I gave it as present to my son for his trip to Tahoe. He liked it very much and said it kept him warm and dry.

Great ski pants for spring skiing. Could comfortably wear a base layer underneath as well for colder days without the pants looking too baggy. Kept out both heavy sleet and snow, with nice vents on the inside of the legs as well.

I've now owned a couple of pairs of the Freedom Pants for snowboarding. The only reason I bought a new pair is to fit my growing waistline lol. Even for a non-insulated pant, they helped keep me very warm in 15 deg F weather. I'm a beginner/intermediate snowboarder who still take a few falls. These kept my dry the whole time. I'm also a fan of the fit. They had plenty of room to stay flexible and to layer up when necessary. I'll wear these until they wear out ( a few seasons for me) and then i'll definitely buy again!

The Freedom pants are great. Only problem is the Large/Short size is a bit on the long side for my inseam. I have a 34-35" haist and a 29-30" inseam and the short length in large are a bit too long. The medium/short length were a perfect length for me, however, they were a bit tight around the middle. I understand I have short stubby legs and realize that a short length in large needs to be longer than a short length I'm medium (TNF needs to make a product that fits most people and it is not their fault that I really like IPAs and should normally fit in a medium /short). With ski boots, the lengrh is good. I just roll them up when walking in my normal shoes so I don't fray the bottoms.

Wore these for a few days of skiing and they were perfect. True to size, exactly what I was expecting. Fit well, didn't get too hot and had a few pockets which was nice.

I bought these for my husband who is 6'5" with an athletic build and generally has trouble finding clothes that are long enough. The tall size fit perfect, the length was great without being baggy. The pants are easy to move around in and worked great for skiing and hiking through trails in snow shoes. Highly recommended.

This is a nice, fairly lightweight shell for skiing. It is one of the few high-performance pants that's available in a short at a reasonable price.
Only a couple of complaints: the zippered vents are on the inside of the thighs which means they are usually blocked by my big thighs.
For some reason the cut protection patch on the bottom of the pants only covers the back half of the inside leg. I had to throw my last shell because it had cuts all over the area not protected by the patch. Not sure why they couldn't just cover the whole inside of the leg.

Used these pants in Idaho while skiing, hiking, sledding and snowmobiling. They were very comfortable and never got wet or cold. I like the pockets and breathable features. I would buy again.

Love the relaxed fit look and feel on these. The waist band has plenty of options for fit also so you can adjust depending on the number of layers for the day. The color is fire!

This is a snow pant that could be a good technical and rain pant— except that the leg opening is very wide to accommodate a ski boot. The interior gator is also very wide. Strangely there is no ankle zipper or Velcro closure. Also maybe narrow in the waist for a large, for some. Otherwise a nice design.

Phenomenal product used them while snowboarding during a snowstorm. Stayed dry and warm during the entire time on the mountain.

It's nice to have a pair of snow pants I love. I specifically sought out the uninsulated version, because I prefer the ability to layer as needed... I use them for various tasks in the snow at home or for the occasional ski trip to an east coast resort, so I don't need the extra insulation at all times like some colder climate folks might.
I like the pocket locations/functionality, and my favorite aspect is the zippered vents in the legs - I can run really warm, so this is a huge plus for me.

Love these pants once I got them in the correct length. I needed the medium/short. It's nice to have a pair of ski pants that don't drag all over the floor without my ski or snowboard boots on!

Skied several times in pants so far and they feel great. Allowed enough movement to tackle all terrain on the ski hill.

I was looking for a tan colored ski pant that wasn't too expensive in large size, slim fit, and short inseam. The freedom pant in British Khaki was the closest pant I could find that fit that criteria from The North Face. They performed well the few times I have worn them although I wish the color was a little lighter but I think the picture accurately shows the shade of khaki. They are little more expensive than what I think they should be but hopefully they will last and perform. The fit was good as far as length and waist. A little baggy but these are regular fit and not slim which I was looking for. They allow for base layer and range of movement. These were replacing a 4 year old pair of TNF pants that I still love and wear that were just too baggy and long.
