I recently purchased these as a work shoe, and I couldn't be happier. The style is super cute with skinny ankle-length pants and is a fun alternative on an ankle bootie (I don't usually like the higher cut of ankle booties and prefer the lower cut of these shoes). The leather is good quality and feels supple; just be aware that the shoes are not waterproof (they showed some spots when I wore them in the rain), so I added some mink oil to them which will hopefully help repel water. The best part about the Shaylas is the comfort - these shoes are VERY comfortable and supportive, and I usually can't handle heels too well. I also love how they have a rubber sole, so they are much quieter when you are walking around the office. The heel area is just a bit long on me so there is a bit of a gap, but my heel does not slip out so hopefully as they break in my heel will settle in better. I have experienced no rubbing issues in the heel area, and the shoes have a nice soft cushiony lining in the heel area. Another reviewer mentioned that the Shaylas have a nice vintage look, but for what I've been wearing them with, they also can look very modern. I have tried these with a number of outfits and they look great with pants, skirts, and dresses. I would highly recommend them!

I can't believe how comfortable these shoes are! I have a very wide foot so often wide width shoes are still a bit uncomfortable for me, but these were great. I wore them out all day shopping, so plenty of standing around and walking. They have a nice shock-absorbing sole so I felt like I was walking on air. My new favorite shoe!

I bought these for work and love them! I'm a flight attendant and spend a considerable time on my feet. I can wear these all day, for multiple days, and my feet don't hurt. They are cute and comfortable, and didn't even have to break them in. I probably could've gotten them in medium width instead of the wide.

This was my first purchase of Rockport Cobb Hill. The interior is very well padded and comfortable. The sole and heel provide good stability. I have very sensitive feet, a high instep, narrow heel and a bunion on one foot. I ordered a 9.5 in wide. I have never ordered a wide before, just ordered up to a 10 to accommodate the bunion. I always had to use heel pads and cushioning. These shoes are comfortable without additions. Will continue to order Cobb Hill.

These are cute, really comfortable, and make my size 11 foot look downright petite! However, this pair of shoes arrived with a scuff on the outside leather and a smudge of ...something...on the insole of one shoe, and the other shoe had a tear in the leather near where it joins the sole. Bottom line, I may look for this model somewhere else, but this particular pair is going back.

Toe box way too tight, but too loose in the heel. The "collar" of the heel, I guess to prevent slipping, is very pronounced and uncomfortable. Strange lump felt under metatarsals. Otherwise they look cute and the cushioning inside looked inviting, but they were not at all comfortable.

Love, love, love these shoes! They are so comfortable. I had bought a pair that look like these years ago from Payless shoes and they finally wore out because they weren't leather. I am so happy that I found these in wide width. I've been looking for months for a pair of Oxfords that world for my wide feet. I know these are going to last me years. High quality!

Love these shoes for work. They look cute with trousers or with jeans.

Comfortably supportive and stable; I feel absolutely secure on the heels; that's uncommon for me because my feet pronate. Look better on my feet than in pictures; I get compliments on them. I have narrow heels and wide problem toes; these fit well because I can lace them snugly. The only thing I don't like is that the replacement laces are not available from the manufacturer nor shoe stores. A cobbler found a pair in his out-of-date stock that he had almost discarded, otherwise I'd have needed new shoes. I wear a 10.5 when available; these don't come in 10.5 so I tried the 11 and they fit.

I have a pair of oxford heels that are incredibly uncomfortable. They gave me blisters and I had to stuff them to get them to fit properly. I don't know why I suffered with them for so long. These shoes are absolutely amazing and comfortable. Definitely worth the price.

I was looking for a shoe that would give me an "old time" look, as I am playing banjo in an old time string band. With a vintage dress that looks like it's from the late 40s, I am set for the stage. I feel like Mother Maybelle.

I love these shoes! Fit is just what I was looking for. I need higher heels and this shoe does the trick. It looks fabulous (better than the pictures).

Unfortunately, going through TSA's X-ray they found that only ONE of my two shoes had a supportive shank on the heal. The TSA agent had to run my shoes twice through the X-ray to see if it was actually weapon because only one heal had it. I am not sure if it was just a mistake in manufacturing or if this shoe was cheaply made!!

these are the Cobb Hill Shayla shoe, I ordered a size 9N and the fit is perfect, very cute. I use them for work, I do walk a lot and they are comfortable, however, I am not use to walking in this high of a heel, so they do hurt my feet just a bit, but it's me, not the shoe! they aren't even that high! They do feel a little heavy while walking, but it's not a deal breaker. They are a very nice shoe for winter, keep my feet warm. They are cute with dress pants or jeans.

I was looking for a good-looking work shoe that complimented pants and a skirt. This shoe fit the bill. I love the look, and the quality is very good. Most important for me was the fact that the shoe has a little heel to elongate the leg and give a little height, but I can still walk comfortably. Would buy again if it came in a solid brown.I

I have a narrow, very hard to fit, foot. These shoes are perfect. Comfortable and stylish and you can literally walk for miles.

I love these shoes. I had a pair just like them and wore them a LOT!!!! I finally decided to replace them and I'm so happy that I did. These shoes are not your grandmother's shoes. They are so cute and could even call them sexy with a pair of jeans. The quality of the leather is beautiful. The workmanship of the shoes is impeccable. They are so comfortable! No need to "break them in". I wore them all day the day I received them without any complaints. I will buy these shoes again. I highly recommend them. I have only one request: PLEASE make them in different colors. Light gray and light cream colors would be awesome. If they would have come in these two colors I would have bought three pair.

I love these shoes. They’re classic and comfortable. I wear them to work almost every day. They are well constructed and will last a long time. I have a hard time finding shoes to fit cuz I have a bunion. Medium width shoes usually are painful. The wide width in this shoe is perfect for my feet. Rockport Cobb Hill shoes are wonderful. This is my 2nd or 3rd pair and I’m not disappointed. Definitely consider this brand if comfort is a desired attribute. I only chose moderate arch support because I have a high instep and most shoes do not have enough arch support for me.

Just got these to replace my favorite shoe ever, the discontinued predecessor of the Gratasha Oxford (I've forgotten the name). The Shayla is very comfortable from the get-go, and I will make the smallest size - 6 - work for my size 5.5. feet by wearing them with those invisible socks to keep my heels from slipping. I'm one of those duck feet people with wide front foot and narrow heels, and the Shayla (like the other one) fits me well (the heel collar does the trick, I guess). The Shayla has a higher heel than I ordinarily wear, but there's a hint of a platform in the front that makes for comfort, and the sole is rubber, and my plan is to just let the heels wear down and have my cobbler not build back up the full heel height. Or I may get used to the heel height - like I said, they are really comfortable. The only way they could be improved for me is if they came in size 5.5. All the Cobb Hill shoes I've bought have been consistently spot-on for me in terms of size and width. Though I love the Shayla, I'd also love it if the predecessor of the Gratasha came back. I bought three pairs before they were discontinued, and I have worn the heels down countless times, take them to my cobbler to fix the heels, and start all over again. I haven't quite worn out the soles, but I have worn holes into the uppers. But for the moment, the Shayla will have to do :-)

I was looking for a shoe that provided me with a sturdy walking surface. These do the job. They are very pretty and I found plenty of room for my toes and all around my foot. Excellent fit. I also need good arch support and these shoes provide great arch support for my foot. Would buy again.

The shoes are perfect, and so was customer service. When I told them that the original left shoe had a defect, Zappos was very quick about replacing the shoes with a new pair and provided me with a pickup and label to return the original pair. I am very pleased.

I love this shoe. I wear a narrow and it fits perfectly. The foot bed is cushioned which I really like. Rarely can I put on a new shoe and be comfortable.

Very good-looking shoe. Not great for walking. Good office shoe.
