Poor quality. Shoes feel like they are different heights. Not the same quality and comfort as the older OBOZ shoes.

I really enjoy the thick tread. This is my third pair. I like the wide solid base and my feet feel supported in these for all the activities of hiking, walking the dog and outdoors .

This is my second pair. I tend to wear thick socks, so these are a size larger. The are quite comfortable. They are quality leather and do require a bit of breaking in.

Great shoes, very aggressive tread. Wear a 10.5 and purchase a 10.5, a little tight but breaking in nicely.

I was looking for a good urban walking shoe for the wet winter weather in Portland. This shoe is great, it fits accurate to size, maybe just a bit roomy, has plenty of toe room and has a nice sturdy sole. Has room for a medium heavy sock. Only issue is that they ride slightly high on my ankle.

Well made hiking boot that is true to size. The sole is a bit stiff and that may soften with further use. These were a replacement pair that did not really work out. The Old Orchard store went above and beyond in addressing the previous pair and easily facilitated their replacement.

A good, solid shoe; a few changes could make it a great one. I'm normally an 11.5M and that's what fit me best in this shoe.
Pros (for me):
- Good, stiff, sole & mid-sole. This combo is SO much better for me than the Oboz Sawtooth version. Not necessarily comfy on hard pavement, but much more supportive and solid on rocky trails. So, if you like something stiffer, this is a good choice if the fit is good for you.
- Good arch support and a good compromise in toe box size. I personally like my hiking shoes really tight, with zero slip, so I had to change the insole to something that had more volume in the toe. But, my feet run to the narrow side of M, so this might be just right for you.
- Really good materials and construction.
Cons (for me):
- Heel box. Not deep enough or, more specifically too high. This shoe would offer "rock solid" heel stability if it was lower/deeper. Rides a little high, which sometimes makes it feel like the heel is not quite tight enough and, if lower, would be less prone to ankle turns.
Overall summary: I like this shoe. I find myself wearing it a lot for daily wear and light hiking because it's so comfortable. But, if I'm doing something on loose rock or variable terrain, I'll wear my Scarpa Zens or Asolo boots for the added stability.
I'd also recommend:
Asolo, Scarpa

Need more cushion in the front of the shoe. Stilling getting used to them as a work shoe standing on concrete for 6-8 hours.

On the upside, these shoes have very stiff soles which is perfect for the trails we hike (lots of rocks and exposed roots.) The materials the shoes are made of seem to be quality. The tread on the bottom also seems pretty good in the mud. So far, they seem to be pretty water resistant. The only real issue I have with them is the fit. The inside of the shoe fits pretty well around my feet, but heel and ankle feel loose in the shoe and slide around a little bit causing minor blisters on the back of my ankles...and this time of year I wear LL Bean Boot Socks. It was nothing a couple band aids couldn't fix.

I have very flat feet. A tad narrow. Previous hiker was an LL Bean model which comfortably fit. Platform is stiffer than most yet acceptably flexes.

A little narrow feeling in the toes but tried first time for over an hour hike and no sore feet or anything, fit like gloves, very happy. Especially with the added strap-on- cleats during this icy walk. No issues, good shoes

I've had these for over a year now and they are quality built and very durable. For outdoor shoes these were my first departure from Merrells and in terms of quality and durability, these are a much better shoe. I haven't worn other Oboz but these are quite stiff without much cushion. The heel pocket is quite high and at times they feel tippy in the ankle. I'd buy Oboz again for sure but would want to try other models to find a more comfortable fit. Overall I'm happy

I have been a Keen wearer for years now but thought I give these a shot. I was not disappointed. Great fit for hiking. I wear them because I climb ladders and they support my feet better than sneakers. Will definitely get another pair.

The width of these shoes was narrow on both feet but significantly more narrow on the left foot. I tried wearing then for a few days but they were just too uncomfortably narrow.
I'd also recommend:

The rubber on the outside of the heel hit in the middle of the heel and is very uncomfortable for me. Other people might be fine with it but do me, it's not the shoes for me. Seems to be built well though.

These hikers were narrow and smaller than I like. Generally a 12M fits me well. Not the case here

Got a half size bigger per other reviews. Should have gotten a whole size bigger. Very tight with hiking socks. Shoe a bit heavy as well. As heavy as a boot.

I ordered a pair of these along with a pair of Oboz Sawtooth II hiking shoes. The Sawthooth II are one of the most comfortable shoes that I have worn recently. The Bridger, ordered in the same size and width, was painfully narrow towards the front of the shoe. I was surprised that two pairs of shoes from the same company would fit so differently. It is a well made shoe if it fits. I sent the shoes back to LL Bean.
