Shoes did not fit once I tried them on...I recommend buyers going with the size they normally wear and not using the "true-fit" process.

It's a good boot but it's not made to last not even for hiking it rips too easily

Great feeling shoe except way to narrow for me. I love to wear it fir its comfort but the narrow width keeps the boot at home. I sure hope you build a wide hiker. I would be a lifetime buyer. I have only found one shoe you make that is wide and own it

In the video they claim it keeps the water out, it does not do that at all, it is not waterproof/resistant. Other than that I love the shoe, but I live high in the mountains and we get a lot of snow. I have severe pain in my feet due to a spinal cord tumor and this shoe let's me hike a full day with no worse pain than normal.

Best boot or shoe I have found for severe Planter fasciitis. and I have tried them all. I just wish badly that it was built stronger for better ankle support. especially when hiking with a back pack. I am a big guy, 255 lbs. and comfort has to come first then support but only because I have tender feet. great comfort out there but need to improve support!!! even after spending up to $500.00 for a comfort hiking boot. these still smoke anything. but dang it Hoka make a but with better hiking support boot or shoe please for the love of all that is holly. oh and these out last all other hoka brads by 5 times the wear.

For the size I purchased the sides on both shoes need to be wider .To recommend this product to a friend I would tell them if you have wide feet this not the boot for you ..

I saved up the money to buy these shoes based on many things including reviews and looks, I had them approximately 8 months before I returned them for defective tread. I will update my review once I receive and use the exchanged pair. I hike about twice a month in Southern California, mixed-terrain for the most part nothing too treacherous, 80% dirt trail and 20% off-trail. My hikes range from 2.5 miles to 8 miles round trip, nothing crazy. I've only taken them through water once and didn't fully submerse the shoe, they kept their promise and kept my feet dry. So I noticed that my tread was peeling off of the bottom of one of my shoes one of the raise cleats was peeling in both directions...I was obviously PO'd considering the price I paid for these. I instantly contacted Hoka customer service and explained the situation to them and they agreed that it was unusual and grounds for an exchange. I boxed them up and sent them back, my exchange was granted and the new pair is in the mail. I have nothing but good things to say about Hoka customer service and willingness to work with me on this. I really can't afford to go out and buy another pair of boots, I don't make that much and God knows that it's not cheap to live in this area. Be on the lookout for my next review.

I've went on 2 backpacking trips with these boots so far and have put on about 40 miles on them. It was in the southern Sierras so pretty rocky steep terrain. I'll start with the positives: They are extremely comfortable and required no break in. They are also very light and really provide less impact on your legs making my hikes feel way better than they did before. I've had knee pain in the past and never once experienced that with these boots. The "Vibrum Mega traction" does grip dry rocks and terrain very well. The boots are also water proof as I walked through a river to test. Now for the negatives: The boots already are showing wear on the bottom and I worry that all the traction will be pretty worn off by the end of summer. Most of the inner traction of these boots is just made of the foam shaped into grip which is the most fragile part of the boot and wears down almost instantly. This section also makes walking on wet rocks extremely slippery and unstable. I am putting that I wouldn't recommend these until I put some more miles on them as I think they are going to wear out too fast.

Next go around with these more padding to the tongue would be helpful. They are comfortable in all aspects except the top on the foot. In order to snug the boots tight enough to handle rough terrain I have to tie them pretty tightly. The top of my foot always comes away bruised and tender. Other than that - the boots are good.

The comfort is second to none but quality has definitely went down! They do wear out to quick for the price! Hoka had better tighten the Chinese up or they are going to lose alot of business! I am going to try something else! Is anything us made?

I loved everything about these shoes except they were too narrow and I was forced to return them. I pray to god they start offering a wider size. I'd pay an extra $100 for the same shoe, just in a wider size.

i have 3 pairs of Bondi - size 10 wide. I ordered a 10.5 and was hoping that would do, but I was also disappointed in their lack of "plushness" I think is how you describe it.

Described as waterproof they forgot to mention that these boots are NOT waterproof beneath the laces. Oh, did you know that the laces go all the way down to your toes. So your feet get wet even if you are just tramping across a field that's wet with dew in the morning. So forget real hiking. These boots, comfortable as they are, are as waterproof as a pair of light trainers.

However to my previous review, I'm a huge fan of Hoka and have worn Hoka's for years. Love each and every shoe I've every purchased from you but the boot just wasn't going to work for what I needed it for. I'm hiking Kilimanjaro and need something a bit more sturdy. Thank you for being such a fantastic company and phenomenal return policy. I will be back many many more time for trail runners.

Was bummed after lugs started coming off the sole after the first 5 mile hike! The boots were incredibly comfortable and stable. I REALLY want these to work because the max cushion is really helpful to me on longer hikes(10+ miles). So I may just try and super glue pealing sections of the sole down and live with it? But for $200+ thats a hard pill to swallow. Maybe these are only meant for easy dirt paths?

Ultimately, the manufacturer messed up the waterproof design and execution of this boot. It is not a full-bootie construction as currently advertised by multiple major retailers and I suspect the manufacturer in the past. That is false advertising and questionable marketing to say the least. To clarify why this is a poorly designed shoe, it helps to talk about waterproofing fundamentals. When exposed to wet conditions while enjoying nature, water penetrates the outer water resistant (NOT waterproof) upper and based on gravity will flow down to the region where there is no eVent membrane protection. In the Tor Ultra Hi WP design case, this is clearly evident where you can see the stitched seams where the eVent membrane ends at the bottom of the interior boot or foot bed. Water will contact the bottom of the feet during prolonged exposure to grass dew, long or heavy rains, traversing snow, etc... It will simply drip down to the ends of the event membrane or foot bed, thus causing the feet to become wet and possibly cold, which can be extremely hazardous in certain conditions. Anyway, it appears the OEM modified/refurbished (post-production my guess) their Hoka One One Tor Ultra Hi WP shoes. I state that because I received one from a major online retailer that advertised them as new when purchased and I received them with ink writing at the bottom, interior of the shoe (under the insole) which typically indicates refurbishing or reconditioning by a manufacturer. In any event, I exchanged the original shoes via Deckers Brand or the manufacturer of Hoka One One products and received another pair from them the 2nd time around with the exact same problem. Essentially, the manufacturer cut the event waterproof membrane at the bottom of the shoe and then stitched the edges to create a slight depression or concave feeling that results in the shoe being uncomfortable (for my feet at least).

I bought these boots cause our local boot store carries them. Upon fitting them they felt great. Walk around the store a couple of times just to make sure. Did a 50# ruck march in them for 10km after getting them broken in. I had No problem while on paved roads. Then we did a land navigation for 15km, (not the same day) there lies the problem. Conditions were muddy and rainy, they did not do so great. It attracted mud like crazy and got wet pretty quick. Going over trees and obstacles were a problem too. The ankle condition seemed to be for light stuff only. At the end of the nav my feet were pretty much done. I would recommend this for road/paved marches but not navigation or trail stuff. Therefore, if you are looking for an all around boot this is not the one for you.

Doesnt offer trail runner level of cushioning, or hiking boot stiffness, nue buck wont withstand prolonged water exposure, ankle support minimal at best, arch support to far back in heel, not sure what these are good for other than looking cool at a premium price

I really like hoka shoes due the cushion and foot stability and was excited to try out the Tor, hoping they could replace a heavier and harder soled pair of hiking boots. Unfortunately the ankle support on the Tor Hi is just not enough to be a real boot. It is easy to role an ankle on a root, rock, etc. I hope the next version stiffens up the top to add substantial lateral stability.

They cause bistres on the outside of the feet - the part that is in the external curve of the boots

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the all black version. There are more comments requesting these so I'm not alone. Some people require all black for their job and these were the best but I can't wear them in any other color!

Bad blisters and these shoes are only going to last a few more hikes before the cushioning is gone. I'm 280 pounds, will be spending that kind of money on legit boots next time instead. Heel-cup sits too low, lead to back pain

I am returning these boots because, while hiking, a stick punctured the mid-sole and punctured my foot deeply. Also, they did not repel water as advertising.
