They are leather, light weight and very comfortable. They may run 1/2 size larger, but they are fine.

My mary jane search is over! I have exhausted all the choices at Zappos and I have found my shoe! This pair has a nice wide toe box to fit my wide foot and the style is really nice. The extra style lines make the shoe look like a quality shoe, the strap is wider, but would be perfect if it weren't velcro, but most are these days. I also wish this shoe wasn't so flat. The inside of the shoe has a lot of nice stitching and that is nice, too. I was looking at a Taos brand, but it was too narrow in toe box and the strap, good thing was that the heel was a bit higher.
I'd also recommend:
Birkenstock, too bad cute styles are only narrow width. Taos, Rockport, SAS...

Mom has feet that vary in size with swelling. Sometimes shoes fit and the same pair don't fit at any other given time. The shoe fits either way now. Comfortable and the adjustable strap allows her to wear the shoes all day.

I’m very happy with this shoe. It fits great, even on my extra wide feet. It is work-appropriate and can be worn with jeans. It’s exremely comfortable. The best part is the strap attaches via Velcro so there’s room to tighten if you’re going sockless, and room for thicker socks in the winter.

Got this shoe in the wide width and it's perfect for my almost flat feet--moderate arch support and VERY comfortable all day long. Great styling--I can only wear flats b/c of a heel injury, and wanted something that would look professional. Ended up buying these in 3 colors! The leather is soft and doesn't dig in to my heel; they feel broken in from first wear, although they are well made and the leather is a nice thickness. The velcro adjustable strap is comfortable and stays in place. The color of the red/burgundy is rich and just right, just as pictured.

I ordered these in the wide width and sent them back for the medium width. They fit great now and I ended up buying the red and brown and will get the blue ones when they come back in stock. These are so comfortable!

I originally ordered the wide in these but they were too loose and were slipping off the heel. I then ordered the medium width and they work just fine. They are comfortable and I will be ordering the other colors too. I am in the process of receiving the return label to send the other 2 pair back.

Fit and size is perfection. I use these for ballroom dance shoes because I need to use my custom orthotics which slide in nicely after I remove the insole. Cobb Hill are very lightweight and durable and I am going back again and again to this brand.

I purchased this shoe while on vacation, walking Toronto in pain. I found a local shoe store, tried on twenty different shoes and settled on this one. I soon dubbed them the Savior Shoes, because my feet no longer hurt, and I could walk the city in comfort for 2-8 miles a day that week. Since then, and having worn out the first pair from constant use when I returned home, I purchased three more pairs in black to have as backups, and two brown. I highly recommend this shoe. They are functional, really cute and the Mary Jane style provides a strap that keeps the shoe comfortably on your foot. Rockport sells similar versions to these with other names, but I always find those have something wrong with them which makes them uncomfortable. If you want a great shoe, stylish, cute, practical and comfortable, try Petra.

I bought the burgundy. It’s a good “neutral” red - not too blue, not too bright. They were fine on me right out of the box, a tad stiff but not an impediment. I wear patterned socks with these shoes which I bought in wide width. If sock-less, they might be a little loose. For me Rockport Cobb Hill is reliable.

These were comfortable right out of the box! I work in healthcare and walk around a hospital all day. These are as comfortable as my sneakers but look like dress shoes. I love these and will be buying more in other colors (they won’t be wearing out any time soon). I have a narrow foot and like a little wiggle room in the toes. These are perfect.
