I wear a size 11 WW. This is my first pair of Clarks shoes. The shoe is very comfortable as the heel is not too high. The width and arch support are excellent. I am going to purchase another pair in brown.

These are great for skirts or slacks. The hunt was over when I finally found these shoes! I must have tried eight pairs. I had a 10W growing up but after kids I have 11W feet (low arch) which is a pain to try to find a stylish, feminine shoes! Finding boots even more difficult. Anyway, these shoes are basic but beautiful and comfortable. They have a nice slightly asymmetrical strap, too. I ordered black and brown. I am grateful to Zappos and their excellent service. I have many friends about to call you after seeing these shoes on my happy feet! And I will be looking for something even more dressy! And maybe even find a stylish, warm pair of roomy winter boots in a 12 or preferably 13? Could it happen?Probably with Zappos it can!

his is a beautiful shoe -- sturdy, yet appropriate for either skirts or pants. The box toe adds to the comfort, alleviating pressure. However, as I've noticed many users complain, manufacturers don't seem to realize that, should the toe area be wide due to bunions or whatever,the heel stays relatively narrow. This shoe, like so many others which I'm forced to order wide due to a bunion, is too wide both across the instep and in the heel, causing it to slap up and down when I walk. I really liked this shoe and I hate to have to return it! I'm always grateful for your promply delivery and your return policy -- the BEST!

ADORE! These are fabulous. Love the dark brown color. These will go with a million outfits and they are SO comfortable.

Last year I bought a pair in black, they were SO comfortable and cute I immediately ordered a second pair for when the first pair wears out. I wear a 6.5 M and these are absolutely true to size. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Excellent quality. Heel height is perfect for my foot size and my height (5' 2"). Personally I think they're almost sexy, but certainly elegant and cute. I need a relatively high toe box and Clark's always delivers this. Excellent quality as always from Clark's. I have a medium to a little bit high arch and these were perfect. I usually stick to Clark's; if it works, don't fix it.

The best! Comfortable from the moment I put them on. I've worn them twice since and they're fabulous. Not the sexiest shoes ever -- c'mon, they're Clarks -- but if you value comfort above high style, these are your shoes.

This shoes was so comfortable from the first time I tried it on. The heal is very sturdy and the softness on the inside is like heave on my problem feet.

Clark shoes are always too narrow for my feet so I ordered the Wide and these shoes fit great. I wear them for work and am standing and walking in them all day and they are quite comfortable so I ordered another pair.

The shoe fit well, but the style was not what I wanted as it was a bit 'clunky' due to the way the sole wraps around the upper. Comfy and fits, but not for me.

These were great at first, but I've only worn them a few times and they're showing a lot of wear, with bits of the leather peeling off.....very disappointing.

Loved these shoes, but there is not much adjustment in the strap and they slipped on my heel. If I had been able to tighten the strap they would have been great. I had to return.

I love these shoes so much I just bought my second pair. I never wear heels, but these are so comfortable! I am usually between a size 8N and 8.5N - I went with the 8.5N and they are just right. I have a narrow, low-volume foot, so it's rare that I can find anything comfortable. They did not need to be "broken in" or anything, just felt great right out of the box. The materials look very nice, and it seems to be a solid, well-made shoe. You do need to be careful not to scuff the leather, of course. Like any heels, they might start to hurt if you stand on them all day long. But for me, I've found them perfectly comfortable for standing and walking short distances (I can even run in them when necessary :)). My toes do not slide to the front of the shoe as they do in almost all other heels. They also do not slip off the back of my heel. I have worn these with pants or dresses, socks or tights - they work great with anything I've tried so far. I just wish they would make more colors - I would order them all!

These shoes aren't slim, fancy, or elegant, but for those of us with wide feet, wide toes/bunions, more narrow heels, and the need for lower-height heels, they can totally take the place of the slim, fancy, elegant shoes that are unwearable to us. The key here is to really play up the retro vibe of the style, rather than try to hide it. (The lady here with the fishnets photo has totally nailed it.) I've read about a number of issues with long-term or frequent-use quality, but I reserve these shoes for the times where I absolutely must wear heels only (weddings, interviews, etc), and for that occasional use, they've been fine. The heel height is comfortable, easy to walk in, and doesn't hurt your back, and the nice solid block heel is stable and wide, and doesn't curve or narrow, close to wearing boots. The arches could be more supportive if you have high arches, but they've got more going on than most. Surprisingly, even though I have super-wide toes, I found the 9 1/2 W to work better for me than the 9WW: while the 9 WW is the most precise length and width for my feet, the arch didn't line up quite right and I felt like I was slipping forward, even when the shoe was tightened. By switching to the 9 1/2 W, I got a better fit in the arch and the strap and slightly more narrow heels keeps me from sliding forward, while still providing room for my toes/bunion.

I'm a flight attendant. These run about a half size larger than normal. There is very little you can do to adjust the tightness of the straps, the velcro adhesive only goes so far down the shoe. So you can't compensate for even a minorly oversized shoe. It either fits or it doesn't. I gave these a shot for a couple of wearings and they, unfortunately, didn't work. As a tall person, I have a long foot (size 10), narrow in arch and heel and wide in the joints of my toes and longer toes. I generally have to order wide to accommodate for the top half of my foot and it works fine. However, if you have a similar foot to me, these shoes will not work for you. These shoes would work for an overall wider foot, shorter toes, and more full in the heel and arch. The padding is definitely comfortable. The design is definitely not glamourous, it's utilitarian, so if you need basic non-slip and nondescript work shoes, these would do it. I would return them, but having worn them a couple of times already to give them a chance, it's not possible. I may try to take them to a cobbler and get the strap altered when I have some time and see if that helps.

I like the show. Well constructed and a good fit. I would prefer a buckle and not Velcro on the strap though.

There is so much to like about these shoes. They are very comfortable and I love the shape of them. My only problem with them is the velcro fastener. It works just fine, but the overall effect makes the shoes seem rather like "geriatric heels". If only it was a buckle or even a snap, they would be so much classier.

Nice looking shoe, they are well-padded inside and so comfortable to walk in, and dance! They are just a bit large, but not a full half-size. If I wear stockings, they really feel as if I'm slipping a bit inside them, but with slacks and my black socks, they feel about right. Since I wear an 11, there is no 10 1/2 for me to wear. THey are a good shoe for me, with my bunion and arthritis, I look for shoes with padded soles, and I lift the insole and put my orthotics in place. The strap should be re-shaped. I wanted to pull it tighter, but the shape, the way it curves gracefully into the body of the shoe, does not permit that. I see several people have had trouble with that element, but I'm keeping these shoes, they are a nice basic for my needs.

Even though the shoes were too large, were very light and comfortable....However, the Velcro on one side would not stay shut...upon inspection, was evident shoes had been worn...foot and stocking imprint on shoe insert. Sending back. Also, size was larger than standard, need to get a half-size smaller, which doesn't come in narrow. Will have to see if is too wide when I receive. Hopefully, those will be new.

I would prefer a wider toe box (I have a shoe stretcher and used it to keep my toes from feeling squeezed). Also, since I have no arch and these shoes are slightly taller (higher heel) than I usually wear (as recommended by my podiatrist for posterior tibial tendonitis), I find that by the end of the day, my feet want to slide forward. I wish the hook-and-loop closure could be made tighter to avoid this condition.

I need a small heel to wear as my onboard shoe and I believe this will fit the bill. I like the Mary Jane style as it helps keep the shoe on when we’re running around. It would definately look better with a black nylon or sock vs the nude nylons we are required to wear.

I really wanted to like these, but in person I just didn’t care for the appearance.

I ordered An 8 extra wide after trying my regular size of a 8.5 wide first and finding it too long. Definitely extra wide in the back half of the shoe but I would say only regular wide across the center of the foot (about where your skin shoes above the shoe top opening. Up to where the strap goes across your foot). Seems to be plenty of room in the toe box, but I am going to have to take out the insert until they stretch out a bit. They are that tight across the top of my foot over my arch. Eventually, I hope to get my orthotic in them, but not yet. Shoe is very cute for one that needs to accommodate orthopedic inserts. I usually have to buy ugly shoes.

Very nice looking, and they were overall good shoes. However, the strap across the top doesn't tighten or loosen very much, and is not very adjustable. Not good for my narrow heels, which constantly slide out. These shoes were good aside from not doing well with narrow heels.
