Outstanding fit, comfort, and stability. The same reasons that I've been recommending New Balance to my patients for years.

My eldest son easily sprains his ankle from old soccer injuries. Then, his tennis coach suggested that I get him a proper tennis shoe. So grateful that he hasn't had a sprain since we got him this shoe. I will buy only New Balance tennis shoes for him from now on.

Finally a tennis shoe that can be used indoors and outdoors. I use the shoe for pickleball and love the cushioning and support despite the lightweight feel

Very comfortable, stable, and light. Easy on my plantar fasciitis. A bit more expensive - but worth it.

I have worn many pairs of this shoe model for tennis over the past few years. The shoes are a mix of comfort and stability. I have a wide foot and use the 4E which fits me well.

Bought Blue and Black for looks, bought the shoe for support and performance, I buy 4E wides. Comfortable and supportive but also good forward fast motion when my dog is walking me, pulling and excited. Looks good with Levi's and shorts. Wear wide range of socks with it, and the Blue is just a good look for me. I can push it for my fitness when trying to play hoops with my late teens. Good grip on the concrete outdoor courts. No inserts, fits well as is.

Replaced my old 1004. This 1006 seems to have a similar fit and comfort. Looks well constructed.

These shoes are actually wide enough for my feet unlike some brands which advertise as wide but are not. Very comfortable as well. Sole warranty is a plus and will be honored by NB. Customer service was excellent.

Up until the 1006, I was only able to buy white/black court shoes (in 4E). Hopefully the future holds more color choices for 4E tennis/court shoes.

I have been playing for over 50 years (OLD guy!). New Balance makes an excellent shoe. This model (1006) is their best model. As most things in life, some models are better than others. While I have strayed to their new inspirations, bells and whistles, technology and fade of the moment.... the 1006, hands down, is their best... comfortable, sizes run true, great arch support... plenty of toe room... AND.. a steal for their price. Oh! You ask my first tennis shoe ... the original c CONVERSE... most of you reading this were around :-)

These shoes are very comfortable and look great on size 14EE feet. I'd definitely recommend them for just every day wearing.

I wear these shoes to play tennis several times a week, singles and doubles. They are long-lasting and comfortable since I can get extra wide for my feet.

Great comfort and mobility on and off the court. The wide option made the fit perfect. Feels like walking on air.

First of all, its a good looking sneaker and well constructed. Its true to size if you purchased NB before. I have been wearing the show for pickleball and it hasn't disappointed. I do have to lace it up from the most posterior lace holes in order to secure my heel in the shoe. That does work. My orthotics fit well in this shoe without taking out the inner arch support that comes with the shoe but that is probably because my feet are slightly on the narrow side. I wish I could buy B width but that rarely occurs with NB (hint NB). On the court the shoe behaves nicely with good support and excellent ability to withstand and enable pivoting and quick side movements. I would like a slightly higher heel but I understand this is the way tennis shoes are constructed. I'd buy the shoe again.

This is the second pair I have purchased. I play Pickleball 5-6 times a week in thses shoes. They provide comfort, support and stability. They also are avaiable in 4E, which is rare. The first pair lasted about 7 months, playing indoors and out.
