I received these as an early Christmas present and I absolutely love them! Great slender fit compared to their 'original' rain boot. The matte-like finish of them almost gives me the look of leather boots. I anticipate purchasing the Hunter down liners and I'll be all set for my Chicago trip in December!

The boots were exactly what I expected. the shaft was perfect, the look classic and streamlined. Unfortunately, I have a wide foot and these were "true" to size. I ordered a size up as well and they were to big in the ankles.... My only request is that Hunter and other "like" boots come in wide widths. Wide widths that are streamlined and classic.

This boot is smaller all around than their original boots. Narrower in the foot and shaft. You may consider ordering up a size. Great boot that blends style and function.

This style of hunter boots is the only one that works for women with narrow calves. I tried many different hunter boots before I found these, because all the other styles looked ridiculous on my narrow calves. So I really love this style! The only negative is, that the width of the foot seems to be too narrow, it still works for me, but definitely not with warm socks. And I have very narrow feet myself. I can't imagine how this would work for somebody with just little wider feet. But still, it works for me and I love the quality and style of these boots.

I think these are super cute & love them. They are a little snug though & can be painful after I have had them on a while, especially on the top of my foot-which is really weird.

I love these boots. I tried three different types of Hunter Boots before I found these. These are worth the extra price! They appear more riding boot like in looks than rain boot. My only complaint is that they are just a 1/2 inch too tall for me (I'm 5'4 with short legs), almost reaching my knees. I usually wear a 8.5, and ordered these in an 8. The boots themselves feel rigged at first, but will start to loosen after 3 wears.

This was a great looking boot, I waited for it for several months as it was out of stock. Once it came, it was very good looking! I have sent it back for the original that I currently own and love. The fit was just not for me. It seemed the shaft angled back and was not so comfortable. The strapping which was what I loved about it makes the boot hard to pull on (without risk of breaking them). The color also is a modeled black. It is pretty, just not what I was looking for.

While I really like these boots and will keep and wear them, across the top of my ankle they are tight and rub a little. I don't feel that a larger or smaller size would help. I do not have wide feet or a large instep, actually, I have long flat narrow feet. I normally wear an 8 and it did fit true to size.

After some research, I've learned there seems to be mostly 3 Fits for each Hunter boot (at least according to the current Hunter website): Original, Slim, and Wide. Unfortunately, you may not know which you are ordering until you actually receive them because listings, descriptions, and SKUs are inconsistent across every site. Also, like Zappos, most sites list their own SKU#s and not Hunter's. I'm not sure what the *Hunter* SKU is for this listing, the Refined Strap Originals (this particular style isn't currently listed on the Hunter site), but the pair I received from Zappos says WFT1074RMA. According to Hunter, this pair is actually Slim Fit. To add to the confusion, the label says 'ORG' (assuming that means Original?), see the pic. On the size 7 boots I ordered, the inside circumference is about 14 3/8". (Zappos' listing says the size 8 boot has a 15" circumference. Is that correct for Original Fit?? Who knows!) The 14 3/8" measurement is consistent with Hunter's other Slim Fit (non-strap) Refined boots. (I also ordered a pair of what I thought were Refined Original (Hunter SKU: WFT2004RMA) and instead received Refined Slim Fit (Hunter SKU: WFT1071RMA). Of course, that label also says 'ORG', despite having the Slim Fit SKU#.) Lastly, I'm not sure if it's because I got the Slim Fit or if it's the style of the Refined Strap in particular, but for some reason these make me look like I have cankles. ?? Weird to say about rain boots, but I ordered several different Hunter pairs due to the multiple incorrect SKU/descriptions, and this style/fit were the only ones that looked weird to me around the ankles. I'm glad I can return items for free, but I wish Hunter would get their descriptions / names / labels / SKUs straightened out.

I love the look of Hunter boots, but the originals were too clunky for my size 10 feet - as many other rain boots are - the styles don't size up well to 10. So, when I saw the Refined on sale, I bought them in black. When I tried them on, they looked HUGE and clunky on my feet. Walking in them was a chore, as they are heavy and there is no arch support. The boots themselves appear durable and well-made, but sadly, not for me.

I returned them. The calf was too tight and I never have a problem with slim boots. They would have been ok with tights but never jeans. I didn’t want to pay that much and been limited. I bought the classic style with adjustable shaft and I like them very much. If they made the refined in wider calf with the cute logo then I would have bought those. Why spend so much without the cute logo?

The top of the boot was wayyyyy too tight. They don’t really taper out from the ankle up, it’s the same diameter all the way up. So they’re huge around my ankle and I can’t even get them over my calves. Unfortunately, they aren’t worth buying. Now I have to return them.

Love the boot but was a little small. Had to exchange for the next size up. Can’t wait for them to get in.

These are beautiful boots and they offer great protection for a rainy day. However, they are very heavy and feel clunky when I walk. They are bit difficult to get off because they create suction around my foot. Also, they make my feet and legs extremely hot, so I’d never be able to wear them on a rainy day in the hot DC summer.

says "adjustable" but it is not. a solid rubber boot top at a smaller diameter with a buckle put outside of that does not count as "adjustable". cute design for "chicken-legs. sorry.

These are not comfortable unless you have a narrow, low foot. They hurt on the top of my foot and hurt very badly on the sides of my foot. I have spoken with other women who have both the original and the refined styles and they all say the refined style is not as comfortable. They look really great, but if you can't wear them- what's the point!?

Unfortunately, these boots were two different colors when I received them. I had them send me another pair and they were also different colors. Hunter boots naturally "bloom" due to the rubber they are made out of. However, I didn't expect to have to try to get the bloom off right out of the box. One of my boots was black and the other looked gray. After using the Hunter boot buffer and spray, I still couldn't get them to look the same. I had to return. :( the boots are really cute, ran a bit small.

I sized down to a 7 because I wear a 7 1/2. That was perfect for length and width. However, the top of the boot was very tight across the top of my foot. Also, the rubber was indented where the Hunter logo sits which made the boots look awkward. I'm very disappointed.

The instep is so tight that it hurts after wearing about 30 mins. It's pressure is pressing the instep so much that after a while the whole leg is sore.

Love these boots. They felt too narrow first out of the box. After I wore them a day or two they broke in and now feel great on my feet.
