fit is good. sole is too stiff

I needed a very well-constructed shoe with good arch support for general walking around. It's hard to fit that bill with something that isn't embarrassing to wear in public! But this is working perfectly, very sturdy and comfortable yet nice-looking.

These are super comfortable, right out of the box. They feel flexible and soft, so I don't anticipate any unwanted rubbing against my feet, yet the sole is sturdy. These replaced some old Merrells I bought for overseas traveling back in 2013, and those were uncomfortable against my toes and heel. The Merrell Siren Edge feel drastically more comfortable, and I look forward to hiking in them in Europe this summer. I don't anticipate any hurting feet.

These are super comfortable and work great for working outside. I've also received several compliments on the color and style.

Another fabulous shoe from Merrill. These very comfortable daily use shoes offer great support and cross over to be a great walking hiking shoe. The support is very good and superior quality.

These were my first pair of Merrells, and I love them! Soooo comfortable. Look and feel well made. This is the best athletic shoe I've owned, well worth every dollar spent. At first I had some concerns about the front of the shoe which seems curves slightly upward, but after a few days of wear the shoe seemed to contour to my foot. I like that these are waterproof. Ive spashed through many puddles and wet grass, and feet stay dry every time. Laces don't tangle or knot. Color looks sharp. Great grip and traction. I use these for running and biking (a lot), and they still look sharp. Will be hard to wear these out. I would recommend these, and I would definitely buy these again.

I don't "hike" but I do go on vigorous walks up dirt paths in the hills around my house. I don't need crazy ankle support, but I need more grip than the average sneaker or running/walking shoe. These fit exactly perfect, they aren't too constricting and I love the style/color combo. Can wear with pants or shorts!

I have had problems with my right foot for years. With plantar fasciatis, I found that for me, barefoot is best, so a minimalist shoe is a must and Merrell's fit that bill. I've lost count of the number of Merrell's I own. Then, with my foot problems cleared up, I recently developed Achilles tendonitis. I read the reviews about the Siren Edge and some mentioned that the arch support was too far back toward the heel. Well, with Achilles tendonitis, I needed lift in the heel, so I gave them a try. When I first put them on, my first reaction was, whoa! Why is the arch so far back? But, I walked around inside for less then 5 minutes and realized they were just what I needed. For the first time in 3 weeks, my Achilles tendon isn't painful. I wear 9.5 and that's what I ordered, fits perfectly. This a actually a very pretty shoe, small and not boxy. Love it and will probably order in another color.

These hiking boots are more like running or walking shoes and that is exactly what I was looking for. They are very lightweight and, unlike most running shoes, come in nice understated colors. I am not a big fan of dayglo colored walking shoes.

These Merrell sneakers are great! I am not a big sneaker fan in general, but of all the sneakers I have ever had, these are the best. Lots of arch support and comfortable but firm footbed. They are stylish (for sneakers) and look good with jeans and athletic wear. Comfortable right out of the box.

I love these shoes! They've got the firmness of a good hiking shoe but are still flexible and light. I hike on trails a couple of miles every day and these are perfect.

I have flat feet, with no arch at all, so I have to wear orthotics (Superfeet green) in all my shoes. I was prepared to use Superfeet in these, but there was no need. They have excellent arch support on their own. I can feel the support when I walk in them. I wear 9.5 in most shoes, but a 10 in running shoes (Brooks Dyad). I ordered 9.5 in these, and they fit perfectly.

Great shoe! Sturdy and lightweight. Love the fun Blue color. For me, I always wear a 9, so I ordered a 9.5 based on some other reviews saying they run small, but ended up exchanging it for a 9. Love them!

This shoe is surprisingly super supportive all over with a really firm arch support. I can wear without replacing removable insole with my own orthotics. I originally ordered the Moab 2 but they looked way too puffy on my feet - these actually have a clean slenderizing line. They are a keeper.This is my second pair of Merrells - a great brand for problem feet. I wear them to work where I am on my feet most of the day, and as a walking shoe.

I love these shoes. Super comfortable for all kinds of walking, and not to heavy of a hiker look. I use these for walking from the train station on city streets to walks on the weekend in the woods. Lots of support with great treads, but only a little bit more bulky than sneakers. I was really happy to find a size 10.5 (had not seen this anywhere else), which fits me perfectly.

Just spent the last week wearing these as I explored and hiked around Santa Fe/Taos region. They're lightweight and extremely comfortable. Great price and happy purchase!

I have "difficult" feet to find shoes for but these shoes are very confortable. I ordered them in black and they look attractive. I think that they are reasonably priced for the quality of these shoes.

I"ve been looking for a good walking shoe that felt as good as the Merrell mesh clogs I have, which often aren't feasible for me to wear on walks because I live in rainy, muddy Seattle. I figured Merrell shoes would be a good choice--I bought a bunch of different styles because I've burned myself before with their shoes, buying a couple pairs of the same ones and then finding out they didn't work for my particular foot issues, and the Siren Edge was the only one I kept out of the batch. These are great for a person like me with super high instep/arches, they're very supportive and flexible. I finally had to give up on Saucony, which I'd bought for years, because the walking shoes were way too stiff and frequently made me slip since there wasn't any give, but the running shoes didn't work either. And after a badly healed broken leg walking is often really painful, but it's also one of the few forms of exercise I can do--I just can't seem to find any shoes that work perfectly. These are the closest I've come, honestly: they're flexible and have some give in the heel instead of the rock-hard footbeds of the Sauconys, so they lessen my pain, and they don't dig in at the ankle or heel like my other shoes either. I do have to wear thick socks to keep my feet from moving around a little--they're very generously sized, wide toe box and not constrictive in the ball, but that also means there's a little play for a narrower heel and instep like I have. They haven't completely solved my problems, but I think I might buy another pair. Also, they are really pretty cute for hikers, and the other reviewers are right in that they do really make your feel look smaller. I love the black with my favorite color, purple, and the other colors are nice too.

I just ordered these and I'm already in love! I have an Achilles heel issue and I work outdoors on the weekends. I needed shoes that could provide support, comfort, and traction, and these fit the bill perfectly!

I have always liked Merrells and found them to be a comfortable, reliable brand. Due to increased activity at work and training for a moderately long-distance hike , I've developed foot pain over the past year. I found that wearing my old (gross) Siren Sports with a doctor prescribed orthotic was the only way to reliably relieve my pain. The orthotic with other shoe types (street runners, dress shoes, walkers) just wasn't enough, but professionals can't wear gross trail runners every day. I purchased these Siren Edges in hopes of finding a good alternative to my gross Siren Sports, as my doctor recommended a stiffer shanked shoe. I've had these shoes almost a month now, and I wear them daily to work and leisure activities. They provide the support I need, look professional enough to skate by, and my foot pain is much improved. They are well made, have a bit of heel lift, and good arch support. They are breathable, lightweight, and handle the rigors of my daily job well. I'm very happy with them.

I love this hiking shoe! They are comfortable, fit true to size, stylish, and soles have great grip. I wore them hiking in AZ with no break in.
