These shoes are well made, but the leather is not quite as soft or "broken-in" as it is in some other Keen shoes. The collar around the opening is a bit stiff, and when new rubs against the ankle there. Sole support is adequate, not great. The fit is wide. Definitely wide. The toe-box might be too roomy for some feet, and there may be some heel slippage. With breaking in, and (for most people) appropriate adjustments made for width (like in-soles + thicker socks or sizing down by about 1/2 a size, they make very good urban walking shoes for cool weather. Buy with open eyes, and you'll do fine with these.

Leather is too stiff. Wider than other Keen shoes i've purchased.

Another well constructed shoe from KEEN! You may need to order at least one half size to a full size smaller since this show runs larger than marked. Zappos makes buying shoes a pleasure once again!

I have been wearing this shoe for over 20 years and the width seems narrower. would not fit by feet.

I was very excited about these shoes when purchased and couldn't wait for the delivery. Out of the box, they looked better that the image on the site. I put them on and they fit perfectly. No problem for my wide feet. The toe box has plenty of room. I do a lot of walking at my job on mostly concrete floors. These shoes are very comfortable. I sometime can walk up to six mile while at work and my feet never felt tired. The only problem I ran into is there is a slit that has developed just below the stitching on the left side of the left shoe. Almost as if it ripped from the perforation in the leather from stitching. Only having them for twelve months this was disappointing to me. But with Zappos outstanding customer service and return policy I am able to get a full refund. I won't buy this shoe again only because they are out of my size, but I am definitely getting a pair of Keens.

These shoes look very well built. I look forward to wearing them daily. Caveats: One: These shoes do take a serious breaking-in to be comfortable. Two: They are also stiffer than the other pair of Keen I have. The third thing is the shoelaces are too slippery so the standard knot slips undone way too easily. I cope by pulling the knots really hard and tuck under the forward rung to keep them secure. (I think I will replace them with longer fabric laces.)

Got these after reading loads of glowing reviews. Very disappointed. Firstly they are a full lace up and the laces control the shoe completely. Also the color is very "muddy" darker than expected. The quality looks great but the fit was disappointing.

I wanted to like this shoe but the toe box was enormous. Felt like my feet were swimming, may want to order a half size down.

i wanted to like this pair so much to stomp thru the snow, excellent leather-lined which is rare these days, solid chunky look etc, great tread, but the sides, the collar around the shoe i guess you could call it, would dig up into the ankles w/ stiff leather and wear away at the ankle skin to the point of abrasions and pain...had to stop wearing them after 1 long day of walking in pain. the sole is also quite stiff and so it's more like a clog i guess where it is easy to "walk out" of the shoe. especially since the laces are so short, hard to pull tighter to lace. but the collar thing, that was the big problem. i tried some suggestions on line regarding other shoes about putting 1 or 2 (i used 2) levels of gel heel supports like from doctor scholls under the footbed liner of this shoe (to raise the back of the foot up) and this seemed to give some extra clearance for the ankle versus the high sides of the shoe, but then this is no longer a minimal "drop" type of shoe, it's like you have elevator shoes or something? i dont know...kind of strange. so yeah, not as good as i had hoped. maybe i'll get used to the elevator effect? i have now, and have worn to shreds, other keens which were much better.

This is my second pair of these and something has changed. Immediately upon wearing them developed some kind of pain at the top of my foot. Previous pair never did that nor do the Boston’s that I have either. Totally unwearable.
