I bought these mainly for winter hiking. I was hoping for more of a slimmer fit. These are pretty baggy from the thigh down, which would be great if I was skiing or snowboarding. The baggier fit makes it great for movement and makes it easy to fit the legs over ski boots. But when I'm hiking with these on, it just feels cumbersome. I All I hear is the swishing of pant legs rubbing together. I wish TNF would cater more to the hiking community. So many of their products are geared toward the winter and extreme sports crowd. Not everyone is tearing up the slopes or hanging from granite rock ledges.

High quality materials and well made

I currently have two new pair of Northface Freedom insulated pants. I use them for alpine skiing. Previously, I had one of the first pair that Northface put on the market several years ago. The new pair replaced the old pair. The freedom pants are the only one I consider for skiing in Colorado. They provide incredible warmth even while sitting on a lift chair. Wind proof and water proof and now Northface has come out with great colors opposed to the traditional black or gray. Bottom line exceptional material and quality.

My son loved. He was complimented a lot while snow boarding.

Great insulation for Ski.

I had high hopes, wanting to finally replace my worn out Summit Series pants. Fit true to size. Disappointed by the size and material of the ski/boot protection Area, smaller than previous TNF pants. Also I was not impressed with the material Of the pants, seemed cheaper and less robust than Summit Series. I never tried the pants outside, so I could be wrong about the functionality. Not what I'm Looking for.

Perfect for snowboarding stay warm and dry. Very comfortable and light weight! Would recommend

Very comfortable and warm for playing in the snow. Easily adjustable with side Velcro. Great pants for hanging out or doing snow sports

I haven't these yet but they seem very warm. I love that they come short regular long make a huge difference. I got a large and they fit comfortably with a pair of sweatpants underneath.

Pants are fantastic, comfortable and warm. The "blue" is unfortunately more purple in person then the picture shows. I was disappointed in the color

Grandson's were very excited to have these snowpants...they both love them as they have the inner thigh vents.....

Sleek style and great performance. Stayed warm hour after hour, with plenty of give for movement. At 5'7" my only wish would have been to get the short fit as regular is just a little too long.
