I use these pants for skiing, snow shoveling and in the summer to stay dry in rainy weather. The length selections are only short, regular and long. I purchased the short length given the sizing guide instructions. When I received them I tried them on and found that I had to hem them to keep them from dragging on the ground. There are only three belt loops instead of five, so that they do not stay in place at the waist. They have added velcro adjustments on the sides and a velcro patch where the front snap is. The velcro scratches the skin badly. They have used recycled material which I can do myself if I shop for clothes at a used clothing store. If I had not hemmed them before using them, I would have returned them.

These pants are well made! They perform as they are described. However, they are a little long.

Like the brick red color. The fitting is good but wish there were some bottom straps

I don't snowboard or ski but these pants have been a dream walking my dog through a foot of snow. It has kept me warm and it blocks out the wind. I wear a thermal and sweats underneath and it keeps me warm and dry. I love the brick red color. The waist is adjustable so a belt isn't really needed unless you do plan on partaking in snow sports.

Just the right amount of loose. Perfect layer of insulation. Warm but you can still move. And they look good !

Fantastic pants. Put them to use immediately during the big snow storms that hit the Sierras in December.
The fit is perfect.

My husband was gifted with this pair of pants for Christmas and it kept him real warm and dry in the freezing Bismarck weather so I ended up buying the same exact one for my brother. We all went to ski last week, and both my husband and my brother brought the pants with them. Unfortunately, we found a hole in my husband's pants on the second day of skiing and it was a shame because it's only the fourth time he wore it.

Like the pant. It's a good fit, and even though it is not an insulated model, it is still pretty warm, at least at twenties.
A couple of improvements I would like - a reinforced boot cuff and removable suspenders.

These fit great, are flexible, plenty of pockets, and seem very waterproof. Wore them skiing yesterday, was warm and dry. Run large, I got one size smaller than normal so they were more fitted and less baggy.

Purchased this for my son. It fit true to size, but he felt that the legs were too wide. Bought size S. He is 5'6", 130 lbs. Ultimately, he went with a different pair he liked better, so we returned this one.

My teenage son is tall and thin. Size small tall was perfect! The pants are lightweight and kept him warm while skiing in Maine.

I wear these pants snowshoeing in the UP (upper peninsula) of Michigan and they work perfectly! Loved them so much I bought a pair of the insulated ones!

I use this pant to as a ski patroler in IOWA - Yes, IOWA.
The fabric has to be tough, windproof, and waterproof to survive the brutal Mount Crescent peak where temperatures in January can range from -20 below zero to upwards of 50 degrees.
A whole new meaning arises in Iowa when one speaks of skiing "corn."
The North Face Freedom Pant has what it takes to get any skier at any expertise to the next level of experience whatever the conditions may bring!
