This is a beautiful boot. I am not having a problem with calf width -- although I have not yet tried to wear them with skinny jeans, I think it will fit. There is something about the arch support that it falls in a strange place when you first put it on, but it seems to sort of fall away as the leather adjusts to you. I found my usual size to fit like it often does in many shoes...tight in the toe box and a little wide in the heel, but I think the leather will break in. I wore them once so far for a 16-hour workday (don't ask) and I had a few sore places at the end of the day but they were already fitting more comfortably than they had that morning. I am 5'10" and it's always a struggle to find an affordable, work-appropriate boot without a huge heel. I'm pleased with this choice.

I wear size 9.5M, and have long toes and narrow heel. These boots seemed too narrow for the ball of my foot, and the toe box was too long even for my long toes. The style looks better in the photo, and there is very little support.

Love the look and feel of this leather boot. I ordered 1/2 size larger but the toe area is way too tight. So sorry I have to return these!

Love, love, love these boots! The leather is beautiful and the studs on the sides make the boots very special. The studs are almost black, so they aren't too bright. They just add a nice detail. The heel is very low which concerned me at first, but not anymore - they are extremely comfortable. The first time I wore them was to work and I work retail, so I'm on my feet all day. I got compliments all day and had no pain or sensitive areas at the end of the day. The boots aren't as tall as some I've had, but I'm short, so they work well for me. I just can't say enough nice things about these boots.

Good looking boot, soft leather, unable to zip up!

Love these boots. I have been looking for a pair of tall boots with a low heal and arch support. i ordered many others and returned them. These were amazing for the moment I put them on. Super stylish, looks great with black pants and jeans. I could feel the arch support which is great, just enough support.

Very cute and very comfortable - but decided to return because it doesn't quite fit with my wardrobe.

Incredibly comfortable and good-looking! The first day I got these, I wore them while I walked 5 miles. Zero blisters or pain. Strangers on the street in SF compliment me on them all the time. They are scuffing a bit, as expected for grey leather, but it looks like they will wear well. I have 15" calves and wear size 10, and they fit with a little room to spare over skinny jeans.

I am very happy with these boots. They are ultra comfortable, as is typical for Born with me, easy to walk in, no rubbing, no breaking in period needed. I have a modest arch and needed no extra arch support or insoles. Cushy. I got the same size I always get (8), perfect fit. I have skinny calves, but I think it would be hard to fit bulky pants in them, the shaft is pretty narrow. Mostly I wear them with tights and socks so it's OK. Got to watch out when zipping up the back not to catch your tights/socks in the zipper (hint: bend your knees while standing in them, then zip). I love the stud detail. Very nice leather although shinier than I expected. The footbed feels like a true medium width.

Lovely boot. However, with a wider calf it is almost impossible to zip up. So sad, as I would love to keep them.

The leather on this boot is so wonderfully buttery and soft. I wish my big calf could take it; alas, I guess I'm wide-calf. Fantastic quality leather & styled for dress up or casual.

I get compliments on these all the time. I was a little worries about the width of the shaft as I have large calves, but they actually stretched out within a day of wearing them and became really comfortable all around. The leather is a great quality, they are incredibly comfortable and as I said everyone tells me how great they look.

These boots are just what I was looking for in a casual boot. The fit was perfect. They are very easy to get on and off with the zipper in the back.

Gorgeous grey boot with great metal detail. Had to order 1/2 size larger so I could wear socks with them. Will take a tiny bit of breaking in the leather. Soft insole, but arch support not quite in the right place for me, but I think it will be ok.

I love these boots. The leather is super soft, however, that also makes scratches and scuffs show up more. I am trying a leather conditioner to clean them as needed and so far it's working (I did use an all weather protective spray on them before wearing them for the first time). I have thin calves and most boots are too wide at the calf for me, but these are pretty close to perfect in the calf fit. My only complaint is I have orthodics and it is taking a while for me to break the boots in with the orthodics in. Otherwise, very comfortable and stylish!

Normally wear an 8.5, found these in a store but only size 9, which I thought were great, but just that much too big. Ordered 8.5 and was disappointed that I could not zip up over my leggings. Don't want to zip over pants, but definitely need to wear those leggings to get through cold winters. I've never purchased "wide" calf before, but know it to be a challenge for me sometimes. I'm only 5'3", and it is difficult to find tall boots that don't hit the crease behind my knee in an uncomfortable way. Sadly sent these back, knowing the next size up (9) fit my calf, but not my foot, and had been a bit big in the ankle area, so when I walked it folded uncomfortably. Trying the Steve Madden Lonny next...

I really like the look of this boot. The leather was soft and felt like good quality. However, the shaft was way too narrow. I could only get it zipped up 1/4 of the way.

Very cute boot, I receive many compliments when I wear them. I thought that I would love the zipper being in the back of the boot, but it is kind of awkward to get started and pulled up. Not a big deal, but I change shoes at work all the time and my co-worker thinks its hysterical when I try and get these back on after the gym. The calf measurement is big larger than other boots, which I like when trying to wear these with skinny jeans.

These are gorgeous boots! I was hoping that the calf width would be about a ½" larger as I purchased wide calf. I have to return them with sorrow.

Beautiful leather, but the shaft height and circumference are not what is advertised. Shaft only 13 inches in height and circumference barely 15 inches at best. Will have to return.

These boots are gorgeous - I was so excited to try them on. I bought a pair of Born boots 3 years ago, and they're so comfortable. Unfortunately, this boot is not going to work for me. I have wide feet and they were so cramped in this boot (I wear size 8, and ordered 8.5 for the Larsen). I had a hard time fitting my foot in the boot so I could get the zipper up. Also, the shaft was very tight on my calves. I have to send these beauties back. I'm really bummed.

I recently bought my first pair of born boots, Azurite in a size 7 and I loved them so much I wanted another pair of Born boots so I purchased the Larsen style. First of all the circumference of the Larsen shaft is not 16" as noted in the description but a tight 15". This was not a major problem for me but could be for others. I found these boots were not true to the size 7 and fit me rather weird. The boots were tight across the instep and were loose in the heel, also as a previous review noted the arch support felt a little misplaced. The fit problem was much more pronounced in my left foot and actually hurt my foot. These boots were to me little blister and bunion makers so returned them.

I ordered these because I always want more boots and they were on sale. I wear a size 10 and have skinny feet. These were so tiny! I could barely get my feet in the 10 and barely walk. They are cute but they felt kind of thin. I was worried about the studs looking too cheap and I remain on the fence about the look and construction of those. I ended up returning. I've noticed Born's sizing has gone wacky lately. Sizing is smaller than usual.
