These are very nicely made boots, true to size (I wear a US 9 and the 39 was the best size). I will end up returning these only b/c they're more chunky than I really like, but that's a style choice not a reflection of these boots. If you like/are looking for this style, I would definitely recommend you give them a try.

I love these boots, but they are just too wide for my skinny feet. I was hoping that with the laces I would be able to adjust the fit. I’ve also tried a variety of inserts, but none of them keep my feet from sliding forward. So sadly, I am returning them. Thanks, Zappos for making the return process so easy.

Disappointed because they were too big

I always where a size 9 so I went with the 40 as recommended. These run small, my big toe is getting pinched at the tip, to the point it may cause some Problems. I may order the 41 and see how it goes. I love the look of the boot. Just wish someone had given a heads up that they run small.

These shoes run really small. I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 - 11s work but are often a bit big. I started with the 42, which is supposed to be like a 10.5-11 and they were terribly small. I bought the 43 directly from the Taos website and they just fit - a bit tight in the width but I’m hoping they stretch. They are really cute!

I lover how the boots felt and looked, only reason I returned them was because of the color. Hey we’re lighter than I anticipated. I was looking for a more brown color.

I normally wear size 8 1/2 - 9 but my feet are wide, so I ordered the next size up, size 41, since I wanted to wear warm socks with these boots. They fit beautifully! They are completely comfortable. And the Teal color looks exactly as pictured online.

Ordered these boots in Camel in size 36. First shipment arrived size 38 in what I thought was the wrong color. Second was correct size in what I again thought was the wrong color. This Camel color is truly BROWN, not what I would call camel and nothing like the photos. Sent them both back.

Fit well. True to size but just a little too Doc Martin for me.

This boots are gorgeous and I so wish they fit!! I'm a 42 in most shoes so that's what I ordered for these. But the Taos 42 is definitely on the smaller size. And they don't make a 43, so I'll have to just return these. I'm really bummed because the style is adorable and versatile. I *had* been planning on wearing them with a dress to an evening event. Bummer!!

I had been looking forward to adding these boots to my collection for awhile. However, they went back the same day I rcv'd them. They're super cute and appear to be well made. But they run a full size too small. I wear an 11 (42), so unfortunately I don't have the option of ordering up. I could squeeze my foot in with no socks, but walking was another story. So disappointed.

Loved these boots - so cute! Wanted to keep them, but my toes feel cramped like the toe box is a little narrow. Had to return them.

Comfortable out of the box. Slight bit of heel rub on one foot, but perhaps I should have tried re-lacing. Lots of compliments.

Bought the red ones but they are not as pure a red as in the photograph. Shame because they are super-comfortable. But I wanted red not red-brown.

These boots have moderate arch support and are super comfortable. I also love how they look. My only complaint is that they make my feet sweat, which is not typical for leather. Maybe the footbed insert is not leather? I may remove it and put my own insert in. But, overall, these are great boots!

I bought these as an alternative to Pikolinos of a similar style. These are very cool boots. The fit is true to size. The description is not quite right though - they are not leather lined, but lined in a fuzzy textile. I am not liking that as it is is hot. Sadly, these are going back.

I love these boots. I got the violet and it is a beautiful, deep, subtle shade. I would like these to be a little wider in the toe box but they are shaped so similarly to my foot that I can wear them all day, walk in them for miles, without any rubbing or discomfort. The insole included is not very cushiony and does not have enough arch support so I swapped it out for an Aetrex Lynco L2200 memory foam insole. If they had 1/4" more width in toe box, more substantial arch support and water resistance, they would be 5 stars all around.

Absolutely gorgeous shoes, but too narrow in the shoebox

I wanted to love these1 There felt as if there was a lump in the insole when I walked.

I really wanted these to fit. They are very heavy , almost like a work boot . The laces were nice but the tongue was getting rumbled up. I never even put the second one on. Walking with this chunky heel did not help my gate. They clomp..or. at least the one I tried on did. I think once they were broken n the tongue might flatten out and stay put but I was looking for something easy to slip on. The boot itself is really nice. Beautifully made with nice leather. It's a lot of boot.

The fit was both too big and too small! The toe box was kind of wrinkled in a funny way like it was too roomy, but also a bit too narrow. Just an odd fit for me. The style is beautiful and the construction seems excellent so I’m sorry the fit was off for me & returned them.

Taos footwear never love my feet. I have wide feet and high arches. I bought the 9w and it didn’t work. Uncomfortable, and not wide enough. I didn’t love the brown shoelaces, although they sent black. Honestly they look quite old fashioned and not contemporary. they are frumpy and not the most comfortable.

Weird bump under ball of foot. This is my third pair - I love these boots. But the strange bump on the footbed was immediately uncomfortable. Had to return.

I didn’t really try these on for long to assess for comfort and fit because I saw immediately that the wine color was really very purple, which is not what I wanted. I returned immediately.
