This is an update to my review. I loved these in the time worn wash, so I ordered another pair the land and sea wash. They are totally different. The land and sea have much more polyester and less cotton, feel differently, fit different. Sent them back. So disappointing, the time worn wash are perfect and the land and sea are not....I wish jean makers would realize that jeans should be cotton, denim, not polyester...

These are very comfortable, stretch jeans. The have a perfect mid rise not to high or too low, they are light weight so they will be perfect for warmer months. they do how ever run a little big. I'd go a size down. They also are more of a classic straight leg which was perfect for me seeing as I have such big legs but be aware that if your looking for something slimmer than a straight and wider than a skinny these are a bit closer to the straight end.

I usually do not even bother with reviews, but this product calls for one. Let me start by saying these are hardly slim but rather more of a straight leg which works if you have curves and are looking for jeans to balance you out. These are the perfect pair of jeans. I am 5'4", 135 pounds, size 28 with a longer torso / upper half - so I needed something to gently skim my butt and thighs and to create the illusion of a longer length on the bottom (I got the 34" inseam, size 28, in Cast Shadows). I have thrown so much money away over the years on 7 for all mankind, Paige, Hudsons, etc - all of which were not for my body type. I just packed all my over priced jeans away (possibly giving them away) and will just stick to Levi's! These jeans make me look pulled together, thin, effortless, and are crazy sexy - hmmm - almost too sexy. These go from the office (with a blazer) right into dinner with a flowy top and heels. They are comfortable and sexy - you cannot beat that! And for this price, I will be ordering pairs in other colors. I am 40! And a busy mom! I also bought the Levi's 721 High Rise Skinny in Windblown for an edgier look, and let me say they are equally stunning!

These jeans are perfect for me!! I am 65 and slender for my height, 5'8" , 128lbs, but still have an "older" figure. I was tired of "mom" jeans but unsure of how these would fit and to my surprise, they are great. The mid rise is comfortable, snug but not tight, and the thighs and calves are slimming without being "skinny." For all of you older women, give these jeans a try. You will look young and kind of sexy which is not easy in seniorhood!! I ordered a second pair.

I am 5'6" and 122 lbs. 'Ordered size 27 with 32 inseam. I wanted a slender look, but these were too tight around my thighs, and they bunched up just under my "glutes". The waist was comfortable, though, as was the mid-rise (a flattering mid-rise: not too high/low, no sagging in back, no extra material in front; able to sit and bend over without revealing anything). As someone else mentioned, they are not tapered at the ankle, rather they appear more straight-legged. So, in order to get a similar look to that in the photo on Zappos website, one would probably want a longer inseam, otherwise the jeans look less skinny and more "high-waters". I typically wear a 34 inseam, but can sometimes get away with a 32 in skinny jeans - not so in this case. A note on the color: Land and Sea is almost indistinguishable from Cast Shadows. I ordered both - in the same size - and still can't figure out which is which.

Love these jeans and the price here at Zappos! Unfortunately they were just a size too small. Didn't realize how wonderful the customer service here is. I called to let them know my problem and to my surprise the Customer Service Rep is sending me a new pair in my size and a sticker to ship the originals back to Zappos all for free!! Free shipping both ways! By the way I received the original pair so quickly! So nice! I think I'll look around for more deals on Zappo. Has made shopping from home so convenient. I usually do not leave feedback but couldn't help to do so in this case. Just has been a really nice experience!

These jeans are perfect for me I am 5'1" and weigh 110 pounds. I ordered a size 4 inseam 30. I have very thin thighs and have difficulty finding jeans that are slim but not skinny and also the right length. These are very comfortable, soft and feel like real jeans instead of those polyester stretch jeans. Plus they look great. I ordered another pair in a different wash in case they discontinue them. They remind me of the Original Levis of the 70's only better!

These jeans were much "slimmer" than I expected given the pictures and the other reviews. Granted I have larger legs with probably bigger than average calf muscles and thighs. But be aware that if you do not have "skinny" legs, these jeans will fit more like leggings than like standard straight-leg jeans. They are quite tight in the calves for me. They do tend to bunch up a bit in the knee area as well. The material is quite thin - I'm not sure how well they will hold up. Not my favorite jeans, but when I want a slimmer jean this does work for me. FYI I'm 5' 6", 135 lbs and the 28 32 fits me well.

These kept drooping in the trunk giving my butt an unattractive, smooshed down look. I do agree that you should order a size down - or two. My waist is 29½" and hips are 39" and the 29 would definitely stretch and get baggy in no time. The material did feel nice, though.

I bought them in Black. I am 5'9", 170lbs. They fit like a comfortable 2nd skin, much like I anticipate my skin in old age to feel, but tighter. These jeans move with me, but don't bind. I like them so much I bought another pair.

I don't like skinny jeans as I have very prominent calves. 712 slim is the style I've been looking for, for years. My legs look long, and not stranded as in skinny jeans. I love these. One caution: Each color is of different fabric, black ones are the softest cotton-y ones and Land&Sea is the most polyester feeling one. Each looks and feels different but I like them all, I got them in four colors :)

What a fantastic pair of pants when you first put them on. I cannot believe how flattering they make my behind look...and pants don't normally do that, but I now see the advantage of a higher waist line (I'm used to super low rise, these fall right below my belly button). The fabric is pretty stretchy, we'll see how they hold up. I ordered a 28W x 30L and the sticker also reads 6 short. I usually wear a 4 in women's jeans (not teens), squeeze into a 2 in generous brands, but these fit appropriately and aren't too big, so I'm happy with the sizing. I followed the size chart on the Levi's website and would recommend you measure before buying. Overall they are very comfortable and I'm quite happy with the purchase.

I got these in soft black. They have great stretch to them and are very comfortable. Probably could have gone down a size. The rise is perfect, not too low or too high.

I'm 5'8"/170. The Levis 311 Shaping Skinny jeans fit perfectly in the 30W/30L, so I ordered the 712 Slim in the same size. These run smaller, so I'm returning for exchange. Love the fabric and the color!

These jeans fit AMAZING!! I am bottom heavy with a smaller waist so finding jeans are HARD! These had just enough stretch to hug my form but not too much to feel like cheap material. I love the color and will be purchasing more.

Absolutely love these jeans! I hate buying jeans because they never fit right. These are an exact fit. Sizing is very acccurate and cut perfect for a slim built woman.

I ordered the soft black in size 27, and they fit perfectly. For comparison, I wear a 26 in Gap jeans and a size XS, 0, or 2 in women's pants. Note that the inseams listed are inaccurate. I initially ordered a 30 inseam, which measured at 28.5 inches. I returned it for a 32, which measured at 30.5 inches. The jeans are mid-rise and stretchy enough to stay up and be comfortable. I would call them a slim as opposed to a skinny fit. They're snug through the hips and thighs and straight from the knees down.

Love the fit! Because I am bigger in the hips and thighs I have a difficult time finding jeans that fit well. These fit great!
