This is the second pair of StrideRite shoes that have completely fallen apart within 2 weeks of buying. The strap across the top has come undone in 3 ways: 1) the Velcro unwound into a fuzzy mess, 2) the Velcro also separated from the fabric backing that comprised the strap apparatus, and 3) the tab you hold on the end of the strap came unsewed and fell off completely. The fact that I paid this much for these shoes is an absolute rip off. I will never buy StrideRite shoes again. Ever.

These are our 3rd or 4th pair of StrideRite Made2Play shoes. They hold up better than other brands we've had for my almost 3 year old. He started out in the XW and now wears W. The wide shoes at Payless don't fit him and the Saucony brand we bought once when he wanted the blue shoes didn't last anytime at all. I don't wash them very often, mayne 3 times a pair if he's gotten them particularly muddy, but they do hold up.

Great, durable shoes. This is our third pair.

We love Stride Rite! Super comfortable shoe and very easy on and off. Held up well for my very active boy.

We depend on Stride Rite shoes because our son needs a W width and it is the one brand that made W shoes for kids with any kind of quality. My boys are ROUGH on their shoes, and these hold up the best of any brand we've tried...even Nike. These are a win in our book.

Hands down, best kids shoes I've purchased. They hold up incredibly well--no fraying, etc. Easy to slip on and off. Great purchase.

2nd pair of Stride Rite shoes. This brand holds up pretty well compared to other major brands. Made better than some shoes I have warn as an adult.

I have 2 and a half year old twin boys. We've bought this same Stride Rite shoe for their go to, day-to-day sneakers for the second cycle in a row. I have one child who needs extra wide sizing (XW), and one regular (M). I've found Stride Rite to be the best I could find for size selection, and the style is good but also simple enough to go with just about any one of their outfits, without being too boring.

Bought these shoes for my 3 year old. They are very easy to put on, durable, strap stays out and he loves them!

My son and I are loving this shoe! It fits him great & he says it is very comfy. We will be buying more!

I love these shoes. My son has been wearing the blue and red pair for about six months and they are great. The only issue is the insoles are coming out. However, I consider these shoes a great buy due to the fact that my four year old has been wearing these shoes everyday for at least six months and that is the only issue. I am purchasing another pair to replace his current pair. They are great shoes! And he wears a wide and they fit wonderfully!

The style of these shoes is great. However, I'm very disappointed that after only a few the material of the velcro strap is unravelling and fraying already. I haven't had this issue with Stride Rite shoes before but have read other reviews questioning the quality of this particular style. Disappointing.

The show receives an overall of three stars because the taupe shoes started tearing with light wear in less than a month of receiving them. Zappos was awesome of course and they replaced the shoes without problem so we are hoping the next pair are okay. My son loves the shoes because they are comfortable and we have always bought this style and brand because, in the past, they have worn exceptionally well and lasted beyond the next shoe size. We have some old very beat up shoes in the same size (he has not changed in size for quite some time but needed new shoes)which are used as "play shoes" for mud and anything rough or dirty and those have no tears but just look like a little boy has been playing and running in them for the past six to ten months. In the past this shoe has always washed well and normally runs true to size and width. My son has wide feet and these are perfect yet don't look like they are "wide" which is helpful since sometimes the shoe feels great but looks dreadful. These look quite nice. In fact, they would look like dressy hiking shoes, if such a think existed.

We are returning these because we find the velcro strap does not work well. When you try to open the show up big enough for your child to get the shoes on, the velcro strap kind of gets caught on the part it feeds through. It would be too difficult for my 6 year old to put on by himself (he has more trouble with shoes than most kids though)

Tried these on at the store and they were extremely heavy for a kids shoe. It seems counterintuitive to put heavy shoes on toddler feet. They trip so much as it is.
