Ordered these for my boyfriend for our ski trip. We love the North face so we wanted to have a completely north face ski outfit. My only complaint is the size. When using the size chart it said he was on the large end of the medium and the minimum end of the large. When we got those they were super snug so we sent them back to get a large, but the large was slightly big. The good thing though is that they have a semi-adjustable waist (with the velcro) so I think they will work. The best part about the pants is the insulation and ventilation. The insulation will surely keep him warm but if he gets to hot he can unzip the gaiter vents to cool him down! Overall awesome pant!

I wear waist size 32 pants. Previously got the Medium Anonym snow pants which fit me perfectly. This time, I ordered the Medium DryVent Fredom insulated pants. Unfortunately, these turn out to be way too big. Guess these pants fit waist size 36. For the price, the quality is good.

The pants look and feel nice but the sizing chart online said I need a M but they are a bit tight. The length was awesome but waist is tight. I haven't wore them yet so I'm hoping they stretch out or I need to lose a few pounds, ordering a larger size will make the legs longer but unfortunately I can't change the length of my legs.

The pants are high quality. Seams are well made, cuts are precise. However the orange color is disappointing. It's very "vintage" orange. Looks fade. The pants size too big. The North Face size finder tool, based and my actual Levi's jeans size, told me to get L and that's what I ordered. I had to return it and get a M. Which is still too big and too long. This standard fit looks more like a relaxed one actually.

The pants look great but I had return them back. I ordered them regarding to the size chart but did not work well. Anyway I can still say that it woths to buy if you have a chance to try in a TNF store before ordering.

I'm 6'4", 240, in good shape, and finding clothes that fit right can be challenging. So using the sizing tool, I was predicted to wear an XXL Long. That didn't seem quite right, so I went with XL Long - it was like I was a kid wearing his dad's pants - incredibly long and huge in the waist to the point they would slide right out without unbuttoning. And the elastic around the ankles would fit around my thigh. So I tried a Large Regular - the length is nice, good fit at the waist, but the elastic on the ankles is still huge. Even with a winter boot/ski sock, it would still be huge. And I really don't want snow getting up into the pants. I really wanted to like this pants - I have a TNF jacket I love - and the build and material seems excellent (hence the 2 stars). But the fit just is not right, especially that elastic around the ankles. Maybe they work for some or most people, but they just don't work for me.

The sizes are too generalized. I bought the short and they were still too long and baggy in the legs. I'm 5' 9"

Asphalt gray is practically black, but looks good. Material feels high quality, waterproof and strong. Level of insulation feels good for those like me who only want to own one pair of ski pants and will ski utah, colorado, etc. a few times Dec-Mar. Will be warm enough with a base layer on very cold days, and with vents open, not too bad on warm days (maybe a little warm). My gripe is that these are very baggy - I'm 6'3", 190, 34-inch waste - I ordered a large per the clever sizing tool's instruction, and I'm swimming in these. Regular sizing chart says I may be a medium, but given how huge/baggy the L is, I'm not even going to bother. Regular length was okay. While some may prefer the baggy look, I'm returning and looking for a trimmer cut.

I bought these for a trip I am planning to Antartica. had to return the pants as the size was way too big, almost 2-3 times my normal medium.

Bought a pair of these that ripped the very first day of use. Upon returning to the store with this defective product I have been met with nothing but hostility and subpar customer service from both the employees of the north face at the providence place mall and the warranty department over the phone. While at the store an employee claimed this was normal wear and tear because the rip occurred where a ski boot binding clicks. Really? After one day? That's the kind of product quality you put out? I have had other ski pants that do not have a single tear after years of use, and these rip on the first day. Par for the course according to the north face. Done with North Face for good. Keep making inferior products, consumers love that.
