I love these shoes! I walk my dog regularly on wooded trails and they offer great support, are waterproof and nicely cushioned walking over tree roots and rocks.

I just bought these shoes and with plantar fasciitis and bunions need a lot of support both in the heal and toes, as well as space for my orthotics. My heal slips a little but overall these are excellent shoes and roomier than my Kayagi 21's.

A fabulous shoe, I loved it but the back heel area was to wide and I only needed for a 10 day trip as I live in Florida was not worth it but try it it is a great cushy strong shoe.
I'd also recommend:

Very comfortable hiking shoes/boots. It's like wearing a running shoe but with the sturdiness and weather resistance of a hiking boot. The shoe makes my feet very happy.

Let me start out by saying how much I loved these hiking shoes. I have been on a quest for quite some time for the perfect travel shoe. I gave up on sleek, urban and stylish and decided I needed to go only for comfort. These Hoka's were perfect! So comfortable, padded, and supportive. On our travels, we generally walk between 9-12 miles a day so I need comfort above and beyond style. But, these Hoka's didn't look too bad either (in fact, they are quite cute!) so I was very pleased with this purchase. So comfortable! But, two of the "lacing loops" on the right shoe tore right out, making the shoe unwearable. So, while I would like to give this shoe 5 stars overall, I can't. I had to downgrade to 3. I didn't go lower because I am hoping this is a one off quality issue, unique to this particular pair and not indicative of the shoe in general. I have other Hoka's (including other Hoka Hiking Boots) that are perfect and durable. I can, however, give Zappos 5 stars for customer service!

Toe box is quite wide. I loved them at first, supportive and comfortable. They lost their waterproofing after 2 months of 1 hour daily wear. I wore them anyway because they were comfortable. Then the sole ripped off from walking. Disappointed.
I'd also recommend:
Adidas - any of the waterproof models.

I normally wear an 8.5 women, but these were way to big and felt heavy and clunky. Maybe I need a 1/2 size smaller.

I have small feet so the first piece of good news is they fit. I purchased them at the suggestion of a podiatrist as I have some pain from an arthritic big toe and the roll of this shoe rather than the bending of my toe has really helped.

I hate you are removing them from your inventory. This was my second pair. They are great hiking and walking shoes. I put them on brand new and had no problems. I got one of the last pairs in my size for my second pair. The shoes have lasted over a year and still look good after wearing pretty constantly during that time. Please bring them back.

I bought these on vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was dreading hiking two years ago because of plantar fasciitis and a few debilitating back surgeries. The moment I put these on, my whole body seemed to smile from within due to the alignment the Tor Summit shoes provided. I wore them out of the store and up a couple of mountains. Have looked hi and low and cannot find another pair. Please, oh PLEASE reconsider binging back this model! From reading the many requests it appears you would sell many a pair to many loyal fans! I'll take two please.

I have not had any wet weather to really test these shoes as of yet. They look good and they fit great. We will have snow soon here in Colorado and I look forward to wearing them on cold, wet and snowy days.

I've logged hundreds miles in these shoes and they are still going strong. Comfortable and waterproof! You cannot ask for more! I have the original brown color (my fave--why would they discontinue it??) and also the blue. Am desperate for another pair of these in a size 8--but they seem to be discontinued! Why?? I've tried several of the other styles but none compares. These are the best--PLEASE BRING THEM BACK! And in more colors.

I came down with debilitating plantar fasciitis three years ago and when I found these shoes I burst into tears for the relief they gave me. I am on my third pair and just discovered you have discontinued this shoe. I wear these shoes at some point every day and know I will never find anything to match their comfort. Please bring them back!

I purchased a pair of these shoes two years ago. I wear them every day the temperature is below 70 degrees (approx six months of the year) and when I work at my part-time retail job (year-round), where I walk and stand on a stone floor. I have osteoarthritis in my hips and wearing these shoes has helped to ease that pain markedly. My feet do not slide around in them, they offer plenty of support and they are toasty warm. They are incredibly comfortable. So much so that, while my first pair is still in great shape, I just ordered another pair just in case Hoka discontinues them, as they did the Stinson ATR 4.

I have arthritis in my toe and walk/ hike over 30 miles a week. These are the only shoes I can wear that protects my toe from hurting when I walk. I wear them everywhere. I have tried your other hiking and trail shoes, but none give me the same support. Like the other reviewers, I ask that you please continue to make the Tor Summit .

Been hiking in the woods during social distancing here in Georgia. These are the first hiking shoes I have bought that are Hokas and I recommend them and will definitely buy them again! They are very light and comfortable. Love that they are waterproof.

I am SO in awe of these, I'm buying a second pair (something I've never done) to be sure that I have extra on hand if they ever stop making this style!!!! I am almost always a women's US 7 and absolutely went down to a 6.5 in these shoes. I have fairly narrow feet but do have arthritis in both big toe joints (so they tend to point up a bit - almost like a bunion). With that said, these shoes are FANTASTIC!!! They are waterproof, great tread, wonderful fit and support and the biggest plus is the wonderful cushion they give. I have several orthopedic injuries and a chronic arthritic condition and have, until now, been able to find a hiking/trail walking shoe that allows me cushion, stability and comfort. I am so 100% in love and have found my forever hiking shoe!!!

Have you really discontinued this shoe? I am hart broken. I love my Tor Summit shoes. I was in so much foot pain, I thought I would never be able to take walks or hike again. My podiatrist recommends HOKA so I thought I would try a pair. I was looking for a shoe I could take walks on pavement, trails and for work. I work on cement floors so my feet can take a beating. These shoes were perfect from the moment I first put them on! My foot stopped aching, I could go back to taking walks without pain. They kept my feet dry in winter. They also look like regular hiking shoes, not a sport shoe or a bright, clashing color. I was so happy to have found a shoe that was perfect for me. Now I will have to start over looking again. I just tried another HOKA trail runner but the foot bed has far too much room and feels sloppy. Please bring the Tor Summit back!!

I LOVE THIS SHOE! I just found out it has been discontinued (February 2020) and it made me so sad I almost cried. I am deeply disappointed that I can't buy it again in my size and that I didn't buy another one while I still had the chance. I thought since it was still on the website that I could just get another one at any time. I bought this shoe in August 2016 and have been wearing it almost every day since! This is the best shoe I have ever owned! I have a lot of foot issues and this shoe makes me feel like I have none when I wear it. It is comfortable and very versatile! Keeps my feet warm and dry in the winter and comfortable and dry in summer. I wear it all winter as my "boots" in the Wisconsin winter snow and I wear it all summer too for any outside activities and my feet never get too hot! It is true to size while also fits my custom 3/4 length orthotics and a 1/4 inch lift for my leg length correction without missing a beat. Every time I travel I wear it on the airplane and it keeps my feet warm in the cool air at feel level while on the airplane. I wore it walking many miles around Disney World in 80 degree weather and my feet didn't even sweat! I hiked a 14,000 ft peak in Colorado with these shoes and my feet didn't hurt or have one blister! This is one amazing shoe! The main neutral color of the shoe is not so flashy that I stand out like a sore thumb and blue/pink/gray are some of my favorite colors so it matches almost anything I wear. I wear it with jeans and a hoodie, I wear it with my lighter colored dress pants/shirts outside of my work setting. I wear these shoes to work and then put on my dress shoes and change back into my Hoka Tor Summit's to leave work or run errands. I can not say enough good things about this shoe. I highly recommend and I would like to start a campaign to petition Hoka to keep making this shoe! Don't change a thing! PLEASE!

I tried another style before deciding on these as they were reported to be good for plantar fasciitis. I am pleased to say they are very comfortable. I like the color too! I did have to exchange for one-half size smaller than I usually wear.
