Great tennis shoes, lots of support. No need to break them in as they fit right the first time wearing them.

These shoes offer very good side support that should prevent you from turning your ankle while playing pickleball or tennis.

Another great NB fit for my 4E feet. Put them on and it felt perfect and ready for another pickleball game.

I were these to play Pickleball bit outdoors and indoors. They fit great and hold up well. This is my 3rd pair in two years.

Very good support. Not overly heavy compared to other New Balance support tennis shoes.

I play two times a week for 3 hours each on public tennis courts: Hard Concrete, rarely cleaned. The 1006 works well for my tennis game. I like the wide width 2E that New Balance offers.

Once again NB has discontinued a shoe that I have come to like. This time the 896 has gone away (?) and I am trying the 1006. Actually this shoe is a better fit and I think the sole pattern is better that the 896. I use these shoes for pickleball and they each lasted about 9 months. Time will tell with this model.

I have bought in various ocassions the 1006 Tennis shoe. It provides excellent support and is a well designed [overall] shoe for the active tennis player. This is the first time I select the "blue" colored shoe since I have in the past selected the white or black shoe. The blue one looks good and I've had a few positive comments on the tennis courts regarding the shoes [unlike my tennis game].

This is my second pair so that says something. I particularly love the support under my arch. The shoe also hugs your foot without being tight. I only wish it came in more colors.

I've used the shoe for the last two year playing Pickleball. I like the wide width which is what I couldn't get out of other brands. My only negative comment would be the lack of supplier of the blue color in men's size 11 e(extra wide).

Play tennis and pickleball wearing through three pair and this is the fourth. A large shoe company I use to purchase the heal was designed too narrow and I had rolled an ankle. There was a New Balance pair I bought earlier this year that the toe box was too narrow so I returned. This new pair are the same toe box as my earlier purchases.

This shoe is good to go right out of the box, no need to break in. I play tennis 3 - 5 times a week and once I found these shoes I started buying them 2 at a time and rotate them every other match or practice. I add orthodics (Arch Support Plus Insole #IAS5000 - see my other review on the Sport High Impact Insole) to them for a little better support. I need a wide toe box and this shoe comes in very wide sizes. Thinking about buying another couple of pair when they go on sale and putting them on the shelf...... never know when a manufacturer will discontinue a product. Highly recommended!

I have 4E width feet and the New Balance 1006 are the only shoe I can comfortably wear. Also, I play tennis 2 to 3 days a week for 2 hours at a time and the cover/body will last longer than the tread.

Flat, wide soles so that there is no danger of rolling an ankle. Good traction on pavement and asphalt. Well supported upper keeps my feet in place. I have a couple other pairs of NB running and walking shoes, size 12, 2E width, so I got the same size in these shoes. Initially, it seemed like my big toe was hitting the end funny in one shoe, so I tried size 12.5. I was swimming in them, so I kept the size 12. The issue in the toes sorted itself out after playing in them a bit. No rubbing or soreness; they worked out well. I definitely would buy them again.

These are very comfortable and supportive. I'm a little concerned that the uppers seem to be partially plastic but they feel and look good so I am happy

Great grip. Strong lateral support. Uppers are light but strong. And finally ... a new New Balance shoe that fits as they used to fit! I've worn NB for more than 25+ years because they have had good sizing for those with wider feet -- and good performance (I wear 9 E in a quality dress shoe and have always worn 9W in NB shoes.) For the last four years, I have seen their sizing move all over the map. Some shoes are too narrow. Some have an extraordinarily wide toe box. Some are shorter and some are longer. The quality control and specifications management with their overseas suppliers is not consistent. That said, I have six pairs of NB shoes presently (2 golf; 3 cross-training; and 1 court shoe). I have had to go up a size in some. Go to XWide in others. But if I can find a shoe that fits well, I will often buy a couple of pairs. The NB 1006 court shoe is excellent on all counts ... performance and size.
