Boot was very wide in the shaft which was made out of stiff leather. The arch support was lacking for me in this style.

The footbed felt amazing, the leather is pretty. I wanted to LOVE these, but they were just too loose around my 8.5' ankle and 14' calves.

I absolutely love these boots. I am so thankful for Zappos. I literally ordered 10 different pairs of boots trying to get a pair to fit. I have ridiculously difficult and wide feet to fit. Within the last two years I've developed plantar fasciitis just to make things a little more challenging. I have been wearing Birkenstock's for decades. Although they are not sized for wide feet, I can generally be comfortable in their "regular" sizing. I so wanted these boots to fit. Foot-wise they were wonderful, unfortunately my calves are just not that slim. Surely wish that Birkenstock's would make this boot with a larger calf. Sadly, returned, to continue the search. I did finally settle on another pair of Birkenstock boots that were much shorter and made of suede. They kept me warm all winter long. Still though, would love these! Thanks again Zappos for letting me try MANY shoes in the comfort of my home, knowing I can easily send them back if they just don't work out!

Let me start by saying that I live for my Birkenstock sandals (all six pairs), and that is pretty much all I wear in the summer, so I was super excited at the thought of Birky boots! But I thought these boots run a bit short, but seemed like they would be comfy. Not the greatest in style, and though many folks said they were tight in the calf, I did not find that to be the case, but I have size 11 feet and thin calves.

Felt wider than marked which is great for inserting orthotics or wearing socks with these. I have a wide foot with a high instep so the foot of these boots was great. But the staff of these boots was too narrow for wide calves. I could get them zipped and I know they are all leather so will eventually stretch but not for weeks so I know I will not be able to wear leggings or skinny jeans with these for quite some time which may be a dealbreaker for me. In addition, the leather around the zipper on the left boot got caught in the zipper and would not come unstuck so I had to get the boot off without undoing the zipper. This seems like a defect in the boot. The style of these boots in very plain, Earth shoes from the 70s. Not sure I love it. The comfort rules but I thing there are boots that combine looks and comfort.

I was disappointed when I received these boots in the mail. I wear a size 10 (Euro size 41) and never have to order a larger size and these fit way too small. They already made my feet look big so I didn't want to order the next size up. They were not that stylish either. I didn't feel like the price matched the quality or style.

First off I LOVE Birkenstock and after having alot of foot issues lately was told to stick with birkenstock. I was super excited to try these boots BUT I couldn't even get my foot into the boot! Mind you I have very wide feet! Great for someone with regular to narrow feet
