Size and fit and comfort perfect! Need 4E width and couldn't find that at Amazon, so went from A to Z and found it at Zappo's! My place for shoes from now on.

This is my third pair of these velcro-tied shoes. I purchased my first pair at a New Balance store, and the two later pairs at Zappos, in the same size. All three pairs have been extremely comfortable and they have served as my everyday shoes. The velcro straps are great, especially for older men such as me.

Size and width is true. I usually have a hard time with the width, but these were great.

As I recuperate from right elbow surgery I have the use of only my left hand. This closure design and the ease in which my foot slips into the shoe allows me to put these on one handed. And, once they’re on, they’re very comfortable!

Am I glad to have found these! My husband is so fussy and forever complaining about sneakers! He seems to always go to Wal-Mart and buy the cheapest ones he can find! Well no more. These sneakers have solved my problem. He loves them and swears he will never wear anything else. No more Wal-Mart! Thanks be to God! They look great on him, not like an old man's shoe. I used to call his old ones "Herman Munster" shoes. I definitely recommend these. He still has his velcro but they don't "date" him like the other ones. I ordered a pair in black too. The fit is marvelous as he has flat feet therefore they are wide. When he walks, he says it's like walking on air. He said they even feel like a "healthy" thing to wear. Go figure! Hope this helps. I got them on sale which made the deal even sweeter...

Loose fit in 4E width, will replace with shoes not quite so wide. Straps are wide and stiff compared with other similar NB shoes. Gray color looks darker than in the photo.
