in the forest and it is important for me to have a good and durable shoes. Those shoes broke my confidence on Merrell, I am afraid to buy an other shoes from them and to not be able to use them more than a year.

Like the other critical reviewer, I loved these shoes, but all those fancy details you see on the shoe are rubbishy thin glued-on plastic, which cracked and peeled within a few months. My shoes look as if they have a skin disease. Normally, my sneakers last for a long time. These look like something the cat left behind in just a few months. VERY disappointed in the quality.

I am a woman but I usually buy sports or walking shoes from men or boys because, generally, the shoes are of better quality. Plus, I am pinked-out and silvered-out since most shoes for women look like a unicorn just threw up on them. But I keep trying the Women shoes because you'll never know when the shoe makers decide that the women can play sports too and require the same support and quality as men and that not all of us want want to blind people with our feet sparklees. I'm Normal 6 in Men/Big Kid or Normal 7.5 in Women. I bought the Sirens together with Merrell Kids Trail Chaser (Big Kid). As opposed to the Women's, the Boys' Merrells do not have a high heel, which drives me nuts. The heel, that is. I mean what do you need a high heel in a sports or a walking shoe?! My back was complaining after only 20 minutes of using the Sirens in the kitchen. So the Sirens are going back and the Trail Chasers are here to stay (thank you Zappos for allowing me to try them on before deciding). Also, the Chasers are true to size, whereas the Sirens are a tighter fit, at least when it comes to width. The Sirens have more padding, but they were definitely tighter for me in the shoe box region and the slightly elevated heel was a definite no-no. Back to buying Big Kid and Boys shoes.

Was very surprised at how uncomfortable this shoe was after reading all of the 5 star reviews..I have flat feet but there was no support on the ball of my foot and minimal cushioning on the heel..not comfortable at all- loved the colors and the style ..but went back to Saucony which was $20 cheaper and so comfortable - just not as pretty.

I really loved the look, feel and performance of these shoes, but the quality was terrible! Like a previous reviewer said, they started falling apart within 3 months. I have a few pairs of hiking shoes I cycle through, so I wasn't wearing these shoes everytime I hiked. The way they looked when I threw them out, you'd think otherwise.

I like the fit and feel of these Merrells -
so much so that I bought this second pair right after the first - just a different color. Unfortunately, this pair squeak very loudly as I walk. I am very disappointed and will not be buying another pair.

Bought the Siren Edge in late October to be Wien indoors and less than one month later both shoes show incredible wear. Both shoes have separation from the footbed and shoe. Instep showing fraying. Such a disappointment from any shoe less than a month old but most especially from a Merrell shoe. If this is how the shoe hold up wearing it indoors, I would hate to see how it looks after being on the trails. Furthermore it's tough to agree with the rubber sole technology as slip resistant - at least on concrete warehouse floors - they slip. Regretting my purchase - should have gone with the Siren Edge Q2. Too late now. Such a disappointment!

I am a long-time Merrell customer. I have had this shoe for 6 months and the outside toe portion is pulling away from the rest of the shoe. So disappointed in quality of this shoe, and do not recommend unless you are only interested in wearing for less than a year.
