Beautiful shoes. I purchased for my friend who’s from Wales. I checked the size chart and ordered the size he wears in the UK, but they were too large, especially loose in the ankle area. He said maybe half a size too large, but these shows don’t offer half sizes. Am returning shoes even tho he loves them. Will order another style, same brand, in the size he wears and see if they fit any better. We’re both disgusting these shoes didn’t work out.

Very comfortable, but as was mentioned by another reviewer, the yellow accent stitching is falling apart on the boot, which now gives this boot a cheap, sloppy look. There is still a good amount of wear left in this boot, but it looks sloppy. I still may get this boot in brown because I really like the comfort and style, but if I do, I’m keeping the receipt and box and sending them back if this happens again.

i wanted to give these shoes a few months' wear before reviewing them so i could accurately share my experience. i've been wearing them pretty regularly for about three months now, so i feel like i'm prepared to have this discussion with you today. doc martens have always been decent shoes for me, however, although sometimes i feel choosing them is taking the easy way out. these shoes in particular fit the bill pretty well though. they don't make my size 13 feet look like clown shoes, so that's a plus. doc martens are super easy to break in, in fact there is no break in process. whoever says anything about needing to break in these shoes has likely never worn a pair of actual break in-able boots or shoes. a few things i'd recommend with these shoes, should you select them: 1. get some new laces--the factory laces are about 18" too long and this ugly khaki cotton that you might see on some dad casual bowling shoe. they definitely gotta go. i opted for a short piece of black para cord, cause i don't like big floppy shoe laces. they look much nicer, and stay tied better, than the laces these shoes ship with. 2. get some boot oil--these are an oil tanned, or "greasy" leather. they have a slight coating when they roll outta the factory, but you're gonna want to keep them conditioned. conditioning them with boot oil does a few things: increases waterproofness, sustains leather... i'm not gonna go on further cause if you've read this far you obviously have a brain and can youtube search boot oil. i use red wing boot oil, cause it's what i got for my iron rangers a few years ago and one bottle of it will literally last you a lifetime if you're using it properly. a little oil every few months (i've been wearing these for three months and just oiled them for the first time last week) will go a long way to keeping the leather looking buttery supple and waterproof. added bonus: the oil will darken your shoes ever so slightly, taking them from a light, reddish brown into a very nice darker hue. all-in-all, a pretty decent all-around chukka. i've worn mine hiking, on the motorcycle, walking in town, and in the office. i walk about three miles round trip to work each day thru all kinds of gross urban gutters and these things get the job done.

They look different than the pictures, the color is more flat, with less of a sheen. They run really big, so it's hard to judge them beyond that without having them fit me properly.

Quick break in period, only reason I am putting 4 stars is because the back heel is a little stiff. Love the style and seems like a very rugged shoe!

I needed some shoes for work and didn't want to go with the whole dress shoe route so I opted for these! They are stylish enough for work, and business casual enough to where I don't look like the guy from the IT Dept. The shoe does run a bit large, and I would estimate it at a half size larger. These go great with jeans and khakis.

Good ankle boot, air sole, runs aa little larger - greater for winter boot socks.

I enjoy the style and look of these boots however the wide version of them is less easy to wear, make sure you order a size or two smaller than your street shoe size to be sure they fit.

These seemed like the right size, but my heel slipped out when I walked in them, so I had to return them. Disappointed because it's a great looking shoe.

I didn't like this one. It's annoying to me that you have to order different sizes in the same brand. I wear a 10 in Docs. Always a 10. This shoe in a 10 was gigantic. I exchanged for a 9 and those were way too small. Ridiculous. Any other brand I can just get a 10.5 and they fit fine. Docs for some reason seem to be inconsistent at times. This shoe just didn't work for me. The materials were nice though and the style is nice and simple. Maybe you'll have better luck with them.

The size I bought was the smallest size so unfortunately, I had to return these because they were too big. Annoying because the boots are great and stylish, but the range of sizes is sorely lacking especially when my normal shoe size felt half a size too big. Word of warning, the tops crease pretty easily. Otherwise a really nice shoe, just sucks about the sizing.

I usually wear a us. 12.5 but I have a very narrow foot for my length. I really liked the style and comfort of this shoe however they were just too wide in the ball and the ankle area. I would try a size smaller but then they would be too short.

Shoe is very cheaply made. They look good but are very flimsy and never sinch up around ankle. I’ve had Doc Martens for 30 years and these do not seem genuine.

Disappointing. These boots look great on-line. Never owned DocMartins so I thought I would try them. First, when they arrived they appear small overall; the soles are thin and narrow. Fit was at least 1/2 size too small. Wore them one time and realized there is no padding in the insole, so I replaced the insole. Now they are one full size too small. Also, they are narrow across the instep. (I'm a size 10 medium width). Lastly, the leather is too stiff on the sides making them feel like I was in a cardboard box.
I'd also recommend:
Catepillar brand boots (chukkah boots) have great leather, comfortable, good soles
