These boots are as beautiful in person as they look online. I have very narrow heels and slim ankles. So, these were true to length but too roomy in the heel even with two pairs of socks. Also, I had them laced up so the two sides overlapped at the top of the shaft. For this much money, I decided not to try to make them work and returned them.

Love, Love, Love! I purchased the Bourdeaux colored boot, such a great color, believe it can go with a lot of things. I’ve recently lost 60lbs and thankfully have recovered from a lot of foot pain, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, so now I get to enjoy cool shoes that aren’t just my Vionics. These boots are truly five star, believe all the positive reviews, I walked in them yesterday for a long day, over 10 hours, hiked some even, walked in the mall, no foot pain! That was my first day wearing them, and I’m just very impressed. The only minor thing I did not like was that the sole squeaked on the floors in Target, but it’s truly very minor and not worth any lower stars. I cleaned them off today with some leather wipes, but I will be getting some mink oil as someone else suggested they do in here on the reviews. I’ve been to Taos and love that these are Taos brand name. I typically can wear an 8 or 8.5 and I followed the advice given by others here to size up a half size and get the 40, perfect fit! So they do seem to run a half size small. Now I just am looking forward to more colors! They are worth the price!

I really wanted to keep these boots! They are truly beautiful! The Indigo color is gorgeous and the leather is great! But way too narrow! So back they go!

I loved the looks of these, but they have to go back. I have moderately wide toes but a narrow heel. These looked like I might be able to break them in, but I couldn't even walk in them. Having the stitching on the cap across the toe may look nice, but it's WAY TOO TIGHT & makes it feel like someone is stepping on your toes. I have a normal to high arch, but these felt like the "arch" went straight across, almost like you are standing on the rung of a ladder. The tongue is soft, like glove leather, but the rest of the shoe is made with leather that is way too thick & stiff. I asked if someone could recommend the regular or the oiled leather for stretchability, but did not get a straight answer. Unless these came in a wide, I assume that neither would stretch enough for me or anyone who has something other than a very narrow foot. They were also too stiff to be able to cinch them in on the instep or calf for a snugger fit there. Picky little detail, but for how expensive these shoes were, the laces looked really cheap & they weren't laced consistently. If I really wanted to keep them, I would have had to purchase laces that didn't look like they were supposed to be in a sneaker.

Took a chance and ordered these after seeing the ad on Facebook. Read all the positive reviews and I have to say I agree 100% that these are the most comfortable out of the box boots I have every purchased! Quality of construction looks to be excellent. I'm not usually one to spend this amount of money on shoes but these are well worth it!!!! Ordered the bordeaux.....love the color and now I think I might splurge and get the turquoise too:)

My new boots arrived yesterday. I wore them all day Thanksgiving Day, and really don't want to take them off. They're so comfortable and stylish! I love the teal color, and I'm so glad I waited for them to come back in stock. I'd buy these in another color in a heartbeat!! ??

Gorgeous teal (more blue than green), nice stylish casual boots. Forefoot was a little narrow for my wider foot, and the leather is pretty firm and sturdy. I won't bet on them stretching, so back they go.

Love the look and fit ! Very comfortable and I have received a lot of compliments on there boots.

I am so sad to have to return these. They are very high quality and beautiful. Unfortunately, they are very small, and since I am a size 42 there was no sizing up for me. I think these would be fine for most people, but I have some minor foot/knee issues, so a "comfort" boot for me requires more cushioning and more room. By no means is this a negative review, but I read so many reviews that said these were comfortable and so I wanted to let others who might have similar issues know that I don't think these should be classified as "comfort" under Zappos' filters. But I sure wish I could keep them. The teal colors is gorgeous and there is nothing else out there like them.

Very sharp looking boot! My husband never notices shoes and he immediately noticed them sitting out and commented on how nice they looked! I believe they would be quite comfortable for most people, but I have hallux rigidus AND metatarsalgia, and they just didn't work for me so I had to send them back.

I always where a size 9 so I went with the 40 as recommended. These run small, my big toe is getting pinched at the tip, to the point it may cause some Problems. I may order the 41 and see how it goes. I love the look of the boot. Just wish someone had given a heads up that they run small.

I bought these stylish & great fitting Taos Crave boots during the summer. Since I work long hours on my feet in a non-air conditioned machine shop, I had to wait for cooler weather to wear them. These boots are genuine leather and keep feet comfortably warm—so wearing theses in 80-90 degree temperatures is just too hot for my comfort. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 medium width shoe, and read all reviews before ordering a size 40 which was recommended as a proper fit for my size. The boots arrived the next day and were packaged beautifully in a chic Taos box, plus the boots looked amazing in Ink Blue—perfect with jeans—and a midnight blue shade that almost looks black. Chocolate brown laces, stitching & matching heels were a great complimentary contrast to the Ink Blue leather. Boots slipped on effortlessly with magnificent cozy comfort. Side zippers allow easy on & off without ever having to untie the laces! Excellent choice for busy ladies who are on their feet all day, and those who love hiking or long walks. Absolutely adore these boots and can’t wait to order them in other great colors.

Confession - I have awful feet, wide with a bunion and a long middle toe (yes, awful!) I never expect any shoe to be comfortable, and am shocked when they are. These boots, folks, are like wearing slippers. I put them on and didn't want to take them off. Toe box is roomy and my heel stays put. I ordered the blue ink and the color is a rich, dark blue. They definitely do not look black. The boots look great with skinny jeans rolled up or tucked in. They also look fantastic with regular jeans and boot cut. Worth the cost; I can see having these and enjoying them for many years to come. If you like a slightly funky combat look and appreciate a really comfortable fit, don't hesitate.

These shoes run really small. I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 - 11s work but are often a bit big. I started with the 42, which is supposed to be like a 10.5-11 and they were terribly small. I bought the 43 directly from the Taos website and they just fit - a bit tight in the width but I’m hoping they stretch. They are really cute!

Great styling, comfortable out of the box, nice soft lining, nice soft shaft. Heel has a soft outsole so you don't clunk around. Held my narrow heel in place. However, this boot has such nice styling I'd prefer it in a lighter color so the detail is visible. I'm going to return the Indigo version I just bought and see if a lighter color in my size (39) comes back into stock.

Boots are fantastic - unfortunately because of big toe joint problem - left boot didn't fit. SOOOOOO disappointed love the boots!

I got two pairs!!!!! Love these boots. I cannot say enough about these boots. I am a pointy toed gal but these are just so company you really Don't want to take them of. I like these boots that I am ordering to the kknee ones today. Not because I can afford but they only have a few left. I guess good bye to pointy toes this year.

These boots are fantastic. They are so soft and comfortable and zip on and off easily. I bought the Bordeaux color in size 40 (I normally wear an 8.5). They have scuffed a bit and I found that Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe polish in Chili is the perfect color match.

I lover how the boots felt and looked, only reason I returned them was because of the color. Hey we’re lighter than I anticipated. I was looking for a more brown color.

Really comfortable and great looking. They may be a little narrower than most boots but that works great for me because most boots are really wide unless I wear heavier socks and I am between a narrow and medium. Made so well and the price is great. I also like that the heel is a little higher, not flat.

I love this boot! It’s was my everyday boot last winter! I could wear them all day right out of the box and it didn’t take long to completely break them in. I purchased the violet last year and just got another pair in the grey. I get compliments on them all the time.
