I love these shoes! Wore them right out of the box! Walked 2 miles to and from work. Tried to order more the next day but they were not available in my size. I will keep checking though! They are great walking shoes and look good enough for work and casual events. Fit is true to size. I ordered pewter and love the color. Goes great with black, grey and blue.

These shoes are very comfortable and good looking. I was unsure about how well they would fit because I have narrow feet, and toe toe box is wider than most of my other shoes. However, the the shoe heel is narrower than the toe box. There is no slippage in the back and my toes are very happy with the extra room up front. The insole is soft and cushy. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

True to size and width. I wish the cross strap was either bit narrower or a bit further away from my ankle. They are comfortable but a little stiff.

Due to the reviews, I first went to a store to try on Rockport Mary Janes to check for length. The various Rockport Mary Janes appear to use the same shoe last. I tried on Daisy flats. I was amazed that size 10 was as long as my men's 10 boots! (I never take a 10 in women's shoes, but I bought 10 narrow Petra shoes.) I take size 11 in women's adidas. I wear size 12 in Easy Spirit leather walking shoes. I just took some Petra measurements to help others. The bottom sole of size 10 narrow at the longest point is 11 1/4" and the back center seam vertical rise is 2.5". My podiatrist made me both cushiony orthotics for boots and tennis shoes as well as dress orthotics, the latter of which, work well in my Petra shoes. I will be so much more comfortable wearing these Rockport Petra shoes vs. high-heeled or even low-heeled shoes!

Love the color (pewter I think) as it is a good neutral. Very comfortable and good walkers. Hopefully will be taking them to Italy in a few months!

I have a bunion on one of my feet, and it took me a very long time to find a pair of shoes that looks nice and is comfortable. I usually wear a 7 medium but I ordered this shoe in the 7 medium and also in 6 1/2 wide. Both of them fit me! I wasn’t sure which pair to keep-One of the reasons I ordered this model was because another reviewer said that they have a nice wide toebox even in the medium width. I don’t have wide feet but I wanted lots of space for my bunion and I didn’t want my bunion to be the one that’s stretching out the shoe which is what usually happens. Even my sneakers get holes on the side where my bunion bangs out. In the end, I kept the 6 1/2 wide, and returned the 7 medium. I love shopping with Zappos because returns are so easy, I knew I could keep one and return whichever one was less fitting me or return them both if neither were good for me. I have custom-made light weight orthotics which I put inside the shoes to give me the arch support that I need. The shoes are now super comfortable and look very cute. And they’re not too wide on the ankle end. And I believe this is how good shoes should be-should be comfortable right away. I highly recommend these shoes.

I love the Cobb Hill collection--I have 3 pairs. These are the most substantial of the 3 pairs--the other two are sandals. I have the Petra in pewter and can wear them with or without socks. I recently wore them on a 2-week trip to Europe during which we we were on our feet for 10 hours per day sightseeing and standing in museums. No blisters and plenty of support.

I love these shoes! My only disappointment was that the pewter color is actually darker than the picture shows. I wear AA width and in some shoes a AAA, so it's difficult for me to shoe shop. Having the strap across the foot is helpful since it didn't come in a AAA. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

These are very nice shoes, comfortable but still pretty. They are clearly well made, good quality for the money.

This is a great shoe that I wear with somewhat casual, as well as more dressy clothes. I have ltrouble trying to find shoes that both fit and feel comfortable, and look pretty good. I have a long, narrow foot, but since I have a Morton's neuroma on one foot, I have to wear a M width shoe with a large toe box. The adjustable strap is critical to help make sure that the shoe stays secure at the ankle, so I can walk comfortably. I did add a pair of slightly padded insoles to make the fit a bit better to wear without any socks. I have to say that I haven't worn the shoe to walk any distances, but it feels comfortable for day to day wear.

I like the shoe it is comfortable and can remove insole but orthotics would not fit. Color was navy but not a true navy...Rockport color descriptions do not run true. Platinum is almost gold and pewter was the same color as platinum. If you wear a half size you can order smaller size also width.

These are very attractive and comfortable shoes. I have a very wide toe box and comparatively narrow heel, so I needed the wide width on these for my toes, but the heel feels relatively stable thanks to the strap.

A great Mary Jane that was comfortable from right out of the box! Versatile style means this is a great travel shoe that can be paired with everything from jeans to black dress pants. This was a staple of my winter wardrobe!

This is my second pair of Petra shoes. I walk miles every day in the hospital where I work. They are very comfortable and provide good support.

Really wanted these to work but they ran large. The heel just felt too wide and I didn't think they would stay on. Didn't think an 8.5 would work, so I decided against them. But otherwise, very comfortable.

Finally these shoes come in an extra wide. One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. No break in necessary. Going to buy more

I have a pair of these already and wear them many hours per week. They are so wide in the toe box that you don't necessarily need to order wide if that's what you do normally.

I have narrow, sensitive feet and I thought I would always have to use band-aids to avoid blisters when breaking in shoes. These shoes fit great out of the box -- no band-aids needed. I could probably use a slightly narrower heel, but the strap keeps the shoe on my foot with minimal sliding. Love these!

My Cobb Hill shoes in pewter arrived today. I put them on and have worn them all day, with a medium-weight sock. The support is exceptional, and the insole is fully removable. The style is cute, with artistic detail. And for a sturdy shoe, the shoe is amazingly lightweight! Highly recommend!

This is a very nice shoe, well-made and appropriately priced. It would be comfortable and perfect if my feet were normal. But, I have an EE wide foot with a heel than is medium or narrow, so the shoe slipped at my heel even with the strap tightened. I'm giving it a 5 star rating even though I can't wear it.
