Not what they used to be. Black color is waxy and cheap looking.

I got these for my husband and they're exactly what he wanted and loves them.

Pants look great and have plenty of insulation, took them out skiing a few times and they are great so far. I am very disappointed with the sizing. I am 5'8"n 165lbs and i have always worn a size 30/30 pant, i ordered a medium and they were huge on me. The waist was a nice fit, a little roomy, but the length was for someone six inches taller and they were so baggy I could have used them to parachute out of an airplane. I sent them back and ordered a small, never in my lift have i fit into a small, but i do with north face. Waist is tight but i am out of shape - something i can change. Overall i would say read the sizing chart very carefully and have a tape measure for yourself ready.

I ordered a size large and they were a little snug so I returned them. The overall construction of the pants was solid. I also prefer side zippers on the pant legs for ease of getting boots on and off.

Perfect thickness for California skiing. They're insulated enough to keep you warm and provide some padding without before too hot

Very comfy pants. Little larger than expected

Wore for first time and these pants (at least the pair I got) are definitely not waterproof. Water got through on my backside and parts of my leg. North Face refuses to allow me to return these defective pants as the tags were removed. Apparently my only option is to send them in for warranty repair which means I have to pay to ship them there.

Pants are great for winter outdoors and keeping you dry. This is an outer layer only and requires a base and/or mid layer to stay warm. Provides water and wind protection primarily. Keep this in mind when purchasing waist size to allow for extra layers.

The pocket breakdown, feel and flexibility of the material are all great. They are thin, so perfect for warmer weather skiing. Waterproof also which is great.
