These boots are outstanding in every way! They were comfy straight off the bat! As an active tourist, I walked the streets of London and Oxford in these. Perfect. Water protection, great footbed, super attractive. I like the laces, which allows for my wide-ish foot and going from tights to light wool socks. Great colors. I've many compliments on them, even from strangers. I'll buy another pair in a different color.

Love the look of the boot. Quality material. I did have to get a size and a half larger than I normally wear. I have 3 pair!!

Beautiful boots, but they run incredibly small. I wear a size 11 or EU43 in most boots, including the Rockports and Borns that I ordered at the same time as these. Not only does Taos consider an EU43 a size 12 (it's NOT), even the size 12 was far too short in the toe. Too bad, because they are very cute!

I hate to give such a low review to these boots since they were GORGEOUS, but in no way, shape, or form were they wide width, and that's what i ordered. I had my hopes up that they would fit my size 10 wide (but not uber wide) foot, but they were pretty tight, even in thin socks, and I got the 42 Wide! There is no size 43. I know a lot of people say "but it will mold to your foot after you break it in". Girl, I have bunions, which is the whole reason I wear wide widths now as to not put pressure on them. These shoes put so much pressure on my bunions that it was painful just to put on, and my bunions are not extreme at all. If Taos ever makes a Crave boot that is actually a true wide width, I'll be first in line to buy it. Sadly, these were not as advertised :(

I am an 8.5 the recommended the 40. A bit big. Not sure if I should keep. The Boudreaux color is really pretty. But I’d like to submit a pic. I think they are used or defective and the laces are not long enough. And they are pulled tight.

Beautiful boots!!! I felt sure they would fit like a glove like my other Taos shoes. The only problem I had initially was that I could not decide which color to order. Therefore, I ordered the blue ink and the grey. After looking at the two, I decided that the grey would be more compatible with my wardrobe. When I tried them on, I was very disappointed. The forefoot was comfortable, giving enough toe wiggle room, but the mid-foot and heel were too wide. I could not lace them tight enough to fit around the mid-foot and prevent heel slippage. I could have used much thicker socks, but that would have compromised the fit of the toe box. Since I have a Morton's neuroma and a bunion, that was not an option. Sadly, I had to send them back. On a positive note, Zappos customer service takes a backseat to no one. You guys are GREAT!

Majorly disappointed. I really wanted the violet color but it was sold out in my size...so I thought I would try the teal. On line it looked more bluish grey, and in person it does have more of a green tint. It is a beautiful boot, fits well, but I just do not L O V E it. The other thing about it is the tongue...and although the laces can be tied at a certain spot and the zipper used for on and off, I felt as though I still had to fuss with the placement of the tongue, laces and then the zipper. Just too much fuss. As far as the fit...it was good. I thought it had ample width for my foot and through the ankle. Don't know how to explain that I really thought I'd be a fan...but I'm just not. Thank you very much , however, Zappos!

I so wanted these boots to fit because they are well made and stylish AND without a big heel. So this boot runs at least 1 size smaller than marked. I wear an 11 medium, no larger, sometimes smaller. I began with a 42 (11-11.5) which should have been fine. NO WAY. Had to try a 43 (12-12.5)!!! Seriously! AND guess what?? At least a size too small. Not sure what's going on with their sizing but obviously not for me. Very disappointing.

These boots are so pretty, but unfortunately that is all they have going for them. I bought them a little over a year ago before a big trip to New York where I walked around A LOT and my feet were killing me the entire time. I regretted buying them at that moment. Since then I have worn them around a lot thinking that I just needed to break them in some more. Well, I can confidently say after over a year of "breaking them in" it only made it worse. My right foot hurts so incredibly bad that if I put these on my arch instantly starts to swell up. My right foot is more sensitive than my left because I broke it over a decade ago. The heel is too high to be casual everyday kind of walking boots, there is no support. These boots are fashionable, not comfort shoes. Plus, after only a year I can see holes forming in the toe bend area. Don't waste your money like I did. The hype does not live up to the quality that one would expect from such an expensive brand.

Loved the boot look and quality but the sizing is way off, ran extra small even considering the European size

I loved the looks of these, but they have to go back. I have moderately wide toes but a narrow heel. These looked like I might be able to break them in, but I couldn't even walk in them. Having the stitching on the cap across the toe may look nice, but it's WAY TOO TIGHT & makes it feel like someone is stepping on your toes. I have a normal to high arch, but these felt like the "arch" went straight across, almost like you are standing on the rung of a ladder. The tongue is soft, like glove leather, but the rest of the shoe is made with leather that is way too thick & stiff. I asked if someone could recommend the regular or the oiled leather for stretchability, but did not get a straight answer. Unless these came in a wide, I assume that neither would stretch enough for me or anyone who has something other than a very narrow foot. They were also too stiff to be able to cinch them in on the instep or calf for a snugger fit there. Picky little detail, but for how expensive these shoes were, the laces looked really cheap & they weren't laced consistently. If I really wanted to keep them, I would have had to purchase laces that didn't look like they were supposed to be in a sneaker.

I wrote a review on the poor quality of this boot, but the company is actually giving me a courtesy replacement. Considering the fact that I adore these I am very pleased.

I normally wear narrows but the medium width works well due to being able to tighten up the lacing on this boot. Excellent comfort right from first putting them on. I've been wanting a pair of red ankle boots that I could walk miles in and I think these are the ones to achieve that. Thank you Taos for combining comfort with fashion.

I see I have owned this pair of boots for 7+years now, so I think I owe them a review. I have the camel color and have worn them consistently during the fall and winter months and they still look and feel great. Stylish, good support, not too heavy. I would own these in every color if I could afford all of them!! They are expensive, but I continue to get my money's worth from these beauties.

Orthopedic inserts wearers rejoice because your inserts will fit, or at least my Powerstep inserts did. However, Taos offers a supportive removable footbed, so you may not need to replace them. These are gorgeous! Yes, they are expensive, but the quality and craftsmanship is apparent as soon as you open the box. I am a 7 1/2 or 8 normally. I ordered both the 7 - 7 1/2 (38) and the 8- 81/2. Both actually fit, but I was afraid the 8’s would slide around when walking, so I kept the 7’s. Thanks Zappos for being our go to shoe store! Buy the shoes!

I love Taos boots, they are so comfortable. I take a 5.5 and the 36 fits me perfect.

These are super cute boots and well made. Unfortunately they were too narrow for me. I have to return them. I might try a bigger or wider size if they have it.

Beautiful boot a little tight over the toe area. After 2 days of wearing them off and on around the house they stretched.

These were given as a gift. The recipient was extremely happy with the boots. She said they fit as expected and were very comfortable. She’s had multiple compliments on them. Her daughter now wants a pair.

These are the third pair of Crave's I've ordered. They are stylish and comfortable. I'm a size 9 and they were a perfect fit.

I bought these boots a few years ago and they are my go to shoes that I wear most of the fall/winter. Finally this year, I’ve worn the heel down enough that it developed holes but I’ve had 2 children since I first bought them!! They are so comfy, that I’ve taken long walks and some small hikes in them. I’ve had several people ask where I got them over the years because of the unique blue color. I’m just now looking to buy a new pair to replace the old.
