I purchased the NB 813 since the NB 812 was no longer available. The difference, to me, was the 812 was produced in USA. I do not like the 813, it does not have the same feeling as the 812. I am still wearing the 812 over the 813. It is a different shoe.

I have always preferred NB to other brands, but the 813 with the loop & Velcro straps are not as form fitting or as comfortable. Both pair cause pain in the small toe of my right foot, whereas my laced NB shoes do not.

I ordered the extra wide sneaker but the are not very comfortable. Not cushiony , if that's a word.

The shoe could have offered more support.

They were good at first but the soles are stiff. Don't seem the same as they used to be

I had read some reviews that said that the 813s were a low cost replacement for the 928v3 model.
Well, not even close. I wish they'd continue the 928 line. Pricey, but exceptional quality

Arrived with a velcro strap that was folded back over the shoe. Although I attempted to straighten the strap, it remains curled up, which is extremely unsightly. I am very unhappy with the lack of quality control prior to boxing up the shoes.

I have owned New Balance shoes for decades, most notably every incarnation of the 990 running shoe and some others. These days I mainly use the shoes for walking. I was excited to get New Balance walking shoes to wear everyday with jeans. When I tried these on, I had difficulty getting the right shoe to feel comfortable. I finally noticed that the tongue on the right shoe was sewn in such a way that it curled even with extra effort trying to prevent it. The left shoe did not have this defect. So, I returned the shoe without ever wearing it.

I am a 2 wide and these newbalance are a little too wide from ,the other new balance 928v3. I love the 928v3 they are perfect I have been buying them every year since they made them ,I use them for work, but the new balance 813 not that great but the best part of the 813 nb. Is the shoes laces , they should put better shoes laces on the 928v3 cause the stink , they don't stay tied , and a lot of people are saying the same , stop being cheap new balance I will pay 50 cents more for better laces the new balance 823 not that comfortable on a scal 1-5 I score them a 2 1/2amd that's because the laces are high quality great laces that stay laced all day, again put those laces on the 928v NB.

The toe box of this shoe fits my square feet perfectly. The problem is the 13 mm drop is a deal breaker. My heel felt like it was coming out of the back of the shoe. The instep is too low as well. I wear orthotics and the top of my feet near the ankle hurt after wearing these. If they had more depth they would be perfect.

My husband has been wearing these shoes for over 10 years. I bought him a new pair and the sides of the soles are tinted lavender. I returned them and purchased another just to find out the new pair is the same!

I have had more than one pair of these and the glue fails, the upper separates or the tread comes off. They are a trip hazard when this happens.

The quality of New Balance continues to decline. If I could find another shoe cmanufacturer that makes a narrow shoe, I would stop buying NB shoes.

I've worn these for a couple of weeks, and they still make noise with every step. They ae not as comfortable as the 577 (which, unfortunately, were not available in my size).

Feels like it's made with cheap materials, I don't see them lasting very long. Way ever priced.

Supposed to be a walking shoe. It feels like I'm walking bare foot.

Have used this shoe since the 810 version. Walk 15-30 miles per week and in the past have used the loop lacing method at the top of laces (this helps with keeping the heel snug). Well on both a new pair of 813 purchased in Dec. (not true on a 12 month old pair of 813 I have that is worn out - thus can compare the shoes side by side) they have shortened the tongue by 3/8-1/2 inch and if the top lace hole is used than the laces want to work off the end of the tongue onto the top of foot. Loop lacing method is out of the question which really is a pain. The same is true of the 928 model also purchased in Dec.

they are made a little strangely. There is no band around the laces and the gap between the laces is larger than usual for a 4E, the toe is rounder which is good for a wide foot, but looks a bit strange.

I only buy NB shoes because they are the very best for my feet. The 10-D always fits me perfectly
Men's 813 Hook & Loop are comfortable and a great fit, but loops are too long and the overall style isn't as nice as the Men's 577 Hook & Loop. I bought the Men's 813 Hook & Loop because I needed the light gray color. Sure wish NB made the Men's 577 Hook & Loop in the light gray color and hope NB considers it at some point. Please consider it.

Nice looking shoes, the silver color is a bit odd, straps too long, look funny.

I have had NB for a long time starting with 925's. They were identified as good for high instep with a wide ball and narrow heel. The were great. Over the years the 925 gave way to newer models each with less comfort for my foot's high instep. The latest iteration the throat has less and less material making the tongue exposed with very little under the eyelets. And the area across the foot where the tongue attaches at the base of the throat is not as wide/high as in the 925 shoe. The 925 lasts must have been abandoned. Unless you can direct to a shoe that works, I am afraid I will have to look to other sources to find shoes that fit properly.

Been wearing new balance for over 20 years these were very tight across the top of my feet where the laces begin and I have slim feet for a d. The soles were very hard nothing like any other shoe I have purchased in the past. Wore them 1 time what a waste of money. Still my fault I guess never buy shoes on line even if you are very familiar with the brand.
