I bought these for my 11 year old sons first year of cross country running. The other positive reviews and the easy to use lacing system were what sold me on the shoes. My son says they work really well and his times continue to drop as he progresses. Now for the real reason for this review. Zappos CustomerService is second to none! At my sons second race, an official cut the lace as he cut the timing tag off. Long story short; Zappos doesn’t sell replacement laces for the shoes so the phone rep told me Salomon sells the laces for $10 with free shipping and then proceeded to give me a $10 credit on the shoes! These are great shoes! I just wish they came in half sizes. We ordered a 5 Big Kids for my daughter who usually wears a 5 BK. They were just barely too small. I was hesitant to go up to the 6's but they actually fit just fine, with some room for growth and foot expansion for when she runs. She's gone trail running with me now a few times and these are perfect for that as well as hiking and even road running. Great shoe! Salomon's are the only trail shoe I wear.

These shoes are great! My son is really tough on shoes (he's a toe-walker), and these shoes have actual rubber on the bottom! It's hard to find shoes like that now. The reinforced material on the toes is great, also.

Salomon's are our go-to athletic shoes for the kids. We like the style, quality, fit, and performance. I would rate it 5 stars, but the piece on the laces that tightens/loosens the shoe is much more difficult to use than the older style. Not sure why they changed it, but bring back the old one!

I've loved these shoes for years for myself as well as my kids. Excellent styling and support. They also work well with AFOs!

My son prefers these shoes as he has a difficult time with tie shoes, and they are easy to get on and off. The shoe is sturdy and very well made, and we have bought these twice because we have simply outgrown them. Great shoe and great service from Zappos. One time we ordered them and something was wrong with the bungee, but Zappos quickly sent us a new one with no questions. Am a fan of Zappos forever for this!!!

My 11 year old son LOVES these shoes; I have just ordered his 3rd pair! He wears them almost every day, and though he is typically hard on shoes, these last until he outgrows them.
