Great stylish boots that are true to size. They are nice for hikes and casual wear. The only con is they are not as warm as thought, but are waterproof so it's helpful in the snow.

I love these boots. I bought them in Jan 2016 and wore them majority of the time. Great for dog walking at the park in the high grass. They held up well in these 4 years. These are not made to be heavy duty. Think of them as a more rugged pair of sneakers. The sole recently separated from the boot. Gorilla glue could fix this, but they are going to become my backup pair. I am about to buy a new pair.

I have worn these shoes everyday for two months. They have broken in for my wide feet after a week of daily wear. They have kept their stylish top condition look through salt and snow in Minnesota. One drawback is their topmost hooks are too near the upper cuff. So the laces ride higher than the tongue if lacing them from below and tiring off above. Consequently I do the opposite. I wish the hooks bit the laces better as well. I would buy them again.

Very impressed with these boots. They are warm, stylish and very comfortable. I use them for suburban and urban walking, walking my dogs and clearing driveway snow. I am suprised at how warm they are. I would definitely recommend them. Two cautions. First, they run a bit small. I wear a 10, had to get these in a 10.5. Second , the tongue is short. This is not a big deal but North Face, suggest you add a half inch to the tongue. Bottom line - these boots are wonderful and highly recommended.

Great shoe overall. Super light and comfortable, but also durable and moderately good in wet conditions. The shoe runs almost a full size large, so I had to return the first pair and size down, but that was the worst thing that happened to me that day, so life is still much better than I deserve. Excellent customer service from Zappos, as always.

Have had these boots for a year (prev model) and am looking to get another pair because they have held up very well for my go-to boots - with normal wear plus a bit of chipping on the rand - but that's with wearing them almost every day, including hikes, camps, climbs, yard work, etc. It snows in Sea recently and I discovered what most did, and that they leak and the leak appears to be not on the leather or stitching but on the sole somewhere. I'm still considering getting another pair because they've been awsm, but will look around for other options first. I do recommend these.

I've just bought a new BACK-TO-BERKELEY REDUX LEATHER BOOTS (black). Comfortable and stylish for sure. But they looked more shiny and blackier on the website. Also : the size (9 US) altough the same that my old boots seems half too big. Strange to say the least... Yes: the shoelaces are too long. Yes: they don't have a breathable liner and it's a problem... Nothing's perfect! Not without flaws, but really satisfactory!

These boots keep my feet warm and dry on the bike ride to work, they look great also. I've got several compliments on them. I can only say two bad things about them and one is really minor. First the laces are way to long from the factory. The second is that these run a half size to big.

I normally don't write reviews but, I always look for them when buying. It has been about 5 months since buying. I am a big guy 6'2 285. I work on concrete all day these shoes took about, 4 days to break in and man they are comfortable. They were nice at first but now, I like wearing them more than my tennis shoes. On thing I don't like about them is my feet get hot they are not breathable, but are waterproof!! So can't really expect much more out of a shoe. Great job north face will buy these again

These are good, comfortable boots. Like the blue color very much. I would buy them again. Had a bit of a problem with initial fit but swapped in some supplemental arch supports ("Super Feet") and that solved things. Have been through pretty deep slush with no moisture problems. Have also been through real cold stuff with no feet chill. My one complaint - North Face is marketing Winter Grip outer soles with Ice Pick lugs. I like the idea but the execution left me, well, cold (sorry). It's not a lie like "smoking is good for your health" but after a recent ice storm I found exactly, precisely no difference in grip from my old, ordinary winter boots. I still slipped around like crazy and almost planted myself backward once or twice. Writing as a retired one, I say beware the slogans of the marketing man.

Any recommendations on how to pre-treat the leather would be very helpful and much appreciated. Such as what products I should apply to the leather before I wear them out in the snow and salt to help protect from stains and water intrusion. Thanks!

I haven't had these long enough to give a thorough review but I really like the boots so far. I would recommend these to anyone in need of a good boot in this style. I will update this review once I put some miles on them.

Great boots with a few caveats. Pros: - Build quality, they are well made and durable - waterproof - great looking - extremely comfortable (I have a wide left foot and these fit no problem). - relatively light, all the benefits of a boot with the comfort of a sneaker. Con (only one): - they are marketed as breathable, but my feet sweat in them every wear. they are warm.

The boots are pretty stylish and comfortable. The water resistant\proof function seems to work perfectly well. The materials are of a g=highest grade. However, the membrane seems to be not really good - the moisture is accumulating in the boot and sometimes when you take it off you have pretty wet socks. Also the boots did not pass the test of a -20 C frost - it took my feet ~15 minutes outdoors to become cold. Anyway I would definitely recommend these boots to everyone living in the areas with moderate winters.

Love these boots. Great style. A great casual but sturdy winter boot. I bought these for my husband so he wouldn't have to freeze in sneakers during the colder weather. And not have to wear clunky boots if there is some snow on the ground. We bought the size 13 and they were almost a full size too large. Exchanging for a 12 - hope they fit!

I like the style of the boots. They are warm when walking on the snow. They may be too warm for mild winters though.
