I have owned and loved several pairs of Women's Ecco Soft 7 sneakers. However, the last 3 that I purchased through Zappos all have a much lower quality leather and are just not comfortable. I contacted Ecco directly and they said that is just standard variation due to different manufacturers. Unfortunately, that seems to mean that some of the same style/model sneakers are just not anywhere as comfortable as others. Very disappointing because the previous more comfortable versions have been lifesavers for someone like me who has had multiple foot surgeries.

I have had my white leather Soft 7s for about five years now. Love the fit and classic style. I have very high arches, and find these almost offer enough support — my feet do get tired after a lot of walking. My main objection is that they are not a true white, more of an off-white. The laces especially have a yellowish cast, which makes the whole look kind of dingy. For this reason, I recently replaced them with a different brand, Cariuma, which is heavier and did not offer significantly better arch support, but is a brighter white. Fingers crossed I get as much use from them as I have the Soft 7s.

I was looking for a pair of white sneakers and I really liked these. They looked terrific on and were exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, they were a tiny bit too narrow for my size 10 medium width feet. This is often the case for me with Ecco shoes. But I find that the fit varies throughout the various colors, so I might have found a pair that actually fit if I had tried other colors, but I wanted white. I also don't feel that they were at all "soft," and don't get the name. The leather was rather hard and the interior of the shoe felt particularly hard in the upper part beneath where the grommets are located. I tried loosening the laces as much as possible, and that did help some, but the shoes still pressed on my feet enough to feel uncomfortable after a short time. The footbed was comfortable. I did try replacing it with the thinner Superfeet Carbon insole with arch support and that gave me more room, but the shoe somehow didn't feel right on so in the end I regretfully sent them back.

These shoes are really cute, but there was a hard lump or seam that pressed painfully onto my big toe joint in the left shoe. I also think they're probably just a tiny bit too narrow - something I often have a problem with in Ecco shoes. I bought the white ones and was surprised that they were almost a cool, blue gray rather than the white I was expecting. But because I liked them so much, I decided to try again, so I re-ordered them hoping I would get a pair without the lump. The second pair came and the lump was in a slightly different spot and didn't bother me. I was also really surprised that the color (again ordered in white) was completely different. This time they were a really pretty, soft, creamy white with no hint of blue or gray. Yay! But, the eyelets on the left shoe don't quite line up with each other while the eyelets on the right shoe are fine. Boo! This really bothers me because at this price point the shoes should not be defective. Actually, at any price point whatever you're buying should not be defective! What happened to quality control? Terrible.

Love ECCO shoes. This one does run large but I'm not sure the size down would fit. Had to return.

I’ve purchased this Ecco shoe before but this size 9 fit smaller in length. The leather was the usual good quality and the brown (nice color) was darker in than appeared online. Sorry to have to return them.

I wanted to like these. I purchased a size 42 which is an 11 to 11.5. I normally wear athletic shoes in a 10.5 to 11. The length was ok, but they ran narrow on my medium bony feet. They also slipped on my heels, maybe because the size was too big, but if I had gone down a size, they really would have been narrow. There was a bit of an arch support. Beautiful well made shoes, just not for my feet.

Shoe laces they came with are too short! Can't tie a bow.

Super cute shoes. They run a touch big. I’m a solid 8.5 but the 8/8.5 is a bit big. I recommend sizing down.

Unlike their golf shoes, these sneakers run small. Very cute, so I am trying a size up.

Great shoe but just too wide for my narrow foot even when the laces were pulled tight.

GREAT looking shoe and this was the second pair I purchased. However, the size I ordered was listed as 41 (US 10-10.5) but what arrived was 41 (US 10-10). This pair, unfortunately, is a tad too short and uncomfortable. So it must be returned.

My size is 9. The size 40 was too tight all over, unless insole is removed. The size 41 felt good with the insole, and overall, but was about half size too long. I used to have those shoes some years ago in size 9/40, and made several trips in them with lots of walking, and they were super comfortable, with the insole in. I guess my feet have changed. And, I guess, they feet on slimmer feet, although, I still use medium width.

I liked everything about these, except the toe box was too narrow for me. I wish they were just a little bit wider for my toes - I would have kept them.

I think these will work out nicely. I bought them for "upscale" tennis shoes in Prague. I bought the taupe size 8 and will probably change out the cream colored laces for darker ones. They support my orthotics and are a bit wider than medium width, which is good for me. The leather is stiff out of the box and the wider width causes it to slip on my heel, but heel pads have helped with that issue.

My daughter and I have worn this style of ECCO sneaker for years. The two pair that I have really needed replacement, so I picked up a white pair to replace my current white pair in my usual size 11. I was surprised that they were too big. Holding them up to the current, well worn white pair that I have been wearing for a couple of years, it was clear that the new ECCO Soft 7 is larger in the same size. I am grateful for Zappos easy return policy for sure! I’ll have to find a store that stocks these and resize, or find a new everyday sneaker. My feet can be challenging…so I literally wear the ECCO Soft 7 with everything! (ECCO I hope you have not ruined a good thing!)

A little heavy and I didn't like the color.

The tongue is very stiff and comes up too close to my leg , it immediately hurt.

I really like this shoe so I ordered both the white and the powder colors. However, the footbed under the toes and ball of foot is formed very uncomfortably for my feet. So I am returning.

Good adjustability for a low- volume foot, which is hard to find in a water-ready sport sandal. Very happy with the secure fit and comfortable footbed.

It is too big.

Buying for trip to Europe. Wanted something with a little bit softer footbed. The leather felt stiff and may have broken in with time but for the price, I don’t want to risk it.
