I use these for snowboarding and they're really comfortable. I just wish they weren't too baggy.

Best pants yet.. all around I love everything about them. Also I really like how they just come up on the back. Now I don't have to worry when I put my boot into the binding. My old pants hung to low and would always get caught in the binding.

I am 6'0 tall, 190 pounds and I wear a 33 inch waist. Very athletic build. The Medium/Medium fits me like a glove. I live in Nova Scotia and take being warm pretty seriously hahaha. The first day I got them I took my dog for a walk in -15 weather and I was blown away at how warm and comfortable I was. I just finished walking in a snow storm and did some shovelling and came back in and I was completely dry. I would only request a way of tightning the part that goes over your boots. Create a nice seal.

Warm but not too hot! Love the long length! Usually longs are still to short for me but not these!

I bought these pants in preparation for a winter camping trip in February. I had the opportunity to put them to the test last weekend. I'm 5'10" - 150lbs. Went with the Medium and they fit just great with a bit of room for me to bulk up over the years these pants will surely last. Tested them out over 2 consecutive days of -20C weather (-27C with windchill) They are comfortable, warm and cosy. Good construction. The vents on the inner thigh could be better located to allow more intake but, far from a dealbreaker for me. May not be ideal Mid-Late spring since they are quite warm but hey - we get 6 months of winter over here so, I'll be able to stretch it a bit. I got the Asphalt Grey to go with my black Apex Storm 3 in 1 jacket, look great together. I will leave additional comments once I get back from winter camping but I doubt my opinion have changed. Great purchase - Would definitely recommend

The best snowboarding pants I've used. Warm but breathable and all around comfortable. Felt great with a thin base layer in freezing conditions.

I was originally not interested in the "insulated" Freedom pant option, as I was worried they would be too bulky. They turned out to be very comfortable and more than enough for what I need while snowboarding in NE Washington and North Idaho. I'm short (5'10") and like to work out which has increased my weight (208 lbs.) and found that the Large size fit best around my waist while tightening the provided velcro waistline. The Regular length fit just a bit too long on my legs, so I opted for the Short and couldn't be more thrilled with the fit. They were not available at the storefront in Spokane, so I ordered them online and was SO glad that I did. I wear the North Face Freedom Insulated pant and North Face NFZ jacket. I consider myself an aggressive rider and all I need to wear beneath each is a simply base layer (temps of 20-35 what I usually ride in). Very pleased with the quality of my North Face gear!

Went to Brianhead, UT where the weather was 10 degrees fahrenheit. These pants held up really well. I did not even need a base layer. I even got a little too warm at times. They are really comfortable and am really happy with my purchase. These look like they will hold up for many more snow trips to come.

These pants are better than I expected. I've only had them for about 2 months, but I've taken them skiing about 15-20 times so far and I'm very pleased with the performance. These were a gift to replace my old pair of snow pants, which were comfortable and warm but once you get that "vent" (my word) / "hole" (my gf's word) in the crotch it really might be time to replace them. Now the pants... Size: I am 6'5" and have a ~33" inch waist & inseam is about 35". I was a bit hesitant to order Medium-Long and be afraid the waist would be too small and the pant legs would be tight or not long enough. This size was perfect for me. The length is maaaybe an inch shorter than I'd like but this might be a good thing so I don't tear up the end of the pant legs on my bindings. I skiied thru fresh powder and the straps at the end of the pant legs stayed snug against my boots and didnt let any snow in. The waist was a little bigger than I thought which is nice. I don't think I'll need to layer up with these warm pants but if I needed to there is room. Also you can adjust the velcro straps on the waist if you need space to tuck in undershirts or whatever suits you. Warmth: I wore these pants in -10F (wind chill with winds gusting over 30MPH) and did not wear an additional layer. It was a little chilly but I had closed the vents and was definitely not freezing. I was getting a bit warm when the temps hit mid 30s but it wasn't uncomfortable. Leaving the thigh vents open were helpful to allow some airflow. If you're a CA skier, keep this in mind during those late Spring trips to Tahoe when it tends to be on the warm side. Bottom line, would I recommend this to a friend? I already have and he's worn them everytime we've headed up the mountain.

These are great pants. Buy the long if you are tall. TNF clothes tend to run short. The Med Long has a 34" inseam.

These are awesome ski pants. I appreciate the warmth, great material, and functionality with multiple pockets. The vents are a plus. The insulation is soft and comfortable. Only negative is they run a little long. I purchased the medium regular (I'm 5'9). With skis on they're ok but drag on the ground a little with skis removed. Overall best ski pants I've owned.

I wore this while downhill skiing on one of Minnesota's colder days. I felt very warm and didn't feel cold at all. I love the fact it works for my short legs.

I was very lucky to have help from a staff member at NF. Unfortunately, there was no short/large size in women's pants. I had to resort to a men's short/medium. I would expect NF to restock their pants when this size is sold out in 3 different types of pants.
