I was disappointed to find that the elastic "shoe laces" are not adjustable, they're pretty much decoration, I had assumed there'd be some kind of toggle, like on Keen shoes. I picked these for my child who has pronated feet, I was looking for something supportive, but the fit around his foot is on the loose side, which is not ideal for his type of feet. It's debatable if we will keep these, which is disappointing, considering the price, and Stride Rite's reputation for children's shoes, which is supposed to be pretty good. I feel they have failed in these shoes.

We bought these shoes for our son and within a few weeks they are falling apart and have holes in them. I am extremely disappointed since we have bought cheaper shoes in the past and they lasted longer than these.

Worst Stride Rite shoes we have ever owned! I love buying this brand for my boys because they usually stand up great and look nice for a whole school year. I was shocked by the poor quality of these shoes. They literally started falling apart within six weeks--seams coming undone, had a hole in the side. Zappos customer service was great and replaced them for us. But within a couple of months the new pair were totally unwearable. I've never had such poor quality shoes from Stride Rite before.

Unfortunately, I did not love this shoe. I love the Stride Rite Soft Motion shoes for my little one, and thought I'd give these a try. They have been returned. The design of these shoes is a fail. I was unable to get the Velcro strap to loosen enough to even get the shoe on his foot. He has a small and narrow foot, but it didn't have any give on the strap, the most important design of the shoe. Therefore, I can't speak to how long these would last. They seem to be well made and are stylish shoes, just lack in the design.
