I have a difficult time buying shoes because of width and arch problems. I use these 623 shoes for tennis and walking. I have ordered many pairs and do well with them. I recommend the leather shoes for durability.

not very pretty but oh-so practical for my rather deformed feet.

Shoe was ordered the first time as a 10 1/2 but it was tight in the toe, so I returned those for a size 11, which fit perfectly. I usually take a 10 1/2 but all manufacturers are slightly different. The shoe could use a little more sole padding and arch support but for the price level I am very happy with them. One other thing the Zappo's customer service lady who helped with the exchange could not have made it any easier, as she made sure I received the discount I was awarded on the second pair even though it was a one time use discount that I had received in the mail. Great help and customer service.

Shoes are great and have lasted me a long time... better part of a year with near daily wear (and one pair of new insoles). The look is great, They do "pop" on some smooth surfaces due to the design of the sole. (A "divot" in the center that pushes out air and creates a light suction cup effect.) Saw that in some other reviews and based on that experience, couldn't give them a '5' for overall, but they are great otherwise.

They are not even close to the other new balance that I wore before

It is hard to find stylish shoes that come in a wide with but the 623 is perfect. It fits great and wears well.

I haven't bought any other brand of sneakers than New Balance for years. Reliably comfortable, well made and they fit true to size. As close to perfect as you can find.

This is a nice basic sneaker. They provide pretty decent arch support and are deceptively comfortable. The surface is easily wiped clean if it gets missed. They run true to size and my husband wears them to work.

This is my third pair of New Balance 623. Recently, I can never find the NB 523 that are in navy blue. Therefore, I have to settle with other colors.

I'd been looking for a shoe post foot surgery that would be both large and wide enough for a swollen foot. After my usual brand wasn't delivering on width, I came across this-- nice, large toe box and very flexible upper. Double width (4EE) is more than enough to accommodate my foot (which is twice it's normal size and will be for a few months). Nice low heal and accommodates inserts well, even with insole left in. Very pleased with these for transition shoes... will definitely consider New Balance for regular sneakers going forward!

I've had the shoes for about a week and so far so good. I bought 1/2 size larger and glad I did. Can't report on durability yet, but the shoes are comfortable and seem to be well made. Good value for the price.

I have had two Pairs of these new balance and there great right out of the box, no break-in time and you can wear them all day everyday i have this weird thing with shoes i could never find a good easy going casual shoe and then i searched zappos, ive been buying sneakers from here since i was 17 and i have never had any problems at all always true to what you order,easy to search and within two days they arrive i will absolutely be a customer for life??

I usually buy New Balance, and I often buy men's shoes because it's difficult to find a basic black shoe in women's athletic. This fits the same as all my other New Balance shoes, and it's a true black on black colored shoe, which looks nice. Could have more padding, but then, I think that of all my athletic shoes. If you are looking for bounce, you'd need to add an insole. Otherwise, this is a comfortable shoe for everyday activities or walking.

Big shoes. They felt larger and wider than marked. I tried on many different pairs of sneakers in the last few days, so I feel confident in my assessment of their size. Worn with jeans they also look big, like basketball shoes. I was looking for something with more of a casual shoe look. However, if you're looking for a classic athletic sneaker look and account for the size differences (not a problem when shopping with Zappos) this seems like an excellent choice.

I have been wearing these shoes for some time now v2 as well as the now current v3. It is a very comfortable shoe to walk, hike, and run. Good support for the arch. I prefer the 623 line than others from NB.

The shoe felt fine, but they quickly wore out. The stitching came undone, and the thin leather began to tear with use.

They squeak when walking on tile floors. Unacceptable!!! Its a shame because otherwise it felt like a nice shoe

Overall, this has been a pretty good shoe. I purchased it back in Feb of this year. It's now October, and the bottom of the shoe is coming apart. 8 months? i don't expect a pair of shoes to last forever, but I really expected a bit more than 8 months.
