Bought this product to replace model 811 which was the most comfortable shoe I've worn. Unfortunately New Balance no longer makes model 811. The 813 is close but I've been spoiled. Compared to the model 811, the model 813 rates only four stars.

For a clumsy oaf like me, the NB hook and loop shoes are great everyday wear. What costs them a star as that for the same size they feel narrower than the previous version.

Use the shoes for work, thought they would be more padding. I walk 10k to 20k steps a day. I think within three months, I gonna gave to insert insoles.

These shoes run WIDE and LONG. They look nice and are a nicely built shoe but next time I would order a size 10 instead of 11 and the standard width instead of wide. I have worn 11 single wide for years and ordered per my history. That is the problem you run into when ordering on line instead of trying them on first....

The first order we received was the wrong size. When I spoke to the New Balance agent he was very helpful. They would send the correct size and lower the price because of the mistake. He also emailed me a return shipping label. The new order arrived and fit fine. However, I mailed the first order almost two weeks ago and my account has not yet been credited.

I have to replace shoes often after 1991 and on a retirement income the price is right

I've had mixed results with NB shoes, the widths are NOT consistent. These shoes are wide enough, so I'm happy with them, but remain skeptical about NB consistency on widths.

I have been a New Balance shoe wearer for almost 25 years. I was recommended by my podiatrist. I continue to wear them exclusively. However, I hope they start making them in beige, black and the first color I purchased... GRAY. Please get them in these colors in my size soon!!!

Really comfortable light weight shoes. Looks to be quality made.

Shoes fit just right and shipped quicker than expected

Laces don't stay tied. Never had this type on NB shoes before. After getting new laces, shoes are great.

Fits good and is for the most part comfortable, though seems to lack a bit in support. We'll see if it passes the test of time as I use them for work shoes and have only had them for a few weeks

Because of my husband's large feet he has a hard time finding shoes his size. Saw these and ordered. He likes very much, makes his feet look smaller, and very easy to wear.

I liked the kind of shoes New Balance was making in the past - better than what they are making today. These shoes, 813 - well, leather is not supple or not supple enough, in my opinion. I am going to return these shoes which I bought. They are okay in the toe box, but too wide for me in the back of the foot. This, however, is not the fault of the shoes, but the "fault" of my feet, I think. I have and use sometimes a pair of shoes made by New Balance in the middle of 1990s, in the USA, and they look and feel better (to me and for me). Probably these 813 are good as work-shoes, but they are not for me.

Purchased for Christmas! so shoes have not been worn yet.

I would eliminate the elastic that holds the Velcro straps and connect directly to the shoe.

Good fit, support for my 14 1/2 narrow diabetic feet except for a little wide at ball of foot (no 14 1/2 available, need 15 for toe clearance). Laces don't run close enough to ball of foot to tighten up over ball of foot, so I am hoping a different insole can reduce left-right movement at the ball of the foot. A5500 diabetic code shoes. Good price/value. Mens.

3 months, 900 miles, failed bottom sole (leaks), tricky tensioning of laces, insoles uncomfortable not fit for sustained walking, bottom soles could be improved by increasing both thickness and hardness, everything else perfect.

Daily wear walking the halls in the hospital I work in for IT support. The shoe is wider than the 4E that I have always purchased and the area for the ball of the foot doesn't have much cushioning that the 928's I normally buy. Having to pay these prices for decent footwear just shouldn't happen.

I'm diabetic and this style design will accommodate my foot and my insert.

These are a Christmas gift for my husband. It is the only one he wears daily. However he has a wide foot and wears a 10 4E.. It doesn't give a choice of width so I chose the widest it looked like I could order. This may have been a mistake as box says 6E. Now I'm concerned they will not fit. A clearer description of the width sizes woul have prevented this. White Shoe itself is great style for him.

I have always enjoys New Balance shoes. They are comfortable and a great shoe.
